I love Pegasus. I have always loved their pizza. I love that my vegan husband can get a good vegan pizza there that includes dairy free cheese and tons of gourmet toppings. Lately I have been loving the salads. I have tried the pear gorgonzola with feta instead of gorgonzola and the strawberry chevre. Both with chicken and house dressing. The salads are huge and very fresh. I love the house dressing and love that they don't skimp on the dressing or chicken. Service is always very friendly. I would recommend anyone try Pegasus. read more

I went to Pegasus last week with coworkers for a going-away party. We had a large group (10 people and a dog) and seated outside on a lovely afternoon. Nobody expected the rain to start (in August...) but the staff at Pegasus happily assisted us in moving our tables closer to the building- under the awning, and they put up umbrellas for us. Since it was still a warm evening we enjoyed our two giant pizzas and several pints of beer- it was comfortable and everybody enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Pegasus staff checked in on us periodically and it was clear that they were concerned with us enjoying the experience. I live nearby and utilize Pegasus delivery occasionally (though delivery is from their campus location) and have never been disappointed. Keep up the good work Pegasus! You rock! read more

I just ordered an Aegean gluten free pizza and let me tell you, I've had many gluten free pizzas but this is one of the best!! The crust has flavor and doesn't taste like cardboard like so many other crusts and the pizza toppings themselves were fresh and wonderful. The service was very nice and fast as well. First time at Pegasus tonight and I couldn't be happier with my impromptu decision to go and get a pie for take out. Nice little spot to go and grab a quick bite. Well lit and good for a group of no more thank 3-4 people. Me and my girlfriend were stuck on all the delicious flavor combinations so the girl behind the counter recommended a half and half. Brilliant! So we did,also they were about 15 minutes till closing and we wanted it for take out! Went next door to 16 Tons and had a beer while the pizza was being made and went back a minute or two after closing and they were really nice and had our pizza waiting for us. Absolutely love this place. The staff are always friendly, they know me by name. I know when I go in there my order is going to be exactly as I ordered it. I usually get the Maui-Wowie which is great. They also have wonderful cheese bread which is to die for. Stopped in a Pegasus Pizza for lunch today. Ordered the Slice Special as we wanted salad. Unfortunately you pay for a drink to get the special, even if you don't wish to have a drink. Pizza slice was huge and tasty, but not as good as I expected since Pegasus Pizza has been raved about for years. The caesar salad was terrible. I would rate it half a star. The counter person wasn't especially friendly; not unfriendly really, but I'm really put off when service people can't manage a smile. Poker faces just don't do much for me. I'll go again and try another slice of pizza but will forgo the salad. read more

I had such a horrible experience at Pegasus Pizza that i had to take the time out my day to open up a Yelp account to let you all know about it. Yes, it was that bad! My family had been supporting this business (campus location) for over 10 years...and at $28/pizza, that's a lot of $$ we've spent with Pegasus! I am writing this because I am absolutely shocked at the treatment I just received from their "manager of 14 years", Tara. I called her to ask a simple question about their pricing that the counter help couldn't answer the night before. When I finally speak with Tara over the phone, she immediately took an attitude, told me that they charged me fairly (which I disagree), told me that they have been in the business for 25 years, and that she hopes I can find something good to eat somewhere else. Then she hangs up. Unreal. This issue could have been quickly and easily solved with some patience and flexibility. Instead, she was a rude troll and Pegasus has lost my business for good. Good thing Market of Choice has delicious pizza right next door. Off to tell my friends..... p.s. Pegasus-your manager & staff is losing business for you. We came for lunch with the kids. We sat outside at the very clean and inviting patio. We ordered inside and got an extra large half veggie/ half cheese. The pizza was crisp and light. The veggies were very fresh and nicely complimented each other. We had water to drink, and it was really nice that the dispenser was accessible for me to get the water and even to send my kids back in by themselves to refill their cups. The wait didn't take that long to cook the pizza, it was very inviting on the patio and pleasant to sit and talk. It was really nice that they came to brought the pizza out to us. When the pizza came out it was hot and fresh. The veggies were fresh and crisp and had a really nice blend. I especially enjoyed the artichokes and I also really liked how they had a jalapeño tucked in with the veggies. There was a nice assortment of veggies and they covered the pizza. The cheese half was light and crisp. It was a great lunch and I felt full and also fresh at the end of my lunch. I will go there again. read more

