What a cute place that's just so pink and a girly! I love places like this. We came here for the happy hour which they didn't have much on there but the happy hour special is daily from 4-6 and they also offer complimentary valet as well which is nice. It's part of the "The Hermitage Hotel," near the entrance, offering indoor and outdoor seating. "The Pink Hermit" offers great selection of hot teas, coffees, fresh baked goods and pastries. And of course, their cups and plates are pink. Hehe. It was raining outside in mid-afternoon, I came inside for few hours to admire their hotel lobby. While waiting out the rain, I spent an hour, sitting in the hotel lobby, drinking hot tea with my two delicious pastries from "The Pink Hermit." At one point I stepped away from my sitting area to go admire more of the lobby history and when I returned, one of my untouched pastry and half drunken, pink cup, hot tea was gone. When guests services came back and asked, "Would you like anything else we can assist with?" I replied politely, "Yes please. I had hot tea and unfinished pastry that I stepped away from to admire your historical lobby." He apologized, "I'm so sorry, I cleared that because I thought you were done." "It's alright, it's no big deal," I replied. "What was it that you ordered, let me get that for you?" I was reluctant but he politely insisted. I replied with a smile, "If you want to, you can bring me my order, but I promise I'm not needing it." Few minutes later, he brings me a tray with freshly steeped hot tea, and not one, but two fresh pastries, "Please enjoy on the house." Later, we continued our conversation for about ten minutes. This type of old-fashioned, customer service I crave because it's like a hidden gem . For this reason I highly recommend, "The Pink Hermit," located in downtown Nashville. My son and I went for on 4/19/26. @ 1:45 pm We were treated so poorly. Not greeted, not seated. Told to find our own seat. Had to ask the waiter several times for our refills. We noticed all the other patrons that came after us were seated and properly attended to. The young Hispanic waiter was very prejudice! We're checking it out for a family reunion. Checked out their patio during pizza week and had the avocado pizza and basil cheese pizza with an espresso martini and a grapefruit spritz. We stopped here for a drink and quick snack before our play at TPAC across the street. This is a trendy little cafe in the lobby of the hotel that also serves alcohol and has a food menu with limited offerings. The service was pretty good. For just ordering a single pasta dish, it took a little longer than expected. The pesto brussel sprout pasta was tasty and the old fashioned was solid. Best espresso martini I've ever had. Thank god for coffee shop- bar hybrids where you can get one that doesn't taste like watery coffee and vodka. I'm not picky but it's been a long time since I've enjoyed one for sure. Long time Chicago resident who's a Nashville native who hasn't had a proper one in almost a year for context. The shop is located within the Hermitage hotel, which is well worth a stay or at least a look around. Service was excellent, and the price was reasonable given the ridiculous pricing and taxes throughout Nashville but that's another review that should in no way take away from this lovely coffee shop. read more

The Pink Hermit is an elegant cafe in the corner of the Hermitage Hotel. More a breakfast cafe but they also recently opened for dinner as well. We stopped in for coffee and a dessert for a midday snack. The S'mores brownie was delicious. The brownie itself was actually flipped upside down and frosted on the bottom creating a crust like taste on the bottom. The coffee was great. I just did the fresh brewed coffee black. I parked across the street for $16 for two hours. Our party of 7 stepped into this delightful café for lunch. The smiling staff accommodated us by showing us to 3 open tables. They took our orders and served our plates in short order. Everyone said their meal was delicious; I can vouch for the tomato, mozzarella, and basil pizza. This was the only coffee place near downtown/broadway where you could sit inside and still order coffee past 4:00pm on Saturday, so we stopped in before a show at TPAC. The entire experience was pretty lousy. They had 2 servers apparently running back and forth to the kitchen (but it seemed like they weren't doing anything at all) and 1 person making all drinks behind the counter, taking orders at the register, and answering questions. It wasn't terribly busy, but that might be because every single empty table had dirty dishes on them and had not been cleared, so no new patrons weren't coming in. Many people around me were complaining that it took 20+ minutes to get drinks that they ordered. Probably because even when the 1 bartender finally got them made, they sat on the bar for a long time because the servers seemingly disappeared. I stood at the counter for almost 10 minutes to order a latte and a piece of pre-made cake from the case, then waited almost 20 minutes for it to be "served" with no luck, and had to ask for my premade cake to be put on a plate for me. My hot latte sat on the bar for a while in the meantime, so when I finally went up and just grabbed it myself, it was just shy of lukewarm. If I hadn't pre-paid for my cake and coffee, I would have cancelled the order and left. I felt bad for the female bartender working so hard alone without hardly ANY help from the 2 male servers, so I did tip her, but I wish we hadn't stopped in at all. 2 stars is generous. read more

Please don't spend your money on the Warm Olives or any of the Bruschetta. The olives were not pitted, and they were doused in balsamic vinegar. Furthermore, balsamic vinegar wasn't even in the menu description, so totally unexpected. Olives don't need vinegar on them, they are pungent enough without vinegar. Totally unnecessary. The mushroom bruschetta was cold. And they used flat toasted rustic bread instead of sliced baguette, which made the bruschetta difficult to pick up and eat without it completely falling apart and making you look unsightly trying to bite it. Cute little cafe not far from Downtown. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it's a step up from grab and go-- for lunch at least. I'd be interested to see what they do for dinner or if it's any different. I ordered a sandwich and was pointed to the case in which they keep the pre-made sandwiches. For drinks, they only serve them during dinner it appears but they have 3 pre-made bottled drinks to either take with you or enjoy in the cafe-- the bartender/barista poured it into a glass and gave me a plate for my sandwich as well. Both sandwich (Proscuitto and mozzarella-- very fresh) and drink (lychee raspberry bellini) were good. Would return- a cute spot to pop in before or after a shopping trip to feel like you're almost in a little Parisian-type cafe. They have indoor and outdoor seating but I opted for indoor as it was 92 degrees outside and the inside is more aesthetic. read more
