We found this gem when we were passing through Nashville, happened to get the last in lot parking spot so it was meant to be! All staff were very friendly! We ordered our meal to go since we were just passing through and it did not make the food taste any less. We each got a latte and thought the coffee had a rich taste which we enjoyed! I got a deconstructed brekkie burrito and my boyfriend got his normal since I'm gluten free. AMAZING burrito!!! It was so tasty, and the sauce/salsa was a delicious touch. Honestly the best breakfast we had all weekend while we were in Nashville! The only downside was we thought prices were a little high but the food was tasty. The vibe on the inside is very cute and quaint. There are lots of plants and the bar area had nice seating while we waited for our food. I highly recommend while in Nashville! We will definitely be back! read more

I have been meaning to try Hearts. Came here around 1:00 pm on a Saturday and waited for maybe 20 minutes to get seating. Service was prompt. Wait staff were attentive and very friendly. The aesthetic of the place would be any plant lovers dream. This establishment is embellished in beautiful plants that provide a calming atmosphere. If it's breezy and pleasant outside, I highly encourage outdoor seating. We were seated indoors, where it was very stuffy with poor circulation. The outdoor seating is spacious and shaded, great for dining in. We ordered the advertised espresso drink with orange zest cold foam 3/5. Very little flavor from the cold foam, but not bad overall. French toast 5/5. More than enough is given for you to share with someone. It was too much for one person to eat. The flambé banana that comes on top was the perfect added touch. Breakfast burrito 3/5. It seems like it was missing something. Spicy Toucan 5/5. The best drink! Reminds you of a spicy marg bursting with flavor. I do want to return to try the katsu chicken sandwich and risotto pancakes. read more

This was my first stop of my day exploring East Nashville and it was a lovely meal! The waiters there were attentive and friendly, always checking up on me and although I only had an Avocado Toast, it seems like a local breakfast spot based on the energy and people there. read more

I've driven by this cutie little spot so many times, but finally had the opp to go when some friends wanted a brunch suggestion. It did not dissapoint! First off, it's just as cute inside as outside. The staff was so friendly, too! I got the chicken katsu sandwich which was divine (like I'm drooling just thinking about it). I also got fries for the table and SO glad I did because they were cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection! Now those are making me drool! My friends got a breakfast bowl and eggs on toast. We all cleaned are plates! Can't wait to go back... now to only decide if I'll try something new or just get what I know I already love... cunundrum, cunundrum... read more

Awesome breakfast spot! Jared greeted us at the door and was our bartender- super friendly, great service. Espresso, Mimosas, eggs, etc. This place is a sleeper... modest small family style cafe on the outside but buzzing with very happy staff squeezing fresh juices and cutting fresh veggies for all the breakfast and brunch ingredients. Gourmet spins on some of the typical fare- yummy house specialty fresh corn tomato salad on a few items. highly recommend, A+++ read more

I enjoyed everything about Hearts. It was so bright in there, and the plants made me feel at home. The espresso martini was delicious and strong, the banana liquor was a creative touch. The salmon grain bowl was flavorful and the portion was enough for leftovers. My friend ordered the pancakes and they were amazing, although I don't like sweet things for breakfast, they weren't overly sweet like most restaurants pancakes. I'm looking forward to my next visit. read more

There is inside seating as well as a large outdoor patio with umbrellas. I sat inside at first but it's kinda tight quarters to the left so I ended up getting a table outside. The service was good and pretty quick. A lot of the menu contains dairy. I got an egg sandwich and added a hash brown. I enjoyed the hash brown. Also ordered a watermelon juice, which was kind of tart. read more

This was my first time dining at Hearts after curiously passing it countless times. My friend and I came in around Happy Hour so that we could enjoy their happy hour of $10 spritz/ wines. I ordered the Como Spritz and I was surprised by the drink's slight bitter sweetness. I didn't realize that Cynar (one of the main ingredients) is a bitter liqueur- and it balanced with the passion fruit very nicely making incredibly refreshing. We sat on the patio, which was perfect for a warm afternoon. The service was great, the servers were consistent in checking in and brought the food out quickly. We spoilt the Brekkie Burrito and the Power Bowl. The Brekkie Burrito ranks within my top 3 breakfast burritos in Nashville. The Power Bowl was PERFECT, I still think about the harissa roasted sweet potatoes and truly hope I can recreate it. Overall, this restaurant is a great place to catch up with friends, enjoy a patio, and have a refreshing meal that doesn't leave you feeling sluggish and gross afterwards. Can't wait to dine again. read more