I am very surprised by all the negative reviews. Personally we have had nothing but good service and great pizza since these guys moved into Rabbit's old location. We are very particular about our pizza and have tried multiple places around town and have found that consistency in preparation is definitely an issue in Eugene, but not at Pegasus SW. How is the pizza - great! Sauce has a little bit of tang, which provides a great contrast to the cheese, yet is not so strong as to offend the taste buds of my 11 year old (extremely picky eater). Crust is on the thinner side - not quite East Coast, but definitely good enough for the pickiest of pizza lovers. The cheese has actual flavor, not your bland, garden variety mozz... My favorite pie is the Three Sisters with jalapenos. The addition of the extra heat just makes a good pie that much better! We get a couple of pies almost every week and I can say that we always get consistent pies. One time we received someone else's order when we picked up our pie, and they quickly made us a replacement and gave us a pie on the house! I always find the staff to be friendly and attentive. They seem to be in a good mood and happy to be helpful. If you haven't checked out this location, you should - for eating in, they have a pretty sizable dining room and a great outdoor patio. In the summer, you can sit on the patio on Friday nights and listen to the live music that is played in front of 16 Tons next door. One of my favorite things is that I can order a pizza, grab a growler or two next door at 16 Tons, grab some ice cream at Market of Choice, pick up the pizzas and go home with everything all with parking the car only once!!! That is convenient! Get yourself a frequent buyer card - sometimes you have to ask for them, but after 10 pies or slices, you get one free - that is awesome! My only complaint is that you have to use PonyExpress for delivery - I don't love those guys....they may be convenient with their online ordering, but they bump up prices and charge a delivery fee..... I have talked to the girls at Pegasus and they have told me that they hope to have their own delivery soon.....so keep asking and hopefully we can get them to take the plunge soon!!!!! read more

LOVE THIS PLACE!!! We came on a Sunday around 7pm after attempting to get Thai food around the corner (Thai place was poppin and packed!! We'll try again) Very clean and fun inside, small but fun :) The service was awesome and quick!! The menu has just enough to have good options but it's not overwhelming. The prices are decent as well. We ordered a Cesar salad, Garlic sticks and a small Aegean pizza for the two of us. The salad was fresh, crisp and perfectly dressed. The garlic sticks were light with real garlic NOT JUST SEASONED and they were amazing. The pizza is a good size for being small and the crust is to die for, so light and crispy but soft JUST GREAT!!! They also manage to put the perfect amount on each slice. This is a great place to go if you don't want to be loaded with grease but still NEED pizza. I think Pegasus deserves another star, we've had it twice and it's wonderful! Well it will cost you more than papa Murphy but it does NOT make me have an upset stomach, so the ingredients are #1 for sure! You can taste the pepperoni and sausage! I found this place on Yelp and decided to try it out as something different that I don't have at home. I was glad to do so. It is a not a huge place - basically a hole in the wall. However, I had to try one of their Calzones that I read about. It was great!. I had a "small" house salad which was huge. The only reason that this review does not have 5 stars was the service. The waiter was friendly and checked on it me a couple of times. However, I thought it took quite a while to get my food. In addition, a couple who came in after me got their food a few minutes before I did. This was not a major hit since the food was very good. If you are in Eugene on business or pleasure like I am, it is worth trying them out. read more

