Yell "o" pizza with olives and light jalapeño.

I really really wanted to like whirled pies more. I've heard good things. The garlic pinwheels were very flavorful. Would definitely recommend. I did feel however the dough wasn't proofed enough. A little undercooked with a burnt bottom. I preferred the bites that were burnt actually. The marinara was under seasoned and had no depth. Very basic, under salted tomato flavor. Went ok with the garlic whirls. I ordered the yell "o" pizza with olives. The dough was flavorless, with a light chew. The center was saggy by the time I got it. I would ask for the pizza cooked well done if I were to order again. Just really was underwhelmed. I am curious about their moonshine sauce and Stromboli. So I will likely order again.

Fun venue! Nice rotating tap list. Quality pizza at a good price. Regularly have local arts performing. Recently I visited while POW wrestling packed the place out and it was a blast! In the past I've been to concerts and spoken word events.

I'm about to say something that could be considered controversial. When it comes to downtown Eugene locations that offer pizza by the slice, I prefer Whirled Pizza. Their pizza tastes fresher, I enjoy their veggie pizza because it's packed with flavor thanks to their pesto sauce. My husband and I split their Artichoke Flower, artichoke dip surrounded by little pizza dough petals for dipping. Just a huge carb bomb but after a few brewskies it's exactly what the body needs. I only ever visit Whirled Pies if they are having an event or show. I have never came here just to eat and chill.

There's a lot to say about Whirled Pies, but lets start with this -- This is my favorite pizza in Eugene. I've only sampled the various vegetarian slices here, but they always make me pause after the first bite and say "wow, that is special". Maybe it's the slightly chewy cheese and the crisp flavorful dough, the aroma of the fresh basil.. I really appreciate the use of seasonal ingredients like zucchini and chantrelle mushrooms. Creative options keep me coming back for more... They also have a great local beer selection that rotates often... it's not just the usual stuff you see everywhere. Besides food, Whirled Pies also serves a venue/event space hosting a lot of local and touring bands, comedians, benefit shows, open-mics....It's a large space with lots of seating throughout the venue. I've been here for various events and always had a great time. They also host free events which cater to the community and help empower kids. Did I mention the giant mural on one of the walls? It's worth checking out. This is a great place to grab a bite before walking over to a show at WOW Hall. Definitely stop in and show some support to this great community asset!

The pizza and salad were both good, but the $6 delivery fee was not mentioned until I received the receipt.

The pizzas and salad we had were top tier. Locally sourced ingredients perfectly prepared. I'll be back to try the rest. You order at the counter and pick up your drinks right away. They were really helpful with our questions since it was our first time. someone is bringing the drinks up to you as soon as you order. Within minutes of choosing a table our freshly prepared salad was already there. A few minutes later our pizzas were delivered. Keep note to maybe let the pizza sit a couple minutes because they are piping hot! Even if you aren't hungry, come here for the beers and craft cocktails. There are a lot of great breweries in Eugene and this is one of them. I took the bartenders suggestion and it was really good. Many options in Eugene and this one should be on your list.

However, the crust was way too thin toward the middle of the pizza to even hold the toppings. It just flopped over. It was maybe a mm thick?? Toward the outer half of the circle, the dough was good consistency and quite delicious. The arugula salad was nice. With some orange slices and lots of cubes of beets, pickled red onions and sunflower seeds. Too much oil in the lemon vinaigrette IMO since it all tasted a bit oily. The beers were excellent. Service good (order at counter and they will bring it to you). Parking in the neighborhood, a bit sketchy.

Because it was a 12 inch...and because of the oven the pizza came out perfectly. It was midmorning, so the place wasn't packed yet, and I needed a bite before I got on the road. I wanted some light pizza in this place made an exceptional sausage pizza with olives and onions called the Brooklyn. I requested fresh basil to be added. Kyle offered me a glass of water while I waited and then told me about their happy hour which goes from 2 to 5 and four of the pizzas are discounted and the beer on top is also reduced in price. Briefly stepped out into the parking lot for a minute and a stranger stopped and offered me a beautiful single rose. It was a lovely surprise and made my crazy morning easier. When I went inside a really delicious hot pizza -- made with the thin crust I like -- was ready for me to take with me. When I open the box the smell was actually so irresistible I ate a slice before I left. Don't forget to check out the Lego display by the door and someone there loves plants and the plants know it bc they are thriving!
