Excellent service and pizza too. The humans here are so kind, fun and caring. You can taste the love in the food. The employees are helpful and the pizza was hot and freshly made. We called twice because we couldn't find the location, they literally walked us through the directions. Map quest wasn't clear (because it's in an apartment alley way) it's in the Howard College apartments -near the parking lot. When we got there they chatted it up with us while the pizza finished cooking and then served us right away. Very cool place- I felt like I was upon a hidden gem inside the college vibes. I'm 40 but left feeling young again. lol. Thanks for the good vibes and making my 16 years old's day. We got 2 pepperoni and 1 cheese. We had learned that Za Cart was going to be at a local winery during their wine release weekend after we had already swung by and got our release the day before. Knowing we had some errands to run, we purposely planned to swing by the winery again the next day just for the pizza (and of course, some wine again). Best decision ever! I've never been in Oregon before, so this was my first time trying a Food Cart. Got to say, I was very very impressed! The guy that owns this is super sweet and loves having a conversation with you. I'm a huge New York pizza girl and this hit all the marks I was expecting. The crust is crunchy but soft at the same time, the tomato sauce has a hint of sweetness, and I loved it overall. I got a white which was already ready, and although I love mushroom, I know sometimes you only get what's already made. I was going to order pepperoni in that case, but he offered to throw in some mushrooms before heating it. Such great customer service! The sweetest, down to earth service by far! Jeff struck up conversation with me as he heated my vegan slice. Makes you feel right at home coming here. The vegan slice is really good and you can order a pie with half vegan half regular pizza where Jeff will add a safety dough barrier between the two if you have various diets to accommodate. 5 stars for the experience! Such lovely service and quaint location. The pizza was excellent and you can tell a lot of thought a love goes into their home made pizza dough. Me and my boyfriend ordered without realizing it was cash only but the lady there was so kind and just offered to let us pay later. I love Jeff and his cart of delicious pizza. I love how every time I go there, he is always chatting with a customer and he is always genuinely excited to feed people. Crust and sauce are made from scratch. The crust is on the thicker side, with a nice crispy bottom and light fluffy interior. The sauce has a nice roasted tomato quality to it. The cheese is good, topping are a good mix of traditional and creative, and you can get it by the slice or order a whole pie. And getting it topped with sauerkraut is actually really tasty! Everyone I've shown this place to loves the pizza. I recently tried his Detroit style pizza and it was SO good!!! One of the best if not THE BEST sauce I've had, better than even the fanciest pizzerias. I love hoods dough recipe and it's top tier. The owner has one of the best personalities, kind and jolly. Was looking for a NY style pizza place, and according to reviews, this was the place. The reviews raved about the pizza so I finally was able to visit. I ordered 2 slices of extra cheese pizza with soft crust, to go. When so arrived home, I was excited to eat my pizza. Unfortunately, I never got that opportunity. The extra cheese was melted on top of slices of pizza that were previously made and obviously very old since the cheese didn't even blend in with the other cheese on the pizza.
