I've been disappointed by the service here a few times. They're always a bit disinterested and short with you here, and this last time my iced oat latte was not filled anywhere near the top of the cup. It's cute inside, with some activity books and lots of merch. There's also room to sit. The coffee itself is good, but it's not a super welcoming environment unfortunately! I'd recommend it for a quick in and out to get a coffee but not as a sit down meeting place. read more

Overall: A nice hideaway from the streets of Broadway, this cafe was a very interesting study spot! They are open a bit later than most cafes, which was a draw for me. I got their matcha with vanilla sweetener, which wasn't my favorite ever, but not bad. It was a nice change up, but I would definitely go there more for a quick chat/catch up. Service: My drink came out pretty quickly! A little pricey (~$9), but nothing I haven't seen before. Ambience: Really cutesy inside and very picture-esque, my only critique is that the flashing lights from the outside billboard really can be a bit overstimulating. read more

Very cute, modern coffee shop amidst a shopping complex downtown. It was frigid out so my husband and I decided to pop in and get a beverage and warm up. We both went for the salted caramel latte which was good as a latte in general but a little light on the caramel syrup. My husband agreed. I don't need a super sweet drink but I would have liked to have taste a bit more of that caramel in there (I ordered it for that reason, ya know?). I added an extra packet of sweeter and it was fine. I guess next time if I stop by I might ask for a little extra. That said, the coffee itself is great. If you like a strong cup or espresso without a lot of frills you'll probably love it! read more

This is such a cute spot. The aesthetic is a mix of chic rose pink meets purposeful minimalistic. It is spacious and they have some tables and one of them can accommodate a small group. Their menu is straight forward and just enough options. From drip coffee to seasonal flavors and classic black. They are located inside on what's 5th and broadway on the ground floor. Parking is the challenging part and hopefully this is not your only stop. Service is good. They greeted me when I walked in and took my order correctly and offered me milk options. read more

A delayed for little spot in downtown Nashville, inside of pedestrian mall. It was one of the only spots to grab coffee, and you could tell by how popular it was! While the line was pretty long, they moved things through quickly, and the barista were very friendly.They had plenty of different caffeinated options, including a number of different ways to take your Matcha... Which appeared to be the thing that women in their 20s are drinking nowadays. I was most impressed with the Kyoto style iced brewed coffee. I've seen this done one other place, and it's very impressive. It's effectively brewing the coffee through along cylinder of ice. It takes an incredibly long time, but produces a nice smooth flavor. I'm sure it's more gimmicky than anything, but I'm all about things that I don't get to see very often, and this is one of them! A buddy of mine also sampled the chocolate chip banana bread. Neither of us are vegan, but both of us enjoyed the treat! We also got a chocolate chip cookie, which was split amongst a group of us there. That too was quite delightful. This is a nice alternative to the bigger coffee chains, and I very much enjoyed some of the different offerings. Well worth the stop in! read more

This coffee shop is just steps off of Broadway. It's spacious and charming. Someone put a lot of effort into the interior design. There is plenty of seating inside. The coffee was good and they have a decent selection of pastries. The one we tried was delicious. I don't believe they are made in-house but who cares if they are good and fresh. Stopped by for coffee for a midday pick me up and had a decent experience. I originally wanted the banana cold Foam latte but it was sadly sold out, so I got a specialty Hollanov Latte which is essentially a maple latte with a salted cold foam. I wanted it to be hot but had to get it cold (that's fine). The maple flavor wasn't too strong which was sad since I do genuinely enjoy the flavor, it just tasted very sweet Moreso than anything else. Other than that, service was super friendly and drinks came out quickly. I always do like supporting a local business and would recommend. read more

