Green Chili Turkey Panini
Victoria B.

Stopped by for brunch with some friends and it was great! The ladies working were very friendly and welcoming. It's a very cute and cozy interior too. Although small, we were easily able to find a table for our group of four. My husband and I got lattes and they were both delicious. The turkey panini was so yummy! I didn't expect it to be a full on slice of turkey so that was a pleasant surprise. Don't be fooled by the small plate size, it was more than enough to fill me up. It has great flavor and feels like an elevated panini. Our friends also loved their French toast! Highly recommend stopping here.

Ventured into the Westhaven community for brunch & coffee! Free parking lots behind the buildings. Indoor and outdoor patio seating available, though it is a smaller spot that was very full when we came. While the staff was welcoming, the overall atmosphere felt a bit off for us, it gives off a distinctly affluent, conservative, and homogenous vibe that may not resonate with everyone. During our time in line there were a lot of flies that we kept swatting (likely due to summer heat and the constant opening of the door from high foot traffic), so we got our order to go. It took maybe 15-20 mins to wait in line, place the order, and have it to go, so very reasonable for a busy morning. I got their Iced Coffee with Honey & Cinnamon and was impressed with the quality - very smooth, not bitter at all, so good I didn't need milk. We also were very pleased with our Breakfast Sausage Tacos - they came with shredded hashbrowns, pico de gallo, a red salsa, and an amazing green dipping sauce - it was very flavorful and easy to split between two. We also split a Strawberry Creme Crepe - it was unexpectedly cold, but that was refreshing and clearly meant to be served that way. All in all, the value, quality, flavor, and presentation make it worthy of 5 stars.

Food was tasty. Service was fast and pleasant. We sat outside and it was very relaxing. The chai latte was perfect. Cute little place!

French Toast bacon side, Breakfast Burrito, and coffee

Our experience this morning for breakfast was fantastic! It exceeded our expectations. This small, quaint cafe, located in the Weshaven community has a very nice atmosphere. The young ladies who took care of us were very friendly and attentive to our needs. My wife got the French Toast with a side of bacon. I can tell you, she is very particular about her French Toast. She loved it. I got the Breakfast Burrito with bacon and it was excellent. I'm pretty particular about coffee, and it was excellent as well. The entire experience, including cleanliness of the cafe, as well as the restrooms, was superb. We'll definitely be back and will be bringing friends with us! Great job to ownership and staff, both in the kitchen and customer-facing!

Fika is a lovely breakfast and lunch spot on the main road into Westhaven. They have a variety of delicious items like breakfast tacos, omelettes and pastries but my go-to is the breakfast burrito with bacon and an iced coffee. The owners are genuinely kind and I have always had great service. I highly recommend this spot as a convenient place to enjoy a meal.

Too many flies in the pastry case. Lackluster service. Disappointing because it's a nice location.

Tried this today, and we'll definitely be back. Small menu but still enough options for all of us and great service.

Such sweet employees. I had an Açaí bowl and it was delicious! Such a quiet place to do Bible study!

The duck fat fries are really addictive and truffle aioli pairs well with them. Also had a chance to try their ranch and that was tasty and did leave that sour taste like store bought ranch. Service Exceptional! Sat at the bar and was immediately greeted. Had the time to relax for a bit and review the menu with no rush to order. Able to accommodate food allergies and had the food brought out quickly. Amibiance Bright, inviting and a nice view of the lake. PLENTY of seating all around. The public house is behind the pizza spot so keep that in mind when heading in. It's nice to be able to look out at the lake and the green area before getting to the restaurant. Would I go back? Absolutely! Want to try many other items on the menu like the lemon pepper calamari, shishito peppers, and the smoked sausage.

So I would recommend coming on a night you're comfortable just going with the flow. Otherwise our waitress was great and the food was good! When I scanned the reviews of potential local restaurants I wanted to visit for breakfast, I was…read moresurprised to find my name already on the Half Way listing. Then....I saw that my review was a decade ago! (That was back when it was a little farther out of town and in a smaller place. So, I came back, anew, to enjoy again. Hands down, this is a friendly establishment with a staff that is welcoming, polite, helpful...and ready to serve you. The interior is open and sports a nostalgic look with large tables accompanied by old (but sturdy) mismatched, carved-high back chairs. Yes, you can sit by yourself, but if it's busy....scoot over and invite a new friend to join you. Most tables seat 6 or 8 -- more "communal" style in a sense. Step up to the counter and order from the solid, albeit mundane, menu: eggs to order, meat side, potatoes, biscuit & toast...gravy if you like. They'll bring it to your table. Nothing fancy. My wife's eggs were scrambled, but not fluffy....rather flat like an unfilled omelet. My over easy eggs were close to perfection and oozed a rich yolk sauce on my deep fried potato cake. Yes, I would have preferred authentic hash browns or "home fries". But this worked for the occasion. Biscuits were buttery and tender. Coffee - average. Sausage patty appeared to be cut from a commercial roll - fried well and tasty. My wife's bacon was absolutely to her liking (hard to get right sometimes). But her's was spot on: very crisp, not burned. Lots of grab and go sandwiches for sale....check out other reviews and photos. Before you leave, pick up a couple of fried pies. (Ten yeara ago I had the peach - yummy. This timr we took home both apple and cherry. Slightly - not overly sweet fillings and a great afternoon treat. Dough was slightly different this visit. (You can see that in my pics...if Yelp still has them available.) As for the "Market" aspect of the name....that is a bit of a mystery - not a lot of market goods were readily visible. Oh!...be careful parking. The unmarked "street side" parking is tight and cars can come barreling down Hill Street. There is apparently more parking on the back side (towards downtown area). All-in-all the vibe was a bit like my Grandma's Country Store (1940-50s) a place where I was born and raised...friendly, comforting, congenial. And, a return for lunch is in order - the menu sounds inviting ... I hope another 10 years doesn't pass before I make it back for that. PS: very clean restrooms available too.
