We were rushed to order and then only checked on once we had completed our meal. No refills offered. We ordered an omelet, side of biscuits and gravy and a waffle. The waffle was great! We even ordered a second. However the other entrees were mid at best. The food here is wonderful...when you receive it all in your order. I work nights so I my morning go to for breakfast on the way home is First Watch. However, the past three times that I have ordered ahead on line for pickup, my order has always been short something. I have been wanting to try First Watch for a while and am always impressed by the large crowds they bring in. The parking lot is usually packed! We went on a Wednesday morning, so the crowd was not bad and there was no wait. We were seated immediately at a nice two-person booth. The interior is decorated nicely in a farmhouse rustic-style. Our server was friendly and welcoming. As it was our first time visiting, we needed a little longer to look over the lengthy menu. I decided to order the Elevated Egg Sandwich that comes with an over-easy egg, bacon, and cheese. I did not get the additional toppings. I also ordered a water, and we were brought a pitcher of water (in a milk jug). This is always nice for convince! The wait for the food was not long at all. Upon first bite, I was instantly unimpressed. When i picked up my sandwich, the entire egg poured off the sandwich. The egg whites were completely runny and the yolk looked barely cooked. At first glance, one would think the cook merely cracked an egg on the sandwich and placed a bun on top. I was grossed out. For the remainder of brunch, I picked at the soggy bun and bacon. The food here is amazing and so is the service but I hate eating in the restaurant itself! It's so loud and when I asked them if they could turn the music down they said it's controlled by corporate? Well corporate needs to turn it down about 8 notches. It's never been a relaxing experience and it's hard to come as a family because it's overstimulating for the littles. The other restaurants don't seem to have this issue. And it's loud fast moving music. Horrible to eat by and gives me indigestion. So stressed when we leave. read more

Last week while visiting, I went with buddies to First Watch two consecutive mornings for breakfast grub. Love. First: the service at the counter/bar was so nice and hospitable. So, we waited a bit to let the kinks be worked out of this new location - but they are not there yet. Friendly service and cute-as-a-button decor gets 5 stars, but food was so-so. We love First Watch, but this experience was not the best as far as taste. Potatoes were a mix of barely cooked and older potatoes that were charred . We asked for fresh crispy ones and the server brought more that he said "were picked through the ones in the kitchen but wasn't sure if they were much better." They weren't. My breakfast sandwich did not have a lot of flavor. I hope they get into the groove. We will try again sometime, and I hope management will dial into the details of what makes this reputable chain great. read more

This is my second time visiting Nashville. First Watch is such a great place for breakfast, I had to come again. Their food is very good and the restaurant itself is very nice, it has a large open area for seating and the lighting is fairly bright. The service is always good. Everyone has a smile and they are so polite. I Will definitely visit again when I come to Nashville. I had The Works omelette. Ham, turkey and sausage with veggies. So good! I love a good hearty omelette and this one for sure will leave your tummy happy. I also had a taste of the biscuits and gravy, Those were also very delicious. Tried this spot again today after my poor experience a while ago. Our host was fine, waitress fine, so great. My problem is the food and food prep. My sandwich (BLTE) which I specifically asked to be served toasted, was not served on toast. I ask that our server remedy that. She took it back. It was returned having been put under a broiler(?) The top piece of bread was fairly toasted, almost burnt in spots, but the bottom piece of bread was still raw.- completely untoasted. This was bad, and worse, the bacon or at least 1/2 of it was quite undercooked. I left these in plain view on my plate. I suggest Walmart for a toaster. It's not that hard to make toast. I try to get to First Watch everytime I travel . I have eaten at first watch in 4 states and it is always great. They were a little under staffed and every table was taken. However, the service was great and so was my food. I do not like the sea salt that comes on top of the almond butter toast so I asked them to remove it and it was perfect. I don't often give 5 stars, especially to a chain restaurant. But this spot has it going on. They've perfected the perfect "mom and pop" breakfast/lightening in a bottle . The true test was our kids. They loved the food...as did we. And the server was super kind (and patient) with them/us. The only mild downer was the coffee. I have been wanting to try First Watch for some time now. Probably won't go back but I did like the menu and was hopeful that the food would be good. Now it was my fault not asking to make sure the egg was cooked. If eggs Benedict is in the menu I will always get it as it's my favorite. This was gross. For me egg whites should never be hard runny. These were, sauce was to Lemony which is t there fault just the way they make the sauce. You can tell a lot by a chef in if they serve brown rubber looking avocado. Unfortunately this establishment does. The quinoa power bowl was like soup with so much pesto sauce on top. This we actually returned and asked for dressing on the side. For me personally I know once I saw the eggs and avocado even if they remade it I wouldn't like it cause the sauce again was to lemony so I paid for my meal and now know if I were to go back special cooking instructions. I generally really like First Watch but this location didn't live up to the normal quality. I haven't hardly written reviews in years but this one felt it needed to be written. The mugs on the table when we arrived were dirty with dried on coffee. At one point are waiting for her to come back and take our order, the waitress let us know she forgot about us since it wasn't her usual section. The table next to us had had dirty dishes and looked like someone had just eaten, and it hadn't been bussed by the time we left. My friend asked if the Butternut Squash bisque had dairy or gluten as she's allergic. The waitress said it didn't. After we got the soup we saw it looked like it had sour cream and we asked her to double check. She said she thought it didn't have dairy. We asked her to ask the chef. She came back with a manager who told us he thought it didn't have dairy. But none of them seemed sure. The plate that the soup came on had soup spilled all over it and had greasy fingerprints. The bacon was overcooked, barely warm and not the quality (thick and perfectly cooked) I'm used to seeing from First Watch. The soup was lukewarm. The pressed juice was good though! All in all not a great experience with a restaurant that I usually live eating at (in other locations). read more

We have tried this restaurant REPEATEDLY since we love other First Watch locations and this one is less than a mile from our home. The customer service and general attitude of nearly everyone who works here is ABYSMAL. Today's fiasco, we joined the online waitlist which said 20-30 minutes. Given our experience with this location, we came at the 30 minute mark. I checked in with the hostess who proceeded to tell me it would be ANOTHER 30 minutes as "Our online check in doesn't sync with our in person check in. I don't know why". Seriously? Why even have an online waitlist if you aren't going to utilize it? Just take the time to drive up to the McEwen location as you will STILL get in sooner and your service will be 10x better. It's a shame this restaurant can't seem to get it together. read more

First...check in for seating from your phone before you leave the house!! My son loves breakfast food and he'll soon be leaving for college (v.2 thanks to COVID). He asked me to take him for brunch. We snuck away, just the two of us - always a treat. The menu options were nice and I was thrilled to try shrimp & grits (my favorite item most of the time). It was meh. The grits were lumpy and dry. My son ordered several items (not sure where he puts it - skinny & tall) - million $$ bacon - best thing we had; an expensive juice - super yummy; and the tri-fecta breakfast. It was tri-flata the eggs were ordered over medium (which should be in a breakfast place's wheelhouse) and came out looking poached, slimy and over hard. Needless to say, he did not eat them. The service was also meh, we had to ask a different waitress for something because I had not seen my waitress in an extended period of time. I am hopeful that this will be better next time, and I will try again, but it is not promising. I just don't know where all of the hype comes from. Good luck!! read more