This coffee shop was a let-down for me. Vibes: I have passed through Elixr and it has always been bustling, especially on weekends and why not? It's in the Assembly Food Hall. The cafe offers both indoor and outdoor seating, yet it often feels packed. Service: The service is remarkably slow. While I appreciate that a busy cafe can mean longer waits, that's not an excuse here. When I visited, the place was quiet, yet it took about 25 minutes to prepare two coffees after ordering. Drink: I empathized with the barista and wasn't wholly dissatisfied until I tasted the coffee. The portion is rather small for the price, but these factors matter less if the coffee shines. Sadly, it did not. I ordered the "Salted Caramel latte," and the coffee was very watered down, and honestly, I could barely taste the caramel. Soooooo, I hate giving bad reviews but here we go. So much potential here, the coffee is great, nice atmosphere, cool indoor sitting area. Loved it. Then there is the service of the staff...... terrible to be somewhat diplomatic. The gal that took our order pretty much acted as if I disturbed her while universe when we placed our order. The gal who made our drinks had no courteous, customer service bone in her body. Coffee was pretty much overfilled and when I asked for a dish for it so that we wouldn't spill she was unhappy for the request. Mind you we were here earlier and our cups are still sitting In The exact spot we left them due to having no trash can outside to throw them away, the tables were dirty asf and the staff just seemed lazy and unappreciative of people spending money in their store. Elixr has probably one of the better matchas i've tried in Nashville! I ordered the matcha latte with earl grey cold foam, the matcha was earthy but not bitter and not overly sweet. The earl grey cold foam added the perfect amount of sweetness, but mostly tasted like cereal milk. The cappuccino was solid, 5/5. Service was okay. Lots of seating available. read more

Situated in Downtown Nashville, this coffee shop is off Broadway and 5th Street near the Assembly Food Hall. I walked here on a mission for a Peppermint Latte but left with a Banana Mocha Latte (they don't have peppermint syrup). The service was fast and efficient. The ambience here reminds me of a Japanese inspired theme and woodworking. As for my latte, it was a perfectly balanced blend of iced mocha topped with a banana cold foam. It is definitely something I want to try to make at home soon. Reminds me of when I add chopped bananas to my chocolate ice cream! read more

While out exploring Assembly Food Hall, we decided to stop by Elixr Coffee for our caffeine fix. The space is beautiful and I love the pops of pink throughout the coffee shop. The shop was bustling that Saturday afternoon, but line to order was short. Service was pleasant and our drinks were made fairly quickly. Their special at the time I believe was an old fashioned flavor. I'm a sucker for housemade syrups and found out that they make their own, so of course I had to try the September flavor. I ordered it in a hot latte while my husband ordered it iced. Both were excellent. I don't like overly sweet lattes and this wasn't the case at all. The flavors were subtle yet still enjoyable. Stopped by randomly while exploring the city with a group of girls. Ordered the matcha latte with oat milk which was a solid matcha! My friend got the strawberry matcha drink which was yummy as well although the strawberry was slightly artificial tasting. Also ordered lavender honey latte which was tasty. The honey sort of settles in the bottom so mix your drink well if you get that one! read more

**DISCLAIMER: THIS REVIEW IS BASED ON THEIR MATCHA** I've tried both their iced Matcha Latte & Strawberry Beetroot Oat Matcha. The matcha is hand-whisked by the baristas and smooth, without clumps. They are not overly sweet, but not bitter either, just right. I would recommend this place to people who like the taste of matcha without it being overly sweet. These are little amazing nuggets of goodness! If their shortbread was a little more tender, it would probably be the #1 bakery item, I've ever had. The magic is in the caramel! It's so soft, gooey and perfectly sweet. It's the perfect pairing with the lightly sweetened shortbread. Since I had the cookies, I haven't stopped thinking about them. The space is a little narrow but gorgeous, with lots of nice natural-feeling light and an open and airy feel. You can see into the bakery and there's a nice display with all the available pastries. The way the line works conflicts a little bit with the entrance but it moved quickly enough to not be a problem. We got a tahini brownie, an espresso chocolate chip cookie, and a coconut and orange scone. Of course, they also sell beautiful breads and some small meal options like paninis and granola bowls. It all looked delightful. Service was very pleasant and patient. The lady in line ahead of me wasn't being very kind to the workers and speaking to them in a very demanding tone, and they handled her with grace and professionalism. They were also working cohesively as a team to ensure quick service. All our treats were yummy. My surprise favorite was probably the coconut and orange scone. The glaze on top was sweet and pleasantly crackle-y and the flavors were balanced and paired perfectly together. The espresso cookie was also balanced and super yummy; espresso and chocolate go together for a reason! The tahini brownie was fun to try and wildly gooey/rich as promised by the addition of the tahini, almost too much so for my preferences. It is SO fudgy, lol. Definitely very pleased with the whole experience. Give them a try if you're nearby!
