2 eggs over medium, bacon, and a biscuit and gravy
BT M.

Half-way often gets more hype than it deserves. The food is decent, but doesn't stand out, regardless of which meal is being served. It does offer cooked to order eggs for breakfast, and follows a weekly menu for lunch. You can also grab items from the warm section. As a bonus, Hatcher's chocolate milk is available in the cooler. Lunch is also a fine, with daily specials and a standard menu offering. Again, you aren't going to be overwhelmed, but you will be satisfied. Of the two meals, I prefer their lunch offering. All of that said (written), it is a place where plenty of old men come to discuss the happenings in the community. I suspect more than one transaction - from the sale of a tractor to the selection of a county commissioner, has occurred over a biscuit or piece of chicken at Half Way. Should you try it? Yes. I also recommend that you eat there, and enjoy the atmosphere.

The service was excellent, staff was very hospitable and extremely nice, we liked the way it was set up as far as seating, it was like you where eating with family, there are actually family dinner tables, very nice ,food was like you where eating at HOME! And that's all I have to say about that

Wednesday is fried chicken day, if you get there late don't blame me. Half Way Market is very good...particularly fried chicken and burgers. Often times you sit at tables with other people; I like that and enjoy the conversations. If I could change one thing about this place: fresh lemon slices for the tea. The lemon juice packets are not worthy to be served along side this excellent food.

The service is amazing and the food is very delicious. I tried the omelette and some breakfast sandwiches and was very pleased. The chocolate milk is amazing. If you're a teenager, you must get that. I looked down the reviews and I didn't actually see any pictures of food just the people there so I decided to take pictures of people there. ambience is really good as well.

Tuesday lunch

Burgers are fantastic and meat and vegetables are always good. Great service from the owners and staff

Old style charm with timeless care and service.

Was a favorite stop at its old location and i am thrilled to find out i have been missing it in its "new" spot for nearly 2 years. Great country cooking and southern charm. Just a little ways outside of downtown franklin. Great lunches!

There isn't much parking but we managed to find a spot just inside the entrance. Once you enter the building you go to the back left side to place your order. The staff was friendly and quick about taking people's orders. This place opened for business yesterday and it was very crowded. All the tables were full and it is just down the road from our office so we got our lunch "to go". It took awhile for the food to come up because it is made fresh. The burger was delicious and worth the wait. French fries were crinkle cut and crispy which is just how I like them. This will become one of our lunch spots. Who knows - maybe one day we will walk in and a table will be available. This is a great addition to this area for lunch choices.

Halfway Market is a true hidden gem in Franklin. The staff is beyond friendly, welcoming, and they make you feel like family. The meat and 3 options change each day and are all so amazing! The chicken and dressing is my personally favorite on Tuesdays! They have lots of unusual drink options in their coolers, plus some amazing handmade desserts! 10/10 would recommend/

The cheeseburger was perfection for my taste. Onion rings were a bit over cooked. It was later in the day and some items were unavailable.

The staff were patient and helpful as I asked questions and considered all my options. I had forgotten that they brew Nashville's own 8&R spresso!! Their 16oz drinks come with four shots - coffee lovers like me will appreciate the strength! Most of their syrups are Monin, I think maybe I saw 1 housemade. What really sets this place apart is the charming farmer's market-style vibe. Besides food, coffee and fresh-baked pastries, they offer their own delicious sourdough and focaccia loaves to go, and a very thoughtful selection of local items - like organic Amish eggs ($6/dozen - unreal price right now and I saw they reuse the cartons/place to return them - heartwarming), bone broths, small-batch sauces, and so much more. I loved spotting a whole shelf of Republic of Tea bags, sold individually so you can sample new flavors before committing to a full tin. You can tell everything is chosen with care both in quality and with a community focus. Franklin Bakehouse is one of those places that just makes you feel good the moment you walk in. It def helped to see and pet some pups too (I assume they are welcome as there were some inside when I arrived).

This is my review for the bakery:…read more I really wanted to support this small bakery, but my experience left me feeling misled and taken advantage of. When I first visited, the owner, Steve Bledsoe, asked where we were from. After I said California, he told an employee to give us the "California discount." When the total came out to $40 per pie, I was shocked and asked why the price was so high. I was given a long explanation about premium ingredients and homemade quality. Feeling awkward and wanting to support a family-owned business, I went ahead and bought four pies. The next day, when I came back to pick them up, I noticed on the register that another customer had been charged $25 per pie. That was a big red flag. To double-check, I later called the shop as a new customer and was told pies are $25. When I asked to speak with the owner, his answers were inconsistent and unconvincing. I'm extremely disappointed. especially in a local business that relies on community trust. I left feeling like I was charged more simply because the owner thought he could get away with it. I will not be returning, and I hope the business reconsiders how it handles pricing and customer interactions. On top of the dishonesty. The pies were not great. I could have supported Costco and bought larger pies that tasted just as good, if not, better.
