This restaurant was extremely close to our hotel. Classic, straightforward menu. I had the avocado toast. It was good and filling, but I would probably try something else next time. I stopped in for a coffee at Tin Cup and it was a nice visit. The space is open with good seating options and nice looking food, though I didn't sample any of the food items. My iced oat milk latte was good, and the milk wasn't sweet which is my preference. The staff was nice and service fast, so I was quickly on my way. The drink was nice but nothing exceptional but not bad either. Overall a good spot to fulfill your coffee needs. read more

Food is is always greasy; got a yogurt cup (which should be simple) but the granola was stale and the yogurt had separated; a few weeks ago I asked if there was mayo on the ham/cheese wrap. Guy said no it's just ham/ cheese... wrong. It's prepackaged and has no ingredients list. I'm allergic and had to leave and take an EpiPen shot - rest of the day was in bed. Just walk a few extra blocks and get Starbucks. It's a shame bc we prefer to eat local but when it's like this we don't. read more

Coffee choices were a bit underwhelming, especially their cold coffee options. Loved the little coffee shop details, like a suggestion basket, free bananas, and the wifi password posted. My coffee was ok but servers were nice. My husband and I are in town for a wedding and I was doing some Yelping to find a local coffee shop that had good reviews, so we ended up at Tin Cup Coffee. This is the first time that I've felt misled by a high Yelp rating!! The coffee shop itself is very cute. The interior is very clean and nicely decorated and there is plenty of seating inside. Unfortunately, being a coffee shop, one would hope that their coffee was the best part of the visit which was not the case for us. My husband ordered just a plain old coffee and the cashier handed him an empty cup and pointed him to the small self serve carafe sitting out on the counter. I would expect that from a 7-Eleven, but not a place that claims to be a coffee shop!! I got a cappuccino which was just "okay." Both of our beverages were underwhelming to say the least. I've said it time and again: Trick may love the kids but Johnny T... I'm on the fence. Actually, let me clarify: babies, toddlers and precocious tots, bring 'em on! Smart-mouthed teens... yeah. Not a huge fan. So, imagine my abject horror to walk in to Tin Cup only to be beset on all sides by unruly 14 year-olds, running about, putting their feet on booths, taking up entire booths with only one person in it, pushing past me, and being incredibly noisy. Oy. I may have made a mistake. In the midst of all this chaos, though, the cheery people behind the counter welcomed me with smiles. Yes, there was a lot going on in the early moments upon entering Tin Cup. From the location (downtown) to the parking lot (tight) to the doorway (small), you steel yourself to walk into a hobbit's home. But then you look around and realize that the actual shop is huge. It's well apportioned with booths, long tables, comfortable seating, and interesting decor choices. The hard wood floor and brick walls add to the comfortable feel of the shop. Visually and functionally, I was very impressed with the design and character of the shop. Even though my gluten-free gut gets in the way of all the coffee shop eating I (used to) do, I like to have options. Unfortunately for me, I arrived after 3 pm and the kitchen closes at that time so if you're hungry, get here before 3. Rationalizing that there probably wasn't much I could have eaten, I decided on a seasonal bourbon maple latte... iced. Yes, I understand the irony of getting a cold autumnal drink but it was near 80 degrees. Give me a break. I paid for the drink and placed the receipt on my dash to start my two hours of free parking.* Drink in hand, I made my way to the back of the room to spread my things out on a large table and wait for my work mate. In the interim, the place cleared out some and calmed down so I was able to hear my thoughts and get a little tickety-tackety done. The wifi was/is strong and reliable so any effort to get some mobile work done while sipping a caffeinated beverage is quite easy. As I sipped my drink and went into the details of some work initiatives, I thought to myself, 'I can't believe this is my first time coming here. I need to come back.' And, I do. You should come here as well. The hours are a little bit unusual (closes at 5) so this isn't your spot for late night studying or catching up with friends. But if you have the need for bean and wifi and find yourself in Downtown Nashville, I think you're likely to become a fan of this fine coffee shop. *Do this. We stopped here for coffee while on vacation in Nashville. The service was friendly and the coffee was smooth and tasty. We ended up ordering a maple bourbon coffee which was delicious and not overpowering. There is a small parking lot next door to Tin Cup Coffee with a few reserved spots, so you don't have to pay for parking. Four of us arrived for breakfast a little before 10 a on a Thursday. It was fairly quiet. You order at the counter, take a seat and they bring you the order. Beautiful, comfortable seating area with high and low tables, sofa/loveseats and coffee tables along with booths. Rustic, cute and spacious. Staff was friendly but selections were limited. One friend wanted the Egg Taco which was stricken on the printed menu, I asked if iced coffee was available that wasn't cold brewed and they said an expresso iced could be made but that wasn't exactly what I wanted. I also asked if there were different bread options for the Sammy's and was told "no" which I don't think was accurate because one friend ordered the Dos Huevos which came with wheat toast while the two Sammy's we ordered came with a bulkie-type roll...so doesn't that mean at least two types of bread "could" be available for a Sammy?? Between our four breakfasts, we had a Dos Huevos, a ham Sammy, a bacon Sammy and an Avocado toast, two side orders of fruit. The fruit included berries only and were rather small portions. I'm a little hesitant to write this review. Great space to get some work done. It's quiet and there's plenty of seating; they have a couch, some high top tables and regular tables. There's a small parking lot (with reserved spots - for the Horton building) across the street. It's kinda hard to find. I'll have to take a picture for you guys - it'll be worth more than a thousand words. The barista (if you can call her that) was friendly but new so she didn't know what the wifi password was but didn't attempt to find out. She told us that we should ask one of the people sitting in the space and they should know. I'm not sure why my connection to the wifi kept dropping but it's pretty frustrating. wifi name: purple elephant pw: hammerhead The coffee is just okay. Such a cute space! From what I understand, this is a coffee shop/marketing office hybrid. The shop is adorable, a little dark, with a great window up front to sit and read. Stopped in for coffee and discovered the special of the day- the Nutella Mocha. It was super hot so I went with it iced, and it was creamy smooth deliciousness. I would've liked a breakfast sandwich but it looked like they only had some pastries, so I took my coffee to go. The barista was friendly and also offered water, since I had come in after running.
