The 4 of us came in for breakfast last Saturday morning, with a fairly reasonable 30 minute wait for our table. Their text system for handling that was efficient and we were all lucky to find a comfortable place to sit both inside and out. Our waitress (Amanda) was sharp in terms of communication, understanding our selections, friendliness, and the ability to move a lot of plates (with food or not) without losing balance. Our table near a front corner was also pleasant and comfortable. Gayle and Erin started off with a pitcher of Mimosas, while I went for OJ and Coffee, and Jim Coffee. Our selections involved 2 orders of Waffles, 1 set of Lemon/Blueberry Pancakes, and French Toast. Meat sides were evenly split between Andouille sausage (for a little extra spice) and bacon, while eggs were either poached, scrambled, or over easy. I especially appreciated that my "Poached Hard" request came back spot on. The Pancakes/Waffles/French Toast were all light, tasty and well served by the maple syrup. Legitimately, this is Nashville's {best} for brunch. We were in town for a weekend to see a show at the Ryman which was top-tier but brunch here was a a close second. You can have it all; the sweet, the savory, the southern, the innovative, and any or all drinks you can think of from mimosas to delicious, dark roasted coffees. **Don't be deterred by the online waitlist either. I have to admit, this was way better than I was expecting from a restaurant within earshot of Lower Broadway. The food was really good. Came for breakfast after landing in Nashville for my bday trip. It was fairly early around 8 ish not too many people. It had ample seating, family style Cafe. Nice and attentive staff. We were seated and greeted by our waiter who was wonderful. My friend and I ordered the the Mardi Gras omelet which had crawfish,sausage, and shrimp (not that I saw any) but I did see the crawfish and sausage and a side of grits. My other friend had the Lobster omelet with cheese and all side of fruit bowl. And a side of smothered biscuits. We also decided to order a pitcher of Mango Margarita but it was too sweet as well as sour and tasted more like passionfruit juice mixed with alcohol; not a margarita. It was hard to finish it but we tried. All in all the food was good and the service was good. But the margarita needs work. Came here with a party of 10, and they had to separate us since our party was too big to be seated at a single table. We initially joined the waitlist online, but I'm not too sure how accurate their online wait system is, because when we all arrived at the restaurant, we were given a whole different time. Initially, after joining the waitlist, we were told it was only a 25 minute wait, and when we got to the restaurant with about 10 minutes left on the wait time, they told us it would be another 40 to 45 minutes. We decided to try this place as it did come highly recommended from other reviews. To us this was just OK. They were extremely busy and we ended up waiting probably a half hour or more to get a table. They do have a waitlist that you join but that just alerts your phone when the table is ready. When we got in, it took a minute for the waitress to come to the table. She was not very attentive as again, they were extremely busy. The eggs in the omelette were overcooked and brown and just tasted off. The side of grits, fruit, potatoes and an English muffin were standard. There was nothing much spectacular that I guess you couldn't do at home. It was really noisy inside and the bathrooms were not very clean. Not sure when we will return again. read more