Pizza slices and salad are sometimes quite good, but sometimes they skimp to the point of it being almost insulting or prepare food carelessly, and it shows. Makes the food bland and boring. Disappointing. I've had Caesar salads with virtually no caesar dressing. Had blatantly insufficient toppings on more than one occasion there. Sometimes pizza of the day is good; other times out of bounds. Afraid to roll the dice with that. My worst experience there - the one that made me post this, was the other week, I bought a large Aegean pizza, and what I got was a small pizza slouching in the middle of a large crust. Not kidding! I was floored when I saw it. I have photos. Took pic w/tape measure held up to it to prove it. Each slice only 1/2 to 2/3 topped. All toppings toward tip of the slice. Rest of each slice was bread. 2"-3" of barren bread on outer ring, if you can visualize that. Give me a break! I'm not vindictive or unreasonable, but I don't like being taken for a fool, nor cheated. Was not pleased with staff's attempt to explain away deficient large pizza they sold me as 'typical' and acceptable. Never gotten a slice for lunch like that, my large pizza for family dinner should not be that way either. They said air bubbles pushed stuff toward the center. I looked photo again. Not buying their assertion. Looks like a small pizza's worth of cheese & toppings on large crust, with some straggling bits of cheese browned on outer 2-3" of the crust. End of story. They politely made me a new pizza, quickly. Was OK but bland. Had better there. Forwarded pic of original pizza to a friend and asked "What would you think if you ordered a large pizza and got this?" My friend replied "That you got its smaller, less appetizing brother." To be fair, Pegasus food can be quite good. But it shouldn't be a gamble. They should charge what's fair to serve good food with good quantities, every time, so people can count on it and know what to expect. Do that, and I'll revise my review, and be a regular. Otherwise, staff are friendly, location is good, ambience is fine. They should have their own delivery service for locals who want to avoid that busy intersection and crowded parking lot. Don't want to pay or wait extra time for 3rd party carrier and risk cold pizza. read more

I would give them zero stars if I could. Easily the worst pizza I have ever had which surprises me because of their reputation. The pizza we had was very undercooked with a very soft chewy crust. My jaw is very tired after chewing three pieces. I will likely need physical therapy to recover. Crust is the worst ever (and I have been eating pizza for over 50 years) - very undercooked. Chicken on the pizza,was also chewy, probably was frozen before. These guys wouldn't last a week in NY. Stay away. Give someone else a chance. read more

Flies, flies, flies, flies.......and more flies. Wow, this place needs to be cleaned! Tried ordering our pizza and were swatting flies from our faces and from entering our mouths. I expect a fly or two during summer but not in the dead of winter. After we ordered our pizza we were still swarmed with little black flies. So I decided to look up on the wall behind us and the whole wall was covered with these things. Absolutely disgusting. The pizza here is flippin amazing! I stopped in with a yearning for a pizza that would fill my hole. The atmosphere at Pegasus was very positive and everyone there was very helpful. With the help of the staff I was able to select a pizza fit for my appetite and they directed me to several good choices. I chose to go with a medium half Combo, half Mediterranean. AND guess what! it was awesome. The toppings were the perfect amount. The crust was crisp and the mushrooms were fresh! There were a lot of good looking pies and I cant wait to go try some more! "Yeah it's ok" said with a slight shrug, a subtle gesture acknowledging the relative dearth of good Za in this town. The slices are generally pretty bad, old pieces of reheated thin crust parched of any moistness by their age; the veggie slice is invariably devoid of all but a few dessicated red peppers. Cooked pepperoni ages better apparently. Where Pegasus (and I'm talking about the S Willamette location here) shines is with fresh pizza. While not stupendous, it is at least good enough to share with friends without worrying about incurring their scorn. read more

Love, love, love Pegasus Pizza. The salads are incredible. Pear gorgonzola is amazing. It's wonderful to sit out front. They have quite a few tables to give customers the option. And... even better, when sitting outside, I can bring my dog. They always bring out a bowl of water for my four legged friend. The staff is so friendly and very accommodating. Very few times have we waited too long for our food. If the restaurant is busy, the server let's you know what to expect time wise.
