Monkey mochas! havana latte (middle)
Anchal A.

This location was so crowded but luckily we were only grabbing drinks to go (still took us a while though)! Most of us grabbed the monkey mocha and one grabbed the havana latte. Monkey mocha was delicious, the banana flavoring doesn't taste artificial (feel like that's rare), and pairs great with the strong mocha. The service was kind and efficient, which I really appreciate because again they were so crowded!

First off, I absolutely love the interior of Frothy Monkey, it's super cozy with lots of indoor and patio seating. I got the chai tea with oat milk and I will say that the drink was quite oat milk heavy, I really couldn't taste too much of the chai which is unfortunate since this drink was about $7. The initial taste was great, but when mixed in with everything else it was just a bit bland. It would be great if they offered to add different flavorings as well or add that to the menu. Otherwise I love the ambiance and would definitely go back for a different drink!

The pesto pasta was too good! So filling and flavorful. Smash burger was delicious. Juicy and great with extra bacon added. The grilled cheese was standout and yum with the tomato soup. Soup was alright but grilled cheese was better

Latte was really sweet, sweeter than I expected based on past reviews so I didn't get my normal half sweet latte. Service was okay, it was super busy so I am taking that into account. It's a nice coffee shop with plants everywhere.

Biscuit flight and Havana latte

This is a really cute brunch spot in a prime location. It was a 45 minute wait on a Saturday morning (they don't have reservations), but they seated us in about 25. From there the service was just ok, as it was obviously very busy, but the inside was just as cute as the outside. The line to just get a to-go coffee was out the door and probably upwards of 30-45 minutes long, so I would probably find a new place if you're looking for something quick. Their coffee and food was really delicious! I think my favorite was the biscuit board-- I know bread and jam is simple, but it really was spectacular. My omelette was also pretty good but nothing special.

We stopped at Frothy Monkey for a late breakfast and had a great experience! The hostess was super friendly and welcoming. While we waited for our table, we hopped in the to-go line for some drinks -- a Golden Monkey Latte, a Rosemary Honey Latte, and a Berry Good Thyme. All were delicious. We grabbed a gluten-free blueberry muffin from the bakery case as well - love that they had GF options! For food, we ordered the avocado toast (tasty, though I wish the mozz and tomatoes were sliced a bit thinner) and a breakfast bagel sandwich on a jalapeño cheddar bagel -- so good! We sat outdoors, and everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful. Loved the vibe here, and we'll definitely be back!

Spontaneous day in 12 South, didn't have a reservation but decided to drop into this spot. The hostess recommended we grab a coffee inside while we waited for our table. The wait was shorter than we were quoted. I ordered a breakfast special and a brunch cocktail. This was one of those meals that leaves you feeling full but not heavy. The restaurant is a quaint little house conversation, busy but with a homey feel.

Monkey Mocha Latte and breakfast outside

We went here for breakfast during our stay in Nashville. After a few nights downtown, this place was in a much quieter location with a very chill vibe. Their breakfast was good and we loved their biscuits. Would also highly recommend the monkey mocha latte! After breakfast, check out the rest of 12 South. Lots of boutiques, coffee shops, ice cream spots and restaurants. Very cute neighborhood!

Yummy food! Cute place! The service was quick and kind. The girlies (kiddos) got plain bagels and fruit. We got the Farmers Breakfast and BE&C bagel sandwich. The Havana Latte was delish. I love that their lattes all have 2 espresso shots, but you choose the drink size based on how much milk you'd like. Also, peep the hot chocolate!

Biscuit board

We found this charming breakfast spot in East Nashville. Very nice servers and a good breakfast menu. We had the farmers breakfast and the bacon cheddar egg on a biscuit. The biscuit board is also a yummy starter to share.

Visited Frothy Monkey in Nashville recently and overall had an okay experience. The outdoor seating and ambiance were definitely the highlights -- relaxing, welcoming, and a great spot to sit and chat. We tried a couple of their drinks, including the Irish Coffee and the Monkey Mocha, but unfortunately neither really impressed me. Both tasted a bit underwhelming and felt like they could've been much better given the reputation of the place. They do offer a full food menu, which is nice, but since we didn't try the food I can't comment on that part. Great atmosphere, average drinks -- worth a visit for the vibe, but I'm hoping the beverages improve next time.

Smash Burger

Food was amazing! We got the bacon egg and cheese with avocado & the smash burger! Make sure you try their Nashville hot sauce if you like spicy garlic!

Log cabin Latte

AMAZING coffee. Opted for the seasonal log cabin latte and it did not disappoint. Perfect overall!

The Beef & eggs dish was yummy

They have started doing a little better about having outlet options, but mainly at those tall, long skinny tables. The ones that aren't necessarily great for working because they're so high up and can make your legs feel weird after awhile. Haha. The other semi complaint I have is that they close early. 3 pm is early when you want to try and work. Drinks are good. I don't drink a ton of coffee these days, but what I've had there was good. I get either their chai or matcha. Both of those I enjoy! I had a sandwich there recently. I wanted to roll my eyes at the price truthfully. However, when it came.. WOAH. It was GIANT. I was thoroughly impressed. It was really really good. I had to take half of it home and put it in the fridge. When I came back home hours later... it was STILL GOOD. The bread was not soggy either! That's HUGE! Ok so overall, I highly recommend this place and it's one of my go to spots.

I'd still consider going back since they're open fairly late, which I really appreciate. There's a small parking lot next to the shop, which is convenient. Overall, a fun spot for the atmosphere even if the coffee didn't quite hit for me.

There was a line when we arrived, but it wasn't so bad. It moved by pretty quickly. While in line, you bypass all the pastries displayed behind the glass and they looked beautiful! Everything looked amazing. I ended up ordering the Twice Baked Croissant and the Fried Chicken Breakfast Sandwich. The Twice Baked Croissant was just incredible. It had pistachios on top, a pistachio cream inside, and also a cherry or raspberry jam inside too. I love pistachios, and the pistachio cream inside was so light, creamy, delicate, but flavorful. I absolutely loved all the different textures. The croissant was airy and fluffy inside, and the outside had a nice flaky exterior. And the fruit jam inside complemented the pistachio cream very well, it added a nice sweetness that blended well with the cream. For me, it tied the whole thing together. I will definitely be thinking of this pastry when I think of pistachio croissants. And for the Fried Chicken Breakfast Sandwich? Wow. I didn't know what to expect, but it was much larger than I anticipated. It was tall, like when I was bringing it to the table the top part of the bun almost fell off my plate because it had height. The fried chicken piece was great: juicy and had a nice golden color. It was crispy and also quite large for a chicken piece.. All the components about it were executed well: the fried chicken, the coleslaw! (i'm a coleslaw fanatic), and the sauce inside the sandwich was wonderful. Also last but not least, the fried egg too? Wow. I love a good runny egg. I'm not exaggerating, I was drenching the pieces of my sandwich in the sauce on my plate. It was just that good. Genuinely, I couldn't believe I finished that sandwich because it was very filling and that fried chicken piece was huge! Service was fast and friendly, I liked interacting with them. It is pretty small inside and we came on a weekend so it was busy and packed. We were lucky to snag a small table but it was difficult to find seating when we got our food. All in all, I'm so happy we came here. Yes it is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. The quality is clearly there and showed up through everything we got. I had such a memorable time, thank you for taking care of us!
