I stopped in for a coffee at Tin Cup and it was a nice visit. The space is open with good seating options and nice looking food, though I didn't sample any of the food items. My iced oat milk latte was good, and the milk wasn't sweet which is my preference. The staff was nice and service fast, so I was quickly on my way. The drink was nice but nothing exceptional but not bad either. Overall a good spot to fulfill your coffee needs. read more

I probably won't ever come here again just because I had to wait over 5 min for someone to come to the register to take my order. I placed a to-go order, just a breakfast sandwich and I waited over 30 min for it. I'm confused. You guys need to hire more help, cause that's crazy. read more

Visited Nashville about 2 weeks ago and stopped by here as it was near my hotel. The latte was delicious and breakfast sandwich good. The girl up front was so sweet and knowledgeable, took time to give me recommendations for the area to make my last day in the city great! Would stop in again. read more

Food is is always greasy; got a yogurt cup (which should be simple) but the granola was stale and the yogurt had separated; a few weeks ago I asked if there was mayo on the ham/cheese wrap. Guy said no it's just ham/ cheese... wrong. It's prepackaged and has no ingredients list. I'm allergic and had to leave and take an EpiPen shot - rest of the day was in bed. Just walk a few extra blocks and get Starbucks. It's a shame bc we prefer to eat local but when it's like this we don't. read more

I had the breakfast burrito with bacon. It was underwhelming. I got more potato than bacon but flavor was ok. Im from CA so I guess my expectations were higher. The vanilla latte was excellent. Great coffee beans. No bitterness. It was a nice atmosphere with great music in the background. You didn't have to compete with it to have conversations. Staff were very kind. read more

Coffee choices were a bit underwhelming, especially their cold coffee options. Loved the little coffee shop details, like a suggestion basket, free bananas, and the wifi password posted. My coffee was ok but servers were nice. My biggest qualm was there was a ton of fruit flies here (or some other type of tiny winged bug) which made me feel like the place needed a deep clean. read more

PRICE- i got the sammy and an small americana. Came to $13.04. You can decide if thats the right price for u. FOOD- the sammy was the best breakfast sandwich ive ever had. Unbelievable flavor and its big. I could smell the maple in the ham and adding an egg put it over the top. Loved the pesto and tomato and the roll was just perfect. LOCATION- its close to all the tourist stuff. You can walk from most hotels safely. Overall ill be back here every time i visit nashville. Morning coffee is import and and Tin Cup does a great latte. I also enjoyed my lemon poppyseed muffin. The big plus for me is that Tin Cup is an awesome space for chilling and sipping on your beverage. Plenty of tables, sofas, seats and other spots for hanging out. And maybe getting work done. The best lattes in Nashville. Love their house made Maple Bourbon latte. Food is fresh. Takes a little while, but worth the wait. Nice industrial vibe to the decor, market lights add a nice ambiance. Great place to hang and relax. Never made it back at night, it looks like they have live music. This place is definitely on my list to return to next time I'm in Nashville. read more

