Very casual small shop. Staff are very relaxed and friendly. There are several bench tables and a few high tops. The beer bar is at the back in a 'no minors' section. There are three tables and six stools at the bar area. Storage space for their supplies is minimal and stacked along one wall. Tables and floors are clean and the bench seats are comfortable. The pizza we ordered was a Mt St. Helens with Canadian bacon replacing the pepperoni. This is delicious! Screaming hot and steamy, fresh out of the oven. The crust is thin and crispy. The mozzarella is nicely melted and the toppings are well proportioned. The red sauce has a nice tomato flavor. There is an additional subtle flavor I can't 'sauce out' (pun intended). I don't know if it's from the Canadian Bacon or a combination of flavors, but it really adds to the overall taste. Went to the south Eugene location for a quick takeout for my family before the holidays. I've gotten the slice and salad deal from the Oakway location multiple times in the past without a problem. Oakway seems chronically understaffed and slow, but the kids who work there are friendly and clearly trying. Pro: pizza was tasty, the two guys with the pony tails who were working when I placed my order with were friendly and playing some nice tunes. It felt very relaxed. Pizza was ready within 15-20 minutes, totally manageable. Con: A woman who seemed to be a higher up at the south location hurried in with a very flustered air while I was waiting for my pizza. She was clearly late and behind schedule. I overheard her in the back while we were waiting and she was not very kind speaking to the other employees which made for an uncomfortable atmosphere. She was cold and terse with my family when bringing out pizza out to us. We ordered garlic gnots and she forgot those initially. When I pointed that out, she denied the error and only relented when I showed her my receipt. She was even rude bringing them out after relenting. Will not be returning to the South Eugene location after this interaction. Please be nicer to your employees and customers. read more

Pegasus offers an awesome lunch special. A slice of pizza, a side salad, and a beverage. It'll run you between $8-9.50 depending on type of slice and salad. I personally recommend the Gorgonzola Pear salad. Simple ingredients but they do it right. Yum. I'd love to give Pegasus 5 stars because their food and their staff are great, but, they need to rethink the cost of toppings. My favorite pizza has peppers, onions, and black olives on it. Most places offer a "3 topping" option for a few bucks more. It was going to cost NINE DOLLARS to add those 3 veggies to our pizza. I mean, it's onions, not lobster. No thanks. Garbage. And that's where I threw it. I ordered a "Little Pep pep" large ($25.00 plus delivery cost and tip). No receipt was provided. It arrived on time but when I opened it up, I was confronted with a mass of grease on an underdone crust. I have NEVER seen so much grease in one place, not even a skillet of fried bacon. It was so gross. It was impossible to even lift a piece it was so wet. I tried using paper towels to salvage it, but it didn't help. Today was my last try at ordering from Pegasus (my last order was a year ago and not good either). I'm so done this this place, I hope they go out of business. Anyway, this pizza went in the trash. My family loves their pizza, so when my kiddo asked to have their pizza at her birthday party we were happy to oblige. The 3 star rating is because I specifically called hours in advance asking to have the pizzas ready at 4:30 and when I arrived I was asked to wait. When I mentioned that I had asked to have it ready by 4:30, I was told it would just be a few minutes which turned then became 8 minutes and sadly 2 slightly under cooked pizzas. 1 star - 5 stars for the bartender, -4 stars for the restaurant. My suggestion - SKIP THIS PLACE! If you're in dire need of pizza, buy it next door at PC Market of Choice. But, DO NOT go to this Pegasus pizza location. Here's why... When you first walk through the door, you find a great looking location. It is bright and friendly. They really did a good job of converting the prior restaurant (Black Rabbit), which was dark and stuffy, to a friendly pizza place atmosphere. In addition, they kept the bar around back, which serves beer and wine. However, the experience goes down hill from there... If you're really lucky, you'll be greeted by a host / waitress who is friendly and outgoing - I think she said her name is Morgan - she came back to our table three times to see if we were in need of anything, and if the food was to our liking. She was very professional and very friendly... However, If you're not so lucky - which is more likely the case - you're going to be greeted by a not so friendly host / waitress - she wasn't actually around long enough for me to catch her name - if I were to describe her, she's shorter, has brown hair, medium build.... Honestly, I'm not sure why this other person is even in the service industry - she's rude, and incompetent. She greets you with a fake smile, and an even more fake 'sit anywhere you like' greeting. After the initial oh-so-awkward moment, she'll follow you to the table you choose, throw the menus on the table, and briskly walk off. (it was such an awkward moment, we even discussed amongst ourselves if we had sat at a 'the wrong' table, or what we might have possibly did to piss this person off) As if enduring this person as our host wasn't enough, we then have to endure this person as our server! Oh my! After waiting for what seems like an eternity, she finally arrives at our table to take our order. (we discuss what she might be busy with, as there are only two tables occupied in the entire restaurant) Our pizza arrives at the table...and what do we find? it's made wrong! (this starts the discussion of how hard can it be to put two ingredients on a pizza, with a third ingredient on half?) In addition to that discovery, we go to serve the made wrong pizza, only to find it's burned on the bottom and around the edges! Burned? Seriously? I'm 90% sure our pizza was the only pizza in the oven! How do you burn the only pizza in the oven? However, we're starving...so instead of sending the pizza back, and enduring what I can only describe of as a troll of a host / server, we decide to eat the ingredients off of the top of the pizza with our forks... And so ends our first experience at Pegasus Pizza on Willamette... Wanting to give the place more than one chance - we have visited the campus location over the years and have thoroughly enjoyed the food and service there - we decide to go back a few more times... She arrives at our table - and in a voice that I can only describe as a step sister scolding Cinderella - she tells us, 'I need you to move and make room for three children I don't want to sit in the bar'. Stunned, we reluctantly move into the bar. (we ask ourselves, did we really just get asked to move from our table? in 20 years of eating out, we can't recall ever being moved from a table we were sitting at..wow) Hoping to salvage this last experience, we get our pizza to go... I had occasion to pay a visit to Pegasus Pizza today, as my wife and one of her friends decided to take a study lunch break from LCC. We each ordered a lunch special, which was a huge pizza slice of our choice and a salad. I got the pepperoni with a Greek salad, which was $7.25, if I remember correctly. The gentleman who served us, both at the register and the table, was very friendly, and quickly brought our order to our table. I ate the salad first, which had romaine, kalamata olives, tomatoes, feta cheese and vinaigrette. I asked to hold the peppercinis, as I don't really like them. The salad was made from very fresh ingredients, and very flavorful. Then I dug into the pizza! After eating my salad, it was still piping hot. It was a huge thin-crust slice, with hot gooey cheese and delicious pepperoni! It was heaven in my mouth! Unfortunately, I live quite a ways from Pegasus, but when I do go to South Eugene, I always make a point to grab a bite to eat at this fantastic, locally-owned and operated pizzeria! This is one of a half dozen places my wife and I will eat at when we come to Eugene. Each time we visit we order a house salad a medium pizza. Each time the salad is fresh and crisp, delivered quickly to the table. Both ranch and bleu cheese dressings are good. Pizza is prepared well, generous toppings, spicy sauces, creative house combinations. Last time we had one with mushroom, roasted garlic and ricotta. Ricotta really worked! Not much on atmosphere, but the music is not repulsive. There's a TV . Eating outside in the nice weather is the way to go. read more

