I stopped in for this lunch slice and salad special and was reminded how good of a deal this is! I selected a slice from three optioned prepared in their case and selected the salad that I wanted. When my food was brought to my table I was surprised at the size and how delicious the salad looked. I ordered Caesar and it was garlicky and the slice of lemon squeezed and top helped to cut through the creaminess. I will keep this in mind whenever I need a quick bite as I work just a few blocks away. read more

Stopped by on Halloween Friday night and they were closing early so we decided to get our food to go. We ordered a Greek salad, the boot pizza, and the boss hog. We were told it would be ready in 20 minutes. We all got a beer and waited. The pizzas came out steaming hot in the boxes. When we got home four of us split the salad. It was very good with a lot of cheese, red pickled onions, artichokes, and fresh greens. The pizzas were great. The boot was more traditional with sausage, caramelized onions, and Gorgonzola with a red sauce. The boss hog was a white pie that had a smoky taste to it with bacon and tomatoes. Very good. I arrived early for a meeting and realized I was hungry. Seeing Mezza Luna across the street offering pizza by the slice I figured... why not? I wasn't disappointed. A slice and a soda we're about $6. It was a hearty slice with a crispy thin crust (my fave) and was topped "popper" style with jalapeños bacon and soft cheese. Along with a mild sauce and regular mozz. It was served piping hot. I will just say, it was delicious. The wait staff were pleasant. I came in just as they were opening and despite being busy they were attentive and friendly. The restaurant itself is clean and inviting. There was classic rock music playing and it felt comfortable. I was pretty hungry so I ate the slice before I considered that I should leave a review so no photos today. read more

This is our favorite pizza in Eugene. Thin crust, crispy, delicious toppings--the closest to a New York slice that we can find. They have a nice lunch special (1 slice and side of salad of your choice) for $9. We tend to frequent the one in Springfield, but they have 2 other places in Eugene. It's consistently good and if you get the Savvy Saver, you can get a $4 off coupon for a large pie. Even though I'm a mom, I'm often heard saying, "Pizza is the perfect food!" I came here one night an hour and a half before closing with a group of 3, and the staff made sure to let us know they were closing soon. Besides that, I enjoyed a half vegan and half meat pizza. I appreciated the vegan option, the cashew cheese was pretty tasty. I loved how many veggies I was allowed on top! (4 free vegetable toppings, pretty generous). I would have liked some marinara sauce, on the pizza (their vegan pizza doesn't include marinara) and plan to ask for it next time if I return. Placed an order to go. I was excited to try some local pizza but I think my expectations were a little too high. It was all presented well and I looked forward to trying everything. However the pizza and half of the garlic knots tasted almost stale or reheated. The other half of the garlic knots were nice and hot and tasted fresh. Seemed like either the pizza was old or the dough was. I'm glad half of the garlic knots were good though. Made me want to go back to another location and try them again. The salad was good too! Not sure if I'll go back to this location but definitely willing to try another one. read more

Okay so. I am not a pizza snob by a long shot but I do enjoy trying more "specialty" pizza restaurants from time to time and Mezza Luna was delicious! I love the fact that the crust on the pizza we ordered (half veg-Italia, half hearty fungus) was thin but not too thin; toppings spread all the way out to the edges with a thin crust handle. Delicious! The only reason this isn't a 5 star is because either they didn't give us the "hearty fungus" or they've edited what's on it, rendering it inedible for me (tons of bell peppers, no feta, tons of garlic cloves instead of a "garlic olive oil base"). It was really disappointing but my fiancé happily ate it and we pulled off some of the toppings from his half so I could eat it (which was still delicious, don't get me wrong). We want to go back and try some of the other vegetarian options (for me) as well as a meat pizza (for him), so maybe on this next time I will ask if they have changed the toppings or make sure that I get the pizza I ordered ;) read more

IDK why this place has issues with making pies without the 'moon dust'. First time coming in about 4 years [due to the service provided when they neglected the request: no moon dust (aka parm)]. I was so glad that I stopped in today for a slice of pizza at this location in Springfield. Unfortunately, I have never been to this location so it makes me extra happy to leave this review because I'll be coming back. I stopped in for a quick slice and I chose the Amelia which had salami, prosciutto, basil and fresh mozzarella. The slice was the size of two pieces of pizza and when I folded it in half you could hear the crunch of a perfectly cooked pie. The crust was divine and I happily finished my plate. Food is decent (I like their calzones), but they seem to be having problems typical of businesses that aren't trying to be competitive lately. Hours are shrinking (their website doesn't even bother to list hours for the Springfield location, Yelp and Google disagree on what the hours are), and if you call too close to closing, you get a generic voicemail greeting followed by "this mailbox is full". I've tried to place an order three times in the last week and it's not worth any further attempts. If you like going to bed while the sun's still up, you might be able to place an order before they close. Or just try another place, Mezza Luna doesn't have anything unique. read more

It's been hard to find a consistently tasty gf crust for me, but I would have to say they are in the top 3 in the Eugene/ Springfield area. Worth the $3 upcharge. The toppings always taste fresh. Yes! A place that is in downtown Springfield where you can get pizza by the slice, even on a Saturday evening! The pizza is was thin crust and just right with crispy-ness. The toppings were delicious, a bit unusual and very flavorful. And for pizza by the slice, there were 5 different flavors to choose from. The place itself, on Main Street, was a bit under-crowded but I felt perfectly safe parking a bit away and walking to it, even as a woman by myself. The service was friendly and the teenager serving me brought me my slice nicely heated up from the oven, with a smile. Just the way I like it. read more

The pizza is usually very good, however today it was particularly soggy and greasy and I couldn't even pick it up. The girl also offered peppers and Parmesan to a lady before me (who tipped her), and I had to ask for them and she seemed annoyed. I just left Mezza Luna on Main Street in Springfield. I am a long time regular customer, and my experience today guarantees I will not return. Today's visit was terrible from a customer service standpoint. The employee taking orders was rude and patronizing. While eating, the same employee cursed with vulgar language (F word, B word, and s#*t on repeated occasions despite being discouraged from fellow employees. I ultimately asked for a box to take my food to go, because I don't want to sit in that environment. Have some respect for your customers, or like me, they won't return. read more
