Go there for lunch on occasion. Limited menu, but good choices and reasonably priced. My favorites are steak sandwich, grilled cheese sandwich, and house salad. The steak sandwich is served on a ciabatta roll. It has Filet mignon, Gruyere cheese, grilled red pepper & onions, garlic mayo, and creamy horseradish. The house salad has Romaine, arcadia blend, heirloom cherry tomatoes, carrot ribbons, cheddar cheese, bacon, garlic croutons, and watermelon radishes (which are an added bonus because they aren't in salads I've ordered at other places. ) The house roasted jalapeno honey vinaigrette put this salad over the top. I was hesitant to order, by the name of it. I thought it may be too spicy, but it's not spicy at all. It has the best flavor, and I have to admit I order the salad sometimes just because I have such a craving for that yummy dressing. I've never had anything like it, anywhere else. The grilled cheese sandwich is different too. It's served on Challah bread with garlic butter. It has bacon, roasted tomatoes, sharp cheddar cheese, and avocado. I wouldn't normally order a grilled cheese at restaurants, but I look forward to eating this one! My friend ordered the garlic bread appetizer for us, which was good too. It was Sourdough bread with garlic, basil, and extra virgin olive oil. It was served with house-made marinara. The marinara made me wish I had more of it and some pasta to serve it on. We finished our meal off with crème brûlée. Yum! I've never ordered anything at this place, and it not be delicious. Food is good. No bread at the table at a steakhouse was odd. The salmon was amazing, pork chops were good. The service was good. I feel like the prices of the food don't quite match. It's very expensive for what you get. The bathroom was clean and well-stocked. Very small dining room, but they do have a few booths, which was nice, otherwise a few small uncomfortable wooden tables/chairs. I will try this place one more time at some point, maybe for lunch, though the lunch menu prices are also very high. read more

I made a reservation last minute for dinner as we were passing through Franklin heading out of town for Thanksgiving. Got in no issue. I ordered the 6oz filet with lobster truffle mac and cheese. This is a must. Of course the daily specials caught my eye because they had pumpkin pecan cheesecake. I also had the pumpkin pie martini. I was a little surprised at the bill how expensive it was. We came early on a Saturday around 5pm without reservations and got lucky with the last two seats at the bar. The bartenders were so attentive and helpful in our consideration of drinks and food. The ambiance is modern and minimalist, the bar had a tv with sports on. I started with their Bleu Cheese Stuffed Olives Martini - it was just what I was craving to start off my palate for the meal. My bf on the other hand wanted a sweeter start and went with their Pomegranate Mojito - I tasted it and it was a lovely take on a mojito, he really enjoyed it! We often order two things to split - so we got a 6oz filet mignon with the truffle mac 'n cheese and my bf got the Bourbon Glaze Pork Chop that came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The steak - wow - we got it "medium plus," lol and it was perfect for us - while the meat was perfectly cooked, I think for the price it could have had more flavor/seasoning. I did not taste the rosemary garlic butter, salt or pepper it was supposed to have. The bourbon glaze pork chop was the highlight of our meal, it's richly flavored and perfectly cooked. I would have loved more than just two asparagus as they paired well. All in all, we were very pleased with the service, quality and flavor of our entire meal; however, for the price point, we think including something small, like a fresh bread service or a simple starter salad, would make the experience feel more complete and balanced. read more

The scallops were cooked to perfection with a very nice crunchy aspect. Tried ordering calamari without the shrimp but it wasn't prepped yet???? They had been open a couple of hours so kind of surprising. Service Incredible...at first. Seated immediately and the waiter was funny and charming. While the food was delicious, i would personally order to go. We showed up 5 minutes before our reservation and sat almost immediately. Service was fast and rushed. The second I put my tip on the card, my wife used the restroom and they came and said, you all need to leave our next party was here. We were considering ordering a cocktail and dessert, but the fact that we were ushered out so quickly was incredibly rude. It put a very sour taste in our mouths and ruined the experience. Our dining experience here was top shelf from beginning to end. Our waitress was very sweet explaining the various menu options. She was spot on with her descriptions. The filet mignon steaks were cooked to perfection and the quality of the cuts were second to none. The sides were a perfect complement to the wonderful main dish. I wouldn't say spectacular by any means, but it got the job done (although I was hungry when I left). I ordered 2 pieces of salmon and 1 piece of chicken (what they put on salads). The salmon was MINUSCULE. I should have ordered 2 more honestly but I wasn't sure how big the pieces were going to be when I initially ordered. They were tasty though so at least that was a perk. My husband rated his burger a 3/10. Our friends seemed to like their food but our kids did NOT even touch their macaroni. So over all I feel like my 3/5 rating works for the restaurant. I planned what I thought was going to be a special lunch for a young woman that had never been to a good steakhouse. Ever since Serratos opened, I have told countless people that the food was good and the service top notch. On June 7, I was going to treat a young woman with a difficult past to a great meal at Serratos. I ordered the Bruschetta. It tasted sour and the steak was tough. She order the pork chop with mashed potato's and mushrooms. I ordered the baby kale salad with shrimp. She said her meal was ok. My salad was spinach. I never found any kale and the dressing was also sour. I put a plate on top of it so not to call attention that I had only eaten the few slivers of strawberries and the shrimp that was on it. Again, I did not want to draw attention to the fact that the salad was really not edible. The spinach was not even cold. Then, who I assume was the cook, came out in to the dining area. Does the health department not require face coverings for men with beards? And one would think that a restaurant like Serratos would not allow the kitchen staff to be in the dining room. All in all, it was a really bad experience. One I am so sorry for because I wanted my guest to have a great meal. With all the steakhouse options in Franklin, I won't be going back to Serratos. I enjoyed it while the food and service were good but obviously that is not top priority now. read more