We have had great pizzas from Pegasus every week for months, until last Thursday. We tried new selections, The Mediterranean, with large tomato halves that might have come from a can, and The Apollo, with its overwhelming garlic base and roasted garlic cloves added to that. We have loved our other selections in the past, but these were gross. No balance of flavors that we had come to expect. I had to think an inexperienced cook made them, there seemed to be no quality control, such as someone in house actually trying these selections to refine them. They could use cherry tomatoes instead, and on the other one, either a light garlic base or roasted garlic cloves, but not both. I tried to find a way to email the manager but the website has none. read more

Edit*** I got a very nice call from a person named Calin who assured me this shouldn't have happened, and that in fact the Willamette location can and will deliver to us, and they've recently added an additional car for deliveries. He was gracious and even offered a credit. The follow up was what I most appreciated, however. We'll call them next time we're in the mood for pizza. This used to be our go-to delivery option, but the service has been going steadily downhill. At first the pizza was good (not great, but good). Salads are pretty good, if sometimes gritty (wash your greens, please!). I started ordering our standard with extra cheese and toppings, as the toppings seemed to get skimpier over time. Recently I placed my usual order at the South Eugene location (closest to us) and the young lady on the phone said, "yeah we don't deliver up there anymore, you have to call Campus," and hung up without another word. Ooookay. We called Campus several times after that, no problems... Tonight we called Campus (after being able to order from them successfully several times) and were told it was too far to go as they only have one driver working tonight. The location is right next door to the Market of Choice, the interior is very nice and the booths are very comfortable. I ordered 2 slices, they range from 2.75-3.75 each. They also have a slice, salad, and drink special for roughly 7-8 dollars. I went with the meat option, which was Hawaiian + jalapenos. The second slice I ordered was a plain cheese. First impressions when looking at it were pretty good. But as soon as I picked up a slice, the middle of the pizza was droopy and I realized quickly why my pizza was delivered with a fork. The sauce just didn't taste very good either, it needed more acid, salt and garlic -- just bland. Total let down for pizza, I really liked the people and interior, just wish the food matched. read more

