I have been driving down Cool Springs Boulevard for close to 4 years now and never knew that this Tropical Smoothie was there! I've even been to the neighboring 7 eleven and PF Changs...and still never noticed! Well all that changed this week when I was leaving the office and had a craving for something that wasn't just a coffee...or water. I was resigned to just swing by Starbucks and scoop up a cold brew when out the corner of my eye I saw this Tropical Smoothie...I made a left at the next light and whipped on in with delight! Funny thing is I ended up getting the Mocha Madness, which is a coffee based smoothie, but it wasn't just a cold brew...and it was extra delicious and healthy-ish, so win-win! The interior of the store is bright and larger than it appears from the outside. They have several tables lining the walls and a spacious ordering area/counter. Inside was well kept and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. I couldn't remember what I had gotten last time I visited a TS, so I gave them what I was after taste profile wise and they helped point me back to the Mocha Madness. Very unprofessional work environment. Management and communication were handled poorly, and employees were often treated disrespectfully. There were also petty actions taken toward me, including my name being repeatedly spelled wrong. Overall, the environment felt immature and poorly managed. I would recommend major improvements in professionalism, communication, and employee treatment. read more

Tropical smoothie is of course known for their smoothies, but I had no idea they had such tasty wraps too. I had the chicken club wrap and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I also had the kale and apple salad, which was a pretty good side. Overall, it didn't make me feel too full or weighed down like many fast food options do. I love tropical smoothie. I go here once a week and always get the same thing: kiwi quencher and the Ultimate club sandwich. Everything here is so flavorful. smoothie king's strawberry kiwi has nothing on the kiwi quencher. And the chipotle sauce on the sandwich is addicting. Sometimes if I'm feeling adventurous I'll get the breakfast flatbread that has bananas and peanut butter on it. I love that it's served warm! My only complaint is that bc of the price of my go to meal, I don't feel comfortable getting it more than once a week lol. But it's always worth it when I do! The smoothie is so filling. Low sugar juices and smoothies. They give you the calorie count other mega juice stores don't. One can see the fresh fruits going in your juice or smoothie with no powders or pre fabbed extras. We had the avocalada which has avocado and I was craving this for some time. Unfortunately, it was the highest calories. I should have had the green detox juice but like I said, I was craving avocado. Maybe because I missed my fill from Superbowl. We tried the acai berry because it is our go to juice almost every time. Acai was what one would expect, sweet with a little tart. The avocolada was not to my liking and I was a little disappointed, however, my craving is now filled and I can move on to the ginger based juices or the cleansing ones. The price is 5 dollars for a pretty nice tall drink, see the pictures posted. We have lived in more expensive juice places, so 5 bucks seems quite reasonable compared to 8-9 dollars per cup with less ounces. Tropical Smoothie Cafe is next to my son's Orthodontist and it is quite refreshing after a tightening of the wires. Wish it was close to Nashville midtown, but 1 time a month is OK. Wish we could go more often. The workers were quite knowledgeable about what sells and what is good to make the juice or smoothie better. Even though I knew the answers it is good to see they knew the correct answers. It is very neat and clean and good for you. We did not try the food and probably may not because we are coming from the Ortho, but they looked pretty tasty and also fresh. There were Flatbreads and I think wraps and salads. We were there for the non-solid offerings. If you like FRESH juices and smoothies and only those ingredients, this is a good place to try if you are in Franklin or after a Dentist visit. I like this place! I had a smoothie and breakfast wrap for lunch, and both tasted good. The prices are probably a little steep for the food portion sizes, but the smoothies appear to be reasonably priced. I had the Strawberry Limeade smoothie and it was delicious. Only critique is I wish the breakfast wrap was heated longer to melt the cheese! A quick lunch option for those working in Cool Springs, in a location with ample parking. Very clean. read more

I wish I could give this 2.5 stars. My food (jerk quesadilla) was actually tasty however my husband's (half an overpriced sandwich)was dry and tasteless. Here are a few drawbacks to this place. Ownership could not have been any more cold and unfriendly. No one offered help with the menu. The menu is confusing as crap and hopefully you don't want anything to drink with your food besides a giant $6 smoothie. Food portions are super SMALL for the price. The place was spotless (brand new) and the smoothie was excellent. But don't expect a great "experience". My daughters & I stopped by for lunch on Saturday. The staff was very welcoming and exceptionally helpful. I had the Caesar chicken wrap and the Advocolada smoothie which was tasty and filling. My daughters had the Turkey Bacon Ranch sandwich, a ham & cheese wrap, a strawberry banana smoothie, & a kids orange flavored smoothie. This place is not cheap but it is good. My daughter at Univ of Tampa said it's good there and she's right but 2 smoothies, 1 fish taco and a jerk chicken wrap with a side was $20.39 total. Not horrible but a bit steep for counter service. The food was all made fresh though. Apple, kale slaw was really good and I heard the owner say to make another small batch while we were there(meaning it's not from a bucket) .