Sadly, the dirty martinis no longer had that wonderful layer of ice crystals on top, they've either lost a talented bartender or were perhaps just too busy on a Saturday night for a proper shake. Calamari and shrimp starter was good, and the slices of banana peppers are a nice touch, but the batter was a bit too greasy and falling off, so not the great starter it could be. The salads run large, and even a split house salad between us was more than enough for a green course. Nice to have a hit of fresh greens as part of a meal. Ribeye was big and properly cooked, perhaps just a touch under seasoned for me. Wife was very happy with her perfectly cooked medium filet. The crispy fries were the star of the evening. Fabulous, a really great outside crunch on them. Definitely order the fries. The brussels I'm not so much a fan of, but that's personal, the wife does enjoy her Brussel sprouts. We left stuffed, but took a slice of Italian lemon cream cake to share later. It traveled well and made our post dinner pajama and wine time happier. Really like having Serrato's in the neighborhood, and look forward to continuing to frequent. It's hard for a restaurant to fire on all cylinders every night, particularly one as popular and bustling as Serrato's. I'm confident we'll see them back up to 5 starts on our next visit. read more

I had not been back to this place in a couple of years. In our opinion, they went the opposite way of what they should have. This used to be a more laid back, but still nice, steakhouse. Now, they are trying way too hard to be some upscale steakhouse and it just didn't really work. While the filet bruschetta and scallops were good as the appetizers, everything else was sub par. If you are going to charge as much as they do then they probably shouldn't also charge a fee for a small basket of bread too. The drinks weren't mixed very well. The maple old fashioned just tasted like maple syrup. The fish of the day was blackened yet didn't have much seasoning. The steaks were ok, but overall we enjoyed it so much more when they weren't trying so hard. Go back to your original roots and back to where the food and people mattered more than trying to create a moody steakhouse. read more

We've been a customer of Serrato's since they opened but tonight's meal was not up to the standard they set. We loved the ribs. They were melt off the bone, tons of meat and great for the money. Tonight we found out they raised the prices by $7 and these were the toughest ribs with very little meat on them. We have put up with the rising prices the last few years on everything including the surcharge for takeout but they are slowly losing our business. There are too many options in Franklin. read more

We have been to both Serrato's locations quite a few times. I have noticed that things seemed to have dropped off a bit year by year at the Franklin location. We were just there this evening for dinner. Server was a trainee, but did a good job. First course, my wife found a chunk of plastic in her crab bisque. We reported this to what appeared to be a manager. No offer to bring a new one, or an offer to remove it from the bill. Just a "sorry" and took it away. Then our crab cake was served. Looked like it fell off the plate, was scooped up back on the plate and served. Presentation was horrible. Hopefully I am wrong about it falling off the plate and getting scooped up. Then the main course. My wife's was fine. Mine on the other hand was served completely wrong. I ordered blackened halibut and asparagus. That was all. I was served some other wrongly prepared halibut with a pile of mashed potatoes and smothered in some kind of sauce. After bringing this to the same manager's attention, she apologized and took it away in order to bring me what I ordered. A while later, after my wife has already finished, I was served what I ordered. As an apology, they offer a dessert. I declined as I am watching my diet. They delivered the check which included the crab bisque with plastic chunks. I was very surprised. I do know mistakes happen, but to bill for a soup that had plastic in it was appalling. No longer a Hidden Gem... Everyone in Franklin knows of them now! I finally went there and it was..... Fabulous! As soon as I opened the door we were greeted by a couple of friendly ladies that took us to our table. Started off with an Old Fashioned with Sazerac Rye! When you see a Dark Black Cherry on the bottom you know it will be good. And it was! On to the food I ordered the Wedge and is was great, perfect amount of Blue Cheese and Blue Cheese Dressing. For my entree I got the Filet Duo topped with Crab and Lobster Butter sauce. Wow it was full of flavor. My side was the Garlic Potatoes fully loaded. Perfect pairing. My friends got the Filet and Lobster, and the Shrimp and Scallops. They both said they were amazing! Dessert, we got a Carrot Cake for the table. It was so good our friends got a slice to take home. Yes the food was amazing! But what makes a great restaurant is not just the food but the service. Our waitress was Simply Awesome! Her name is Ashley. Found this place with rave reviews on Yelp and I had to give it a try. It's always encouraging when the owner respond to reviews. To me that shows a level of humility and a willingness to make improvements. The place is very welcoming and ok for casual dining or for a dressier occassion. I sat at the bar and I started with a Gerst Yazoo draft to drink with a bowl of crab bisque soup. The crab bisque was thick with an incredible taste and was complimented by the house made garlic bread. Great start to my meal. For an entree I ordered Chicken Piccata with mash potatoes. I ordered a side of garlic mushrooms and a half order of the house garlic bread. The garlic shrooms made for an excellent side with the mash and chicken piccata. Tucked away in a strip mall setting is this owned restaurant. Definitely recommend reservations. I started with a maple old fashion, and it did not disappoint with the flavor of maple in each sip. I had the daily special, which was the featured steak on garlic mashed potatoes. You didn't need a knife to cut the steak it was so tender.