Living so close to the 29th Street area, my roommates and I were thrilled to see a Pegasus taking up a vacancy. I love pizza by the slice at Fathoms, and my roommates touted the tastiness of their whole pizzas as well. We eagerly counted down the months while they renovated the space. When it finally opened, I was a bit dismayed to see that they stop serving pizza by the slice in the afternoon. I'd love to be able to drop just a couple of bucks and get a small meal to-go so close to my house, but alas.... We quickly got over this set-back and ordered a pizza for takeout soon after the store opened. Bleh. Nothing special AT ALL. The crust was bland and hard to chew through, and the toppings on our Tijuana Taxi made the it soggy in the middle. Wasn't terrible, but definitely wasn't "artisan" or worth the price tag associated with "artisan." For a football game about a month later, we decided to roll the dice again and called in two full orders of hot wings. As soon as we opened the box, we were wary. There wasn't much sauce, and the wings looked strangely misshapen. After eating a few, we deemed them inedible--though I've had 'baked' wings before (as opposed to fried), the batter that they used to coat the wings with turned into a doughy, undercooked shell that was entirely unappetizing. Foregoing the wings, we ended up grabbing a pizza from Market of Choice next door--much better, value-wise than the pizza we had had a month prior from Pegasus. To their credit, Pegasus refunded us for the wing purchase after we expressed our displeasure. I may end up giving them another try because of how close they are to our home, but not for many, many, many months. Maybe they need to do some oven repairs/maintenance... read more

Pegasus is just fine. A-ok 'za. Frankly, I wish that I loved it; it being right in the neighborhood and all, but it's really just average. The crust is too thick for me, and the red sauce ain't my fave. The three sisters though, is a good pie, and on their olive oil base I get to avoid the red sauce issue. The atmosphere is nice, typical for the location (strip-mall'esque) and the service is friendly. When ordering take-out, make sure to confirm your order, though. We've had to learn this lesson the hard way. On more than two occasions, my Man has returned home with pie we didn't order. Still I would be remiss in overlooking the fact that Pegasus was more than happy to remake our pie when they learned of the error. read more

Pizza isn't meant to be so sloppy with grease that it has to be eaten with a spoon or fork from a plate because the slices are so limp all the toppings just slide off. And that was Pegasus' idea of extra-crisp, evidently. You lose regular customers when we can't count on the quality of your food from one week to the next. Sadly, we paid for a pizza we didn't get. My first time eating pizza at Pegasus and I wanted to know only how their plain cheese pizza compared to Market of Choice's next store in terms of taste. I didn't experience their dine-in table service. I called ahead and ordered one medium cheese and it was ready for me on time for pick up. Good customer service - the girl was friendly and gave me two extra slices and discounted the pie because the pizza slid into the box a little weird, but it didn't look bad to me. I'll take that, though. So the pizza wasn't bad, but I must say that the pizza next door at the MoC hot food counter simply tastes much better. The cheese has much more flavor or something and the crust is doughier. It's kind of sad because I want this place to survive, but I can't justify going here when it costs the same to get a much tastier slice 50 ft. away. If that weren't the case, I might come here for lunch. But it is the case. So I probably won't be frequenting Pegasus :( read more

Had a brutal experience tonight. Called in for 3 gf pizzas- because we LOVE the gf crust here, especially on the little Italy. They said it would be a 40 minute wait to pick up, we came 45 mins later and we're told it would be another 20 min wait. After waiting another 10 mins we were informed that they on had 1 gf crust. And that it would be another 35 plus mins for our order. In the end the comped us for the pizzas and sent us over to the coburg store to pick them up. Very disappointing, as we are loyal regular customers and love their pizza. read more

I just noticed the store on Willamette has opened and having been craving Pegasus for while but rarely find myself willing to go campus and it's December, Oakway isn't happening! I dropped by this extra convenient location to grab a pizza. This store is new and very nice inside. I ordered take-out so I can't necessarily rate much more than the food and the front counter at this time. The service was fast and friendly, I was able to order and skip on over to the store for the twenty minutes I was quoted. The pizza was done by the time I returned, which I can't say was plus or minus twenty minutes, it felt about right though. I am a huge fan of their pizzas and this one was just as good as I've come to expect. I look forward to my next visit now that the location is so close. read more

I hate to say it... but I really prefer Market of Choice's ala carte pizza rather than Pegasus and both are in the same complex. Here is the deal- every time I have gotten a made to order pizza from Pegasus the cheese ends up sliding completely off of the dough when I pick up a slice. You know what I'm talking about. Cheese.
