This was a nice way to start the year, treating a friend from out of state to a really tasty brunch. That being said, there are a few caveats to the four stars that headline this review. Service: polite and efficient. (One member of our group thought it was just perfunctory. I felt otherwise.) Food: brewed coffee - meh. Other breakfast food - very very good. Avocado toast was seasoned nicely and slathered generously with mashed avocado. Breakfast tacos were judged just fine. Eggs Benedict absolutely five stars!! Perfectly - runny yolk - poached eggs on top of tender Canadian bacon sitting on lightly toasted English muffins, all covered with a delectable slightly lemon-forward (I loved it) hollandaise. A small, albeit adequate, portion of hashbrowns, accompanied the eggs along with a few fresh greens. I would order this again in a heartbeat. Ambience: here's where Fika stumbled a bit. While, it is technically handicap-accessible, including wheelchairs" it is difficult for someone in a wheelchair to maneuver as attested by folks sitting next to us. Tables are so tightly packed, it is difficult for anyone to maneuver through to get to a table or all the way to the back to get to a restroom. Fortunately, everyone who was there the morning we visited was reasonably polite and made way for a few people who had some ambulatory difficulties, myself included. Biggest drawback for our group of three was that the acoustics were/are horrible. Nothing on the bare walls or ceiling to muffle or enhance the sound. Screaming children (not a complaint, just an observation) sent piercing squeals reverberating off the walls. Polite conversation was virtually impossible. My suggestion would be that the owners hang some sort of draperies or whatever to absorb the deafening cacophony. read more

Stopped by for brunch with some friends and it was great! The ladies working were very friendly and welcoming. It's a very cute and cozy interior too. Although small, we were easily able to find a table for our group of four. My husband and I got lattes and they were both delicious. The turkey panini was so yummy! I didn't expect it to be a full on slice of turkey so that was a pleasant surprise. Don't be fooled by the small plate size, it was more than enough to fill me up. It has great flavor and feels like an elevated panini. Our friends also loved their French toast! Highly recommend stopping here. read more

Ventured into the Westhaven community for brunch & coffee! Free parking lots behind the buildings. Indoor and outdoor patio seating available, though it is a smaller spot that was very full when we came. While the staff was welcoming, the overall atmosphere felt a bit off for us, it gives off a distinctly affluent, conservative, and homogenous vibe that may not resonate with everyone. During our time in line there were a lot of flies that we kept swatting (likely due to summer heat and the constant opening of the door from high foot traffic), so we got our order to go. It took maybe 15-20 mins to wait in line, place the order, and have it to go, so very reasonable for a busy morning. I got their Iced Coffee with Honey & Cinnamon and was impressed with the quality - very smooth, not bitter at all, so good I didn't need milk. We also were very pleased with our Breakfast Sausage Tacos - they came with shredded hashbrowns, pico de gallo, a red salsa, and an amazing green dipping sauce - it was very flavorful and easy to split between two. We also split a Strawberry Creme Crepe - it was unexpectedly cold, but that was refreshing and clearly meant to be served that way. All in all, the value, quality, flavor, and presentation make it worthy of 5 stars. read more

My daughter and I came here for breakfast. Took her to use the toilet. Came back and found our entire table cleared off!! $60 worth of food for just two of us thrown out! WTH?? One of the waitresses knew we went to use the toilet but another waitress came by and cleared our table. The waitresses have to communicate with each other better. It's NOT my job to inform every waitress there that I'm going to use the toilet. The prepay model is NOT the best model. I've never had this problem at any restaurant that I pay at the end of my visit. read more

The food here is pretty decent and their pastries are good. I was hoping for a matcha, but unfortunately they don't serve it here. The service was kind of slow and the barista stopped to talk to someone she knew for 2minutes while there was a line to the door. Not a place to grab a "quick" coffee if you're in a rush. read more

Our experience this morning for breakfast was fantastic! It exceeded our expectations. This small, quaint cafe, located in the Weshaven community has a very nice atmosphere. The young ladies who took care of us were very friendly and attentive to our needs. My wife got the French Toast with a side of bacon. I can tell you, she is very particular about her French Toast. She loved it. I got the Breakfast Burrito with bacon and it was excellent. I'm pretty particular about coffee, and it was excellent as well. The entire experience, including cleanliness of the cafe, as well as the restrooms, was superb. We'll definitely be back and will be bringing friends with us! They have a variety of delicious items like breakfast tacos, omelettes and pastries but my go-to is the breakfast burrito with bacon and an iced coffee. Rude unfortunately. I entered the establishment and was not acknowledged, offered assistance with the wall menu. I asked a question and no eye contact and no kindness. So I went to high brow and was immediately greeted with eye contact and a smile. I believe customer service is #1, being a small business owner myself. I went in there for the first time the other day with my kids after church. Cute on the inside and the staff were great. My 10yr. old son got an egg plate, sausage "toast" scrambled eggs & hash browns. My 12yr. old daughter got the avocado "toast" and I got the eggs Benedict. I don't know about you but I like my toast toasted. I don't know why you wouldn't toast the "toast", my son's meal, one side of his sourdough was untoasted the other side, barely toasted & cold like his eggs. Needless to say he didn't eat anything but the sausage. My daughter's avocado "toast" was not toasted. She was so hungry she didn't even complain, I checked it out & took a bite. No toast at all, just bread. Should call it avocado bread. My eggs Benedict guess what, an untoasted English muffin I was so hungry. I scarfed it. They brought out "toasted toast" after I mentioned something because they asked. when they brought out the second round, it was only toasted on one side lol I don't understand this logic. anyway the service was great. The food here is usually pretty decent. The coffee is okay, when it's made correctly. What ruins the experience are the children who work here. These teenage girls are so rude and "mean girls" who roll their eyes when you ask for your food/ drinks to be made correctly. I once came here on a lunch break after I called in my order, and after 20 min of waiting for my food, this CHILD forgot to even put in my order! I was on a time crunch and they were being so rude to me about it. She finally sent the order to the kitchen and it took another 20 min. The food isn't worth the price or the service. Get better employees or train them in customer service. After coming here for almost 6 months, I'm so tired of this BS. I will not be recommending it to anyone. read more

Tried Fika today, it just opened so I assumed there would be some growing pains but no! Everything was so smooth and the food was 10/10. I found my new favorite pancakes in Franklin! Big improvements! We have eaten here three times and it's getting better each time. I think they are working out the kinks and figuring things out. When we started going, my son said it best, "nothing tastes like it should." The first few times, everything was very bland, but the third time, everything tasted way better. (The French toast is made with a Cronut-type pastry, which we didn't enjoy.) We most recently tried the huge omelet platter (it needed salt and pepper but was delicious) and the yummy yogurt/granola parfait. If you've tried it once and didn't enjoy it, go back and give it another try!! read more

I finally had the chance to go in and taste several different things and I will say nothing will compare to anything I eat from here on out. The breakfast tacos were the beginning of journey. Outstanding! Then I tried the chicken salad croissant YUMMY! The chicken ranch wrap to die for! I was excited to try this place. Franklin is in desperate need of more breakfast and lunch spots. We did an online order of the Turkey Club and Grinder sandwich. Unfortunately, both sandwiches were very underwhelming. The turkey club had a very thin layer of store bought turkey. For almost $14 you'd expect some fresh roasted turkey breast and a good amount of it. The Grinder was flavorful but small. The bread was also sopping wet by the time I got it home and I picked it up the moment it was ready. I believe this place has a lot of potential but they really need to step up their game. Make sandwiches that you're proud of and that make customers want to come back! read more