Delicious food, great vibes, and a warm, welcoming staff. We loved the burger and the eggs Benedict--but the real standout was the banana-coconut bread... hands down the best in the world! It's a fantastic spot for breakfast or lunch, with generous portions, so come hungry. The sunny patio is perfect for relaxing, and there's often live music to enjoy. Don't miss their Happy Hour from 2-5pm daily, with discounted drinks and a solid selection of wines and cocktails. One of my favorite brunch spots in East Nashville. Happy eating! read more

I wholeheartedly recommend Hearts (I'll show myself the door). Everything here was fantastic. We started with the espresso martinis. They make it with a banana liqueur here and it's delicious. I had the brunch bowl. Very reasonable portions and the flavor was great. Also had a crispy hash brown patty on the side, which was elite. It's a little on the pricier end, but I'd encourage you to show up and ball out! I'm looking forward to returning when I'm back in the area. read more

I've had breakfast at Hearts a few times and had a pretty decent experience. This last time I tried something new, and got a breakfast wrap that was ok. I wish I had gotten the ricotta pancakes, as they are my favorite thing on the menu. Parking is basically non-existent. You're better off trying to find street parking outside. I've sat inside and outside - beware that there can be a lot of flies outside in the summer which makes the experience tough. read more

I think this place has great potential but for most of our group it was only pretty good just not for the price. Food: The only items we ordered that got glowing reviews were the matcha latte and The Godmother. The food overall was good because it's lighter compared to the standard Nashville breakfast foods, but the prices leaned high for the taste and portions. Also, the poached eggs in the Egg Benny were almost hard and not runny at all. Service: The staff were nice and attentive! Atmosphere: The spot feels like it was built to be a peaceful and casual coffee shop you could hang at for hours doing work, but since it's so popular it ends up feeling overwhelming on the weekend day we went. read more

This is a wonderful Australian inspired cafe gem with yummy food and great coffee. I got the corn and zucchini fritter with egg, bacon, and avocado and it was amazing. Everything goes well together especially with the chimichurri sauce on top. The corn and zucchini fritter is unique but really good. One thing that would have made this better was the substitution because I wanted the behive vegan chorizo instead of the bacon (on the menu is the same price), but the waiter told me that it was another $2/3 for the substitution and a side would've been $4.5. However bacon and the vegan chorizo were both the same price, so I'm not sure why they couldn't substitute it without any extra charge. I guess maybe because they have to customize that item to take out bacon and put vegan chorizo? Latte was delicious and they had lots of good flavors. read more

Hearts is a cute spot with great coffee and brunch in East Nashville. It's always busy so I was worried I'd have to wait a long time, but luckily there was one table left when I got there. They also have seating outdoors in the back, which would've been nice for a day with good weather. I got a flat white and it was delicious and you could actually taste the coffee which I appreciate. So many good choices for food! But I decided to get the eggs Benny on a potato hash brown with arugula salad. It's interesting that it was on a hashbrown patty but I actually loved it more than just an English muffin. It gave it more flavor and went with the dish. The salad was refreshing, overall great meal! They have a small lot for parking otherwise plenty of street parking nearby. read more

Hearts - Plate of sides and brunch bowl. Brown butter smoked salt latte. - Australian Near Me - Nashville, Tennessee

Coming on Fathers Day was a bold choice for our first time, about a 40 minute wait for a table. We were able to order drinks thankfully - the bar seats opened up and when another group and my boyfriend and I tried to sit we were told to move so people can sit there. Only for another couple to sit there who just walked in and for another group of two girls. Before we let that get to us, we decided to leave and order take out instead. Would definitely love to leave another review for when we take another go at dining inside when it's not too busy and there's not too much stress on the workers! Our take out order took about 20 minutes, we ordered the Corn + Zucchini Fritters, the God Mother and a side of Harissa Sweet Potatoes! The food was packaged nicely and was still warm by the time we got home. We were a little nervous about getting take out but it ended working out perfectly! We also ordered a Rose Matcha Latte and an Iced Latte. (I think the Rose flavor was a tad overpowering, it was too similar to rose scented soap for my senses BUT the matcha itself was great!) Overall, very cute and homey Aussie cafe! While the place is on the smaller side, the aesthetic was very welcoming. There is also outdoor bench seating! Parking was a tad hectic but that could again be due to the holiday. Thank you to the barista for our drinks! read more