I've said it time and again: Trick may love the kids but Johnny T... I'm on the fence. Actually, let me clarify: babies, toddlers and precocious tots, bring 'em on! Smart-mouthed teens... yeah. Not a huge fan. So, imagine my abject horror to walk in to Tin Cup only to be beset on all sides by unruly 14 year-olds, running about, putting their feet on booths, taking up entire booths with only one person in it, pushing past me, and being incredibly noisy. Oy. I may have made a mistake. In the midst of all this chaos, though, the cheery people behind the counter welcomed me with smiles. Yes, there was a lot going on in the early moments upon entering Tin Cup. From the location (downtown) to the parking lot (tight) to the doorway (small), you steel yourself to walk into a hobbit's home. But then you look around and realize that the actual shop is huge. It's well apportioned with booths, long tables, comfortable seating, and interesting decor choices. The hard wood floor and brick walls add to the comfortable feel of the shop. Visually and functionally, I was very impressed with the design and character of the shop. Even though my gluten-free gut gets in the way of all the coffee shop eating I (used to) do, I like to have options. Unfortunately for me, I arrived after 3 pm and the kitchen closes at that time so if you're hungry, get here before 3. Rationalizing that there probably wasn't much I could have eaten, I decided on a seasonal bourbon maple latte... iced. Yes, I understand the irony of getting a cold autumnal drink but it was near 80 degrees. Give me a break. I paid for the drink and placed the receipt on my dash to start my two hours of free parking.* Drink in hand, I made my way to the back of the room to spread my things out on a large table and wait for my work mate. In the interim, the place cleared out some and calmed down so I was able to hear my thoughts and get a little tickety-tackety done. The wifi was/is strong and reliable so any effort to get some mobile work done while sipping a caffeinated beverage is quite easy. As I sipped my drink and went into the details of some work initiatives, I thought to myself, 'I can't believe this is my first time coming here. I need to come back.' And, I do. You should come here as well. The hours are a little bit unusual (closes at 5) so this isn't your spot for late night studying or catching up with friends. But if you have the need for bean and wifi and find yourself in Downtown Nashville, I think you're likely to become a fan of this fine coffee shop. *Do this. By the time I left, the boot man was roaming the lot looking for days to ruin. read more

My husband and I are in town for a wedding and I was doing some Yelping to find a local coffee shop that had good reviews, so we ended up at Tin Cup Coffee. This is the first time that I've felt misled by a high Yelp rating!! The coffee shop itself is very cute. The interior is very clean and nicely decorated and there is plenty of seating inside. Unfortunately, being a coffee shop, one would hope that their coffee was the best part of the visit which was not the case for us. My husband ordered just a plain old coffee and the cashier handed him an empty cup and pointed him to the small self serve carafe sitting out on the counter. I would expect that from a 7-Eleven, but not a place that claims to be a coffee shop!! I got a cappuccino which was just "okay." Both of our beverages were underwhelming to say the least. They had some food offerings which we didn't try, so maybe that's what the hype is all about? Meh. read more

We stopped here for coffee while on vacation in Nashville. The service was friendly and the coffee was smooth and tasty. We ended up ordering a maple bourbon coffee which was delicious and not overpowering. There is a small parking lot next door to Tin Cup Coffee with a few reserved spots, so you don't have to pay for parking. Four of us arrived for breakfast a little before 10 a on a Thursday. It was fairly quiet. You order at the counter, take a seat and they bring you the order. Beautiful, comfortable seating area with high and low tables, sofa/loveseats and coffee tables along with booths. Rustic, cute and spacious. Staff was friendly but selections were limited. One friend wanted the Egg Taco which was stricken on the printed menu, I asked if iced coffee was available that wasn't cold brewed and they said an expresso iced could be made but that wasn't exactly what I wanted. I also asked if there were different bread options for the Sammy's and was told "no" which I don't think was accurate because one friend ordered the Dos Huevos which came with wheat toast while the two Sammy's we ordered came with a bulkie-type roll...so doesn't that mean at least two types of bread "could" be available for a Sammy?? Between our four breakfasts, we had a Dos Huevos, a ham Sammy, a bacon Sammy and an Avocado toast, two side orders of fruit. The fruit included berries only and were rather small portions. I ordered and Latte and a Cappuccino. It took twenty minutes to receive my order, although no one else was inside. I was handed my drinks in the same exact cups. I asked which was which and the worker responded and said "it doesn't matter". The food is not good and the cashier was very unkind. The pastries look like they are made out of plastic. read more

