Hands down the BEST pizza I've had EVER!!! I can't believe I've never tried Mezza Luna Pizzeria before. The Boot has harmonious flavors that make all your troubles go away! It's that good! Must try if in town!

The pizza at Mezza Luna is truly exceptional all-around, but one of the things they do especially well is their crust.  It's impossible not to love it - mostly chewy and part crisp, thin, but with enough thickness around the edges to satisfy die-hard crust cravers :-) Not only is the crust exceptional, but the toppings can be described with just one word: WOW!!  Digressing to a few more words, at Mezza Luna you'll find a long list of creative toppings, all made with fresh, quality ingredients.  You can specify exactly the combination of toppings you want, or opt for one of their pre-configured speciality pies. Tip: Their lunchtime special of a slice and a salad is pretty tough to beat :-) The prices here are surprisingly reasonable given how delicious their pies are.  I found myself wondering how they make a profit, but then I realized that given how popular this place is, it'd be pretty hard not to ;-) Because "Man does not Live by Pizza alone", they also have a very comprehensive selection of beers to drink with your pie. On the off-chance that you aren't up for a whole pie, Mezza Luna offers their pizza by the slice as well.  Each day they have five different kinds (one pepperoni, one cheese, and three other rotating "surprises".  All the pies which can be purchased by the slice are displayed in a glass case up front.

Horrible old slice not even 1/4 inch thick. Gross.

Huge bummer ...this was my favorite pizza place for years but they keep serving up crap. Not sure what's going on but the location in Springfield isn't good anymore either. They had a guy that made the best pizzas and we haven't seen him in ages and every whole pie we get now sucks. It's also strange the ingredients don't seem as high quality. I literally just ate the last slice of pizza I will ever eat from this place. I think the picture speaks for itself.

Cheap and delicious food, pizza by the slice, great service and great little indoor seating area! Probably about 10 tables. Great for a rainy day.

However, the crust was way too thin toward the middle of the pizza to even hold the toppings. It just flopped over. It was maybe a mm thick?? Toward the outer half of the circle, the dough was good consistency and quite delicious. The arugula salad was nice. With some orange slices and lots of cubes of beets, pickled red onions and sunflower seeds. Too much oil in the lemon vinaigrette IMO since it all tasted a bit oily. The beers were excellent. Service good (order at counter and they will bring it to you). Parking in the neighborhood, a bit sketchy.

If you've ever wandered the streets of Eugene, Oregon with a little nostalgia in your chest and a…read morehunger in your gut, you already know there are some places that aren't just restaurants they're landmarks of memory. And Track Town Pizza... well, that place doesn't just serve slices it serves time itself. Let me set the scene. I'm posted up at the Hayward Inn, a stone's throw from the sacred ground of Hayward Field. Every visit, no matter how many years pass, there's a ritual: lace up the memories, walk the same streets, and end up right where the legends linger under the warm lights of Track Town Pizza. You walk in, and there he is... Steve Prefontaine... staring down like he never left. Not just a photo more like a reminder. Now here's a little flavor for the soul: Track Town Pizza opened back in the late 1970s, built right in the heartbeat of what folks call "TrackTown USA." It became a hangout for runners, students, dreamers anybody chasing something. And yeah, over the years, plenty of local characters passed through bartenders, staff, regulars who became part of the story. Guys like Steve Fontaine? They weren't just pouring drinks they were part of the era, part of that gritty, analog Eugene vibe. We're talking decades back now roughly 30 to 40 years ago when this place felt like a clubhouse for the track-and-field faithful. But for me, this isn't just history it's personal. When I was younger, I didn't have much... but I could run. And like a lot of kids trying to find their lane in life, I found mine looking up to Prefontaine. The way he pushed, the way he talked "To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift." That stuck. Still does. So every time I walk into Track Town Pizza, it's not just about grabbing a slice it's like shaking hands with that younger version of myself. The kid who believed grit could take you somewhere. And let me tell you the pizza? Still hits like a victory lap. Old-school, no nonsense, loaded the way it should be. No gimmicks. Just honest, legendary pies that have fed generations of runners and late-night thinkers. So yeah... five stars doesn't even cut it. Because this place isn't just my favorite spot near campus it's a time machine. It's a shrine. It's a reminder that dreams don't die, they just wait for you to come back and visit. And every time I'm in Eugene, I do just that.
