Trust everyone when they say: go early to escape the line. If you do not need the directions know that it will be the fastest 10 to 15 minutes. Waiting in line you'll experience. There are no notes. The pancakes were absolutely amazing and wonderful. They were simple yet so well fine. Each pancake had its own unique flavor and was perfect for the start of a Sunday morning. The dining room felt like an extended family breakfast. The staff was amazingly attentive and were great stewards of their crash. Even down to those who were tidying up the tables, allowing for the next guest to sit down. There's a high level of detail even down to someone forgetting a thermos an hour after they had left the restaurant. My only complaint is that there's not one in South Carolina however, I'll get over it and that just simply means I need to come visit Nashville more often. read more

The wait to get in was pretty long, and unfortunately, their pop machine wasn't working, so they were serving drinks from 2-liter bottles. One of our people happened to be in the bathroom when they were ready to seat us, and they didn't want to seat the rest of us until she came back, which was a little frustrating. We waited 30-40 minutes in line just to get a table, followed by another 15 minutes for the food to arrive. After waiting nearly an hour, I was honestly expecting something exceptional, but I came away feeling underwhelmed. They have a huge variety of pancakes on the menu, which is impressive, but the flavors didn't really stand out. We ordered the Sweet Potato Pancakes, but they didn't really taste like sweet potato. The Blueberry Pancakes were good but felt like something you could get at many other breakfast spots. The hash browns were another disappointment--they were essentially just grilled, smashed potatoes and lacked the crispy texture I was expecting. I also ordered the Chorizo Quesadilla, which tasted pretty plain and could have used much more seasoning and flavor. The French Toast was good, but the real highlight of the meal was the hot chocolate. It was rich, comforting, and easily my favorite item we ordered. Overall, I can see why this place is popular, but for me, it didn't live up to the hype or justify the long wait. I've heard such wonderful things about Pancake Pantry. So, it was a quick decision when the daughter asked me where I wanted to go for breakfast. She warned me that there's always a wait, but being a Monday, I thought it would be ok. We were surprised to find parking right across the street, then arrive to no line and being seated right away. Don't get me wrong -- the place was bustling! Shortly after we got to our table, which looked like the last one, the line started to form. Nicholas was our wonderful server. He was busy but stayed engaged throughout our time there. My daughter ordered the Banana Bread Pancakes while I chose the Swedish Pancakes, then added the Candied Bacon to share. It all came out super-fast! The Banana Bread Pancakes were fluffy, flavorful and so yummy. My Swedish Pancakes were classically thin, slightly sweet and loaded with lingonberry. I ordered the veggie omelette with blueberry pancakes, and my boyfriend got the Three Little Pigs omelette with a banana pancake. We also ordered coffee to go with everything and wow... such a comforting, satisfying breakfast. The blueberry pancakes were fluffy, buttery, and filled with sweet blueberries in every bite, while the banana pancake had that perfect caramelized banana flavor that tasted homemade in the best way possible. And PLEASE do yourself a favor and try the cinnamon syrup with the pancakes. It was insanely good and honestly took the pancakes to another level. Sweet, warm, buttery, with the perfect cinnamon flavor... I could probably drink that syrup by itself. Another "must go" place in Nashville when you research places to eat. We arrived around 11:30 am and waited in line for about 15 minutes before being seated outside on the patio area. The service started out great, but our server disappeared after our food was delivered. She dropped off the check, and a while I went inside to pay and the person at the front counter was VERY put out to run my card. Pancakes were really good -- the sweet potato one was the favorite, followed by the cinnamon roll, and last the banana bread. The hash browns with the added veggies and cheese were delicious!! We tried an omelet; buttermilk pancakes, Caribbean pancake, and sweet potato pancake and all were exceptional in their individual ways. We liked the Caribbean pancake but it didn't need the banana. The combo of pecans and coconut added excellent flavor with crunch. The sweet potato was the least favorite but it wasn't bad. Service Excellent service! Showed up at about 830am and there was no line and we were seated immediately. When we left, there was a line out the door and it was starting to get hot outside. I don't understand how this place has 4.5 stars. We ordered through Postmates and the food was disgusting and not as advertised. Breakfast tacos only had egg and greasy, under seasoned pork belly in a flour tortilla (when the heck do tacos have flour tortillas?). Came here on a Sunday morning at 9 just a few minutes before the rush. Large interior with plenty of seating as well as some patio seating. Paid parking lot behind the restaurant (I believe there is some sort of discount if you eat here - inquire inside). We were promptly seated and the waitstaff came by and answered any questions we had about the menu. We got the avocado toast with turkey crumbles which was fantastic. On the sweeter side, we got rolled pancakes and sweet potato pancakes. They both were great with immense portions and are immensely sweet which is to be expected for pancakes. While waiting for a friend, I was enjoying my meal. I had never been to the Pancake Pantry prior to this visit, and initially, my waitress seemed nice and engaging. However, once my friend arrived, I noticed a definite change in the interaction. The waitress went from engaging with me to directing nearly all of her attention toward my friend. At first, I thought perhaps she was simply trying to make my friend feel welcomed since she had arrived late. But as the meal continued, I found myself having to work much harder to get the waitress's attention. She would speak to my friend and then quickly walk away without asking whether I needed anything else or if everything was okay. What really stood out to me happened when it was time to pay. I took out my card and held it up with my receipt, clearly handing it to the waitress. My friend was still looking for her card. Instead of taking mine, the waitress walked past me and waited until my friend had placed her card on the table before taking hers. Meanwhile, I was sitting there with my hand extended, holding my card and receipt. It was a small interaction, but combined with the noticeable change in how I was treated after my friend arrived, it left me feeling overlooked and uncomfortable. These types of subtle interactions can come across as microaggressive, whether intentional or not. As I said, the waitress was not openly rude, and she was pleasant enough.
