Finally one of the waitresses realized no one had been assigned our table. We order...my partner got the avocado toast, big hair on the plate. We returned it and my partner proceeds to watch the cook moved the contents of the plate on to a new one. NOPE! That's not how you do it, trash the food and start over. New toast, new mashed avocados and poached eggs. Especially when you have an open kitchen. Seriously. When he declined the re-served meal and what we had observed. Of course by then he doesn't want anything made in the kitchen. My waffle and ham was good. Coffee was great but never offered refills even after the hair fiasco. Don't get me wrong, things happen, hairs do fall into food. But just do the right thing...trash the food and remake it.

This is for take out only. We did not eat in the restaurant because it was far from meeting the 50% capacity limit. I wish we had because the food is so much better eating in the restaurant. If you are getting to-go, the fajitas and quesadillas are great. The chips are perfectly crunchy and not oily. The Chicken Nachos however, are better skipped for take out. They take a great big chip, smear a teaspoon of refried beans with a tiny bit of cheese then put a hammered piece of white (already grilled) chicken breast on top. Then they put it into a broiler or something that dehydrates the entire thing until you end up with chicken jerky on top of dehydrated bean flour on top of a dried out chip. I have ordered it twice thinking the first time surely was a fluke. It was not. Also, they do not offer online ordering. You will have to call the restaurant to place your order. The Guy who answered was very polite but they evidently do not offer them access to a computer that calculates totals. He said they would have the total when we pick up the order. However, he was happy to take my credit card info over the phone. Um yea no thanks. I would prefer, to not have my credit card info written down and carried around a restaurant for all of the staff (and other random people) to access. Anyway, the dog loved the chicken jerky and we will stick to the fajitas and quesadillas in the future. read more

I cannot write enough words to say how much I dig this place. I got hooked on the tacos the first time we ordered to-go. First of all, chips and salsa are delicious. Chips have a nice crunch and are not oily where you're left with grease marks on your fingers. The salsa is a half/half of red and green. We usually just mix it altogether and it's sooo good! When we had the chance to eat at the restaurant, we ordered a few other things in addition to the tacos. I created my own combo and had an enchilada, flauta, and chalupa. The chalupa was huge - not what I was expecting. The flauta was even bigger - so cripsy, packed with flavor, and I wish I ordered 5 more. The enchilada was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. If I had to order the combo plate again, I'd order all flautas or a combo of flautas and chalupas. The tacos were the winner winner chicken dinner of the night. Chicken tacos and duck tacos were both amazing! You can tell their ingredients truly are made from scratch and fresh. I just wanted to ask for more corn tortillas to take home! I can't believe it took me so long to try this place and am glad I did. I think after our first to-go order, we visited twice more within the week! read more

Decided to check this place out for lunch on Sunday to see what the hype was about. To summarize food was good but the service was terrible! Our waiter George came by and poured us tea when we wanted water then asked if we wanted tea instead...answer was no. Then we put in our order of queso and our meal. 30 minutes later the meal arrives and the queso was forgotten. Never came by to refill our drinks. Once we were done eating it took some time before he came by and asked if we wanted dessert - we responded no just the check. Another 20 mins roll by still no check. Finally a manager came by our table and asked if we needed anything and again we said just the check. After another 10 mins the waiter finally comes by with the check and didn't acknowledge the fact that he made us wait or forgot the queso. Just seemed like he didn't care. I've never felt it necessary to Yelp until my experience here last night. I was having a rare night out on the town with my wife. A friend had suggested this place for margaritas. Wow! What a selection. Our waiter Brittany suggested a watermelon infusion.. My wife loved it! We were also directed to the New Mexico sauces available on the menu. I had a the steak and poblano pepper.. The flavors have never been so perfect. Hats off to the chef. Brittany was very attentive and seemed happy to be there. Ron who I assume was management stopped by and made sure we were doing well, chatted us up about his chef and suggested the Churros for desert... Another Bulls Eye ! Loved having dinner here! Everything was so precise. Our waitress Haley was beyond amazing! She answered every single question, and was just over the top knowledgeable about the menu. She knew Every drink, every entree. I haven't been this WOW'd by a waitress in a very long time, please ask for her! She's the best! She has a few tables but you wouldn't even know it. Had dinner there Sunday night 11/15/2020 - the place looks super clean and prepped - everyone was doing their do diligence to cover their faces and wear gloves due to covid. The food was great, Modelo's were cold, and Ernesto our server was very kind and patient. We sat on the patio with the heat lamps on. It was very comfortable sitting outside even when the sun set and the temperature was dropping. This is a nice place to visit, easy access off the North Dallas Tollway. My…read morehusband called his son to ask where were all the good spots and he said hands down you have to go to Mariana's! What a great recommendation! Not only is this a super cute location with a really nice outdoor patio filled with colorful plants and lots of shade, but they also have excellent service. The man who took our order was really friendly and was patient to answer all of our questions. I ended up going with a lengua taco and a bacon egg and cheese taco both on corn and they were amazing, and their corn tortillas are excellent! My husband went with the shredded chicken and a potato egg and cheese, and he was absolutely loving them. Potato egg and cheese is never something that's really over the top, but they really know how to do it right here at Mariana's, the potatoes were cut small. They were very soft. They had salt and everything had lots of flavor. The real star of the show was their salsa! Both the red and green were mind blowing! If they sold them by the jar, I would have brought home two of each, they were so good! Their salsa is so flavorful it just enhances the already amazing tacos. Definitely a taco shop I will go back to every time I'm in Dallas visiting.
