Came across this place while we were visiting Eugene. The lunch special was a great deal ! The Italian stallion pizza was great along with the ceasar salad. Place had a cool old school vibe to it. We stopped in here for a quick bite to eat. We were happy to see they sell by the slice. Unfortunately I didn't get any photos. The restaurant is really large and has a small arcade with pinball machines towards the back. The pizza is really good! We even ran into some locals that stated to come for the pizza but not to hang around the area as there's lots of homeless. The worker stated that he was new and we appreciated that. He even cut my jumbo slice in two for me and let us sample some draft beer before deciding on one. There were lots of gnats around which were irritating. Severely underwhelming, but service was fine. $6 for a slice of bacon and pineapple pizza, couldn't even finish it because it just was not good. $5 for a slice of pepperoni, barely any toppings on it. They are big slices but for the price honestly the value and quality just is not there. Both slices were also super burnt on the bottom (black) not just crispy, especially the pepperoni one. Worst customer service ever just like with the last guy I said. My pregnant wife bought a pizza and I asked the guy if I could use the bathroom when he literally gave me attitude and told me to get the fck out of his lobby and I asked him again because I thought I heard him incorrectly and he told me to get the fck out he had too many pizza orders and couldn't handle it. no I didn't wanna start a scene, but he started one! What pissed me off even more was after I showed him the receipt that I had bought pizza and I wanted my money back. He still told me to get the fck out. I'll definitely be calling the owner and complaining if this guy is still working there I'm gonna file a harassment charge and have my 6 million subscribers on social media know about it and let them deal with it!!! There are a lot of unique places in downtown Eugene, OR and for lunch, I stopped in "Slice Downtown" was greeted by Travis H, requested their lunch special [a slice of pizza, salad and drink]. Travis H recommended the Cesar Salad as they make the dressing in-house, so I said, "Why not? Let's give it a try. We'll let me tell you, the dressing is on point, best Cesar dressing salad, I've had so far and I traveled the work where they make it table side. The setup is a bar with arcade games in the back and self-service bust your own table. Very good idea to keep everyone accountable. Love this place, and I'll be back. read more

I'm really happy to have a new Slice location downtown, but the owners - if you're reading this - HIRE MORE EMPLOYEES! We came here on a weekday night and there was only one cashier/server doing everything for 6/7 groups of customers. They definitely needed more help. The pizza itself though, is great! Our favorites are the brussel sprout and margarita. I love how thinly sliced the tomatoes are on the margarita. The pepperoni is a staple, but nothing special. Definitely try something a little different. The crust of the pizza here is sooo tasty - almost reminds me of an everything bagel. We will be coming back, especially when the bar opens up! read more

Color me highly impressed with Slice downtown. I've popped in a few times at night while out and about. I usually get a margherita slice, which always hits the spot thanks to the fresh basil and crispy crust. I think they put some kind of garlic butter on the crust which gives it that extra oomph, but that''s just a theory... Recently I popped in and wanted something light. The vegan slice covered with olives and Brussels sprouts looked really good. They offer a vegan gluten-free crust as well as a regular. I got a slice of the vegan gluten-free ($6) just to see what it was like. I wasn't expecting much but WOW this slice was delicious! I couldn't really tell it didn't have real cheese, and the GF crust actually tasted pretty good. All in all I was very impressed and would definitely get this again. If they can make a gluten-free vegan slice taste that good, then I think it's safe to say that these folks know what they're doing when it comes to pizza. read more

When I heard that Slice was expanding by moving into the corner formerly housed by Sizzle Pie, I thought it was a perfect fit. Both Slice and Sizzle offered whole or single sliced pizzas with vegetarian and vegan options, but I always felt Slice's pizza was always better. Better tasting and felt fresher. I finally had the chance to get some slices from their new downtown location. I'm surprised by the low reviews! My experience was fine. I notice the bar has not opened yet, hopefully the reviews will be more positive once that happens. I got a margherita and cheese slice to go and both were so very tasty. The cheese slice was ooey gooey with optimal pull, which is how I like it. My only note would be, I wish they had a better system for packaging up the slices to go. Having the pizza wrapped up in foil and served on a paper plate creates a very clumsy situation when walking to the car. But other than that, I am very happy to have Slice at this popular downtown area. read more

I've ordered from Slice about 25 times now over the years. Having lived on the east coast and in Europe I'm a picky pizza eater. Haven't found one I'm crazy about in Eugene, although I do appreciate the very authentic taste of DOP when I want to feel like I'm back in Italy. Midnight Margherita Pizza was very good. Heavy on the garlic so would avoid if that's not up your alley.

first time here and my friend and I were a bit confused how things go and if we ordered up front or sat down. i let the person up front know that we wanted to sit down and she replied with, "okay?? what do you want" Very rude and unprofessional After we were rushed to order the pizza, we sat down and actually grabbed a menu since we were not offered one. I went up to order garlic knots and she walked by and said "did you need something?" She said this with so much attitude and no respect to a paying customer. Had eye surgery earlier in the day and stayed in Eugene since I had a follow up the next day. I ordered a pizza, She-so Chorizo. The crust was chewy, but not doughy. Toppings were absolutely a perfect combination. Appropriate amount of sauce, no excess oils. Outside of Europe, one of the best pizza in the states. The previous place was called "Sizzle Pie" and that wasn't great either. This place has a good variety of different style pizzas, but that isn't my grievance with this new place. While I had jury duty, I needed a place that had quick service. This place provided quick service. However, the quality of the pizza was terrible. Over the 5 days of jury duty, I tried pizza at this location. I ordered two different slices each time. Every single slice was floppy and loaded with grease. So much grease in fact, I would see other customers grabbing napkins to soak up the excess grease. If you're looking for customer service, I would tell you this is not the place. The servers working there seem like you, the paying customer have inconvenienced them by asking to pay for pizza. At one point while waiting for my to-go order, a line of 3 people formed. I noticed what looked to be the new owner stare from behind the bar and not help his new patrons. A few minutes passed, servers behind the bar made no effort to address the newly formed line. Eventually after 4-5 mins someone from the back, what looked to be the cook, took their orders. The atmosphere inside was interesting. Sort of like a retro, early 2000's skateboard vibe and decor. It was interesting seeing all walks of downtown life come in for pizza. As I waited each day for my pizza, plenty of homeless people would come in asking for free pizza. Wow.... This was a very disappointing experience. To start off, the person serving my friend and I was talking to her friends when we came up to the cash register. She saw us and continued to talk to her friends after we were clearly ready to order. One of them asked her what emoji they should use in their text??? After taking our orders, we saw her taking shots and vaping right in front of the customers. We ordered two slices of cheese pizza and we were waiting for over 20 minutes when there were only two other people in the seating area. When my friend got her slice, she dropped it on the ground, and while the employee said she'd get us another one, it took another 20 minutes because she burnt the first replacement slice. We were very polite and cleaned up after ourselves even after the dirty looks we received and the completely unprofessional behavior. Whoever this was- FIRE THEM!!! Pizza was bomb tho. read more