I'm a little hesitant to write this review. Great space to get some work done. It's quiet and there's plenty of seating; they have a couch, some high top tables and regular tables. There's a small parking lot (with reserved spots - for the Horton building) across the street. It's kinda hard to find. I'll have to take a picture for you guys - it'll be worth more than a thousand words. The barista (if you can call her that) was friendly but new so she didn't know what the wifi password was but didn't attempt to find out. She told us that we should ask one of the people sitting in the space and they should know. I'm not sure why my connection to the wifi kept dropping but it's pretty frustrating. wifi name: purple elephant pw: hammerhead The coffee is just okay. They use Hershey chocolate syrup in their mochas so this is probably how they can afford to keep their prices so low. 12oz -$3.25 160z -$3.75 20oz - $4.25 I'm not sure how much their regular brew is but I think it's about $2.25 or something. read more

Such a cute space! From what I understand, this is a coffee shop/marketing office hybrid. The shop is adorable, a little dark, with a great window up front to sit and read. Stopped in for coffee and discovered the special of the day- the Nutella Mocha. It was super hot so I went with it iced, and it was creamy smooth deliciousness. I would've liked a breakfast sandwich but it looked like they only had some pastries, so I took my coffee to go. The barista was friendly and also offered water, since I had come in after running. There are quite a few spots downtown to get coffee, and Tin Cup is definitely one you need to check out! read more

I do NOT recommend this place! Absolute worst customer service. I was the first customer that walked in at 7:30am when they opened and I was the first order placed (I ordered a sandwich). 5 minutes after placing my order a large group of people walked in. 20 minutes later I still had not received my sandwich and the large group that came in after me started receiving their food! I will not be going back and I will dissuade any of my friends and family from going here. read more

They sell Pancake chocolate muffins although the name is very tempting I would suggest you pass on those they are definitely not worth the 3.50, however I did get a BLT as well and that was pretty good but they could've added a lil more bacon. Over all it was an okay place definitely not my first choice. read more

Tin Cup Coffee opened to the public in the summer of 2014. Prior to the change, the space was known as Rock House Coffee since January of 2013. And from the very beginning we've believed that an outstanding cup of coffee has a way of bringing people together. Meet the Manager: Ben T.

The cafe operations are managed by Ben Thiry. Tin Cup Coffee is owned by Ned Horton. Ned is also owner or The Horton Group, a web marketing firm with offices in downtown Nashville and Madison. He is a long-time business owner in Nashville, having launched Lightning 100 radio and previously owned The Exit Inn. Ned is always looking to enrich our community by providing great experiences such as world-class coffee, food, and events, as well as serving on the board of the Nashville Fair grounds for many years. I've genuinely never had anything like them before. My husband called them "cinnabon on steroids" The pastry was light, warm, airy, and perfectly soft. Then the gooey pecan topping was sooo good, and the cream cheese icing on the side tied everything together perfectly. Absolute chef's kiss. Honestly, order this when you come here.

It was definitely frustrating at the moment, but once our food came out, it made up for it. We had the shrimp and grits along with the steak, eggs, and hashbrowns, and everything was delicious. The sweet cream cold brew was really good, and even though the orange juice was a little small, it still tasted fresh. The atmosphere was nice, and I also liked that they had outdoor seating. Overall, despite the small hiccup, I'd still come back and recommend this spot.

It was definitely higher prices than an Ihop but also better quality. I 100% would come back and recommend this place.

Our waitress (Amanda) was sharp in terms of communication, understanding our selections, friendliness, and the ability to move a lot of plates (with food or not) without losing balance. Our table near a front corner was also pleasant and comfortable. Gayle and Erin started off with a pitcher of Mimosas, while I went for OJ and Coffee, and Jim Coffee. Our selections involved 2 orders of Waffles, 1 set of Lemon/Blueberry Pancakes, and French Toast. Meat sides were evenly split between Andouille sausage (for a little extra spice) and bacon, while eggs were either poached, scrambled, or over easy. I especially appreciated that my "Poached Hard" request came back spot on. The Pancakes/Waffles/French Toast were all light, tasty and well served by the maple syrup. It was all delicious and perhaps too much food. We were all happy with our choices and appreciated our upcoming walks to work all this off.
