Such a great spot!! Worth the wait, even on a Sunday morning. We waited in line for probably 20 minutes and made some friends along the way. I got the Reuben along with some biscuits and gravy. Both were amazing, but the biscuits were seriously great. I'm definitely getting those again when we come back. Delicious food and quick service. You order at the front and pay and then they give you a number and you take a seat. I had a DIY omelette and the loaded hashbrowns. Originally the wrong order was delivered to me so I did have to wait until my party finished their meal before my corrected meal arrived. That's the only downside to what happened, but it was most likely a one off situation for them on a busy morning. My omelette was good, but those loaded hashbrowns are my new obsession! Popped into Eggstravaganza Cafe on a Sunday around 11:30 and probably won't be back. The place was packed (which is usually a great sign), but it was so crowded you could hardly move in your chair without bumping into a stranger next to you. The food came out pretty quick but it tasted like it'd been sitting in warmer pans for a bit, the hash browns were definitely dug from the bottom/edges of a pan, they were served with crispy edges and lukewarm. The sausages were also underwhelming. I had a Lavendar latte as well, and while the texture was spot on, the coffee itself was lacking flavor. It was starting to get busy when we arrived. We were greeted when we walked in. They have menus to view at the door while uou wait in line. You order your food then sit down. They'll bring your food out to you. We got there at the perfect time as the line was longer and longer. By the time we left, there was a line around the building. I loved this for them. There was a lady making sure we all had a table. She seemed to really enjoy her job which made the experience even better. The food came out hot and fresh. They serve complimentary angel wings. Its similar to a croissant or Danish with powdered sugar. I ordered a side of pancakes, fried green tomatoes, and grits. The pancakes were amazing. The tomatoes were seasoned to perfection. The grits were too soupy for my liking and the lemonade was very tart. After adding a few packs of sugar, I was able to drink it. Overall, we had a good experience and everyone left full. Eggstravaganza is counter service which, considering how busy they were, it is probably the best idea to keep the flow moving quickly. Although we were in line for quite some time it gave us an opportunity to see how efficient their service was. I am from the south (I love shrimp and grits) and was surprised to discover the Cajun style sauce is vinegar based. The vinegar overpowered the dish in my opinion. I ended up eating the 4 shrimp off the top and called it done. My friend ordered the smoked trout avacado eggs Benedict and green smoothie. They were pleased with the smoothie and said the eggs on the Benedict were cold. The flavors were there for the trout Benedict but the eggs being cold made it less enjoyable. The fried green tomatoes were the best part of our eating experience. The tomatoes were delivered hot and crispy. They were delicious! The staff were nice and efficient. There is plenty of parking.