Loved visiting Hearts recently for a tasty weekday brunch! This bright and beautiful cafe in East Nashville is a fun option for anyone looking for lighter, fresher fare. There is a small free parking lot attached (which is definitely noteworthy for East Nashville), as well as nearby street parking and another, larger lot right off of Petway Ave. My friend and I met up around 10 a.m. on a Friday and were able to grab a table right away. The seating area is small and a little tight - the tables are very close together. Not a huge deal, as I do think they're making the best use of the space they have, but just something to note if you're looking for a more intimate brunch setting. On a recommendation from my friend, I ordered their Eggs Benny. This is not your typical Benedict - your poached eggs and Hollandaise are served on top of hashbrowns instead of English muffins. I really enjoyed this fresh take on a classic brunch dish. My friend ordered the Brekkie Burrito, which also looked delicious. read more

Super cute spot with parking in front of the building. They have renovated their outdoor patio area since the last time I was there. It's so nice! I ordered The Godmother. It was beyond filling. There was enough for an omelette worth of eggs on the sandwich with a fresh, sweet brioche bun. I asked for my bacon extra crispy which added that needed crunch and the tomato jam & chili crisp added the flavor. Great service -- the staff were friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back! read more

Wonderful place with unique offerings! They don't take reservations. We had an early brunch to near the rush and it was so worth it. Parking is very limited so make sure that you give yourself time and be ready to find an alternate location to park. Our server was very nice. Food is very unique, they have the basis for you want like the smoked salmon on toast which or they have the corn Zucchini fritters which were so unexpectedly delicious. Yuppie slop. If they spent less time stapling vines to the walls, cranking out "trendy" T-shirts, and curating their "vibes playlist," maybe the food and drinks wouldn't taste like an afterthought. Right now it seems like a branding exercise that accidentally serves meals. read more

As Waze was bushwhacking us through Nashville trying to avoid the traffic on 65, we decided that it would probably be a good time to take a lunch break. Of course I pulled up my faithful Yelp and found Hearts. We got there at 11 on a Saturday. There was a large throng milling around out front waiting for tables. We requested first available and after a short 10 minute wait ended up sitting at the small bar. We probably had the best seat in the house, the bartender was an absolute delight. We ordered the ricotta pancakes and bacon to share. After another brief wait, our food arrived. The pancakes, topped with grilled pineapple and butterscotch sauce were delicious - the pancakes were exceptionally light and fluffy, the sauce sweet but not obnoxiously so. They were perfect and I'm glad we shared - we didn't quite finish them. Where the pancakes excelled, the thickish bacon was barely cooked. It may have had potential with another minute or two on the grill. Honestly, at $4.50 for three slices, I'd skip it next time. The brunch menu had the requisite avocado toast and a couple of other toasts that looked interesting. There were unique variations of traditional breakfast items. I don't know if this is a trend but the menu was heavy with sunny side up eggs - they were an ingredient on a good number of items. The menu was rounded out by a couple of bowls, a few sandwiches and some baked goods. There was an extensive bar menu of which I would have loved to explore but we still had 350 miles to go. As I looked around the restaurant, I came to the realization that we were the oldest people in the room by at least 25 years. That's all right - we were always the "cool parents". I guess we now need to embrace being the "cool grandparents"! read more

Stopped by for a late brunch, and was pleasantly surprised by the food here. It's really good. Those hot cakes are some of the best in Nashville, seriously. Service is very attentive and they're pretty nice staff. They have vegan options as well, but I didn't try those. It's a small restaurant with just a few tables, but nicely decorated. The only thing I didn't like was the Matcha. The smoothie served Mon-Fri has a good taste, but it isn't blended very well and just a bunch of crushed ice. All around, still pretty good food. read more
