My fav would have to be the hummus and the bruschetta (extremely fresh and flavorful). The red pepper dip was also good but I prefer the regular hummus. I got the chicken stuffed mango the first time I went, it was good the first few bites but after that it was just too much. Both of my close friends loved the curry chicken pasta, which comes with angel hair. I thought the curry sauce needed a thicker pasta since it was a bit soggy in my opinion. My bf always orders the beef kabob (file mignon) and fattoush which he finishes happily in ten minutes The waitress is very knowledgeable of the menu and gave me great suggestions without me having to ask. What a awesome little place. I came here on a Friday night and they had a small band playing. Very simple and straight to the point type of place. Nothing over the top and just simply GREAT food. Their stuff from the grill was great I had their hen and a kabob dish. Very well seasoned and the staff was attentive. You can't find a thing wrong with this place. When I arrived a little on my date,as soon I walked in the the atmosphere was nice, and quiet. Then a young waitress greeted me with open arms and presume to show me to a table. While waiting on my date to arrive I order the house margarita, which was different, and it included orange juice. It was a bit over powered with OJ, so I decided to request a wine instead. So my arrived date and we began to order our food. The waitress that took our order, came up and remade me my margarita which was so much satisfying then the margaritas before. All I can say is wow!!!!!!!! By far the BEST food I've ever had. Amazing!!! We had a party of 6. In town for super bowl. There was some of us from Miami, Detroit, Arizona, Utah and Texas. We all tried each other's food and could not decide which meal was better than the other!!!!!! The only bad thing was that we're not in Houston longer so that we can come back. Came here with my boyfriend. At first glance, the decor was somewhat dated so we didn't know what to think at first, but we were very happy after dinner. We had the crab cakes and red snapper. So I just spent 7 bucks on a takeout regular size order of hummus (I was told they no longer have the small size and I really had a craving for hummus so I went for it). I got 5 pieces of pit bread and what looks like a 16 oz tub of hummus. I dig in, and its just meh. The hummus is creamy but really no flavor - the best hummus I've had is still at Cafe Mawal in Clear Lake. I come here all the time and it has finally started getting popular! They used to have a pick 3 apps, which should come back so you can get there great tabbouleh, hummus and red pepper! My brother was in town visiting and he decided on Mediterranean, so to Cafe Mezza we went. I'm not sure how this decision was reached, but the Yelp reviews, while mixed, seemed promising. While our waiter was friendly enough (I say that as nicely as possible having been a server), there were many times that our glasses ran dry and some kitchen help member came out to look after our beverages. Did I mention that we were one of three tables? Once our order was placed, I began to keep an eye on the clock. I do this out of habit at restaurants now because I worked so long at one, and even though this seems like somewhere where you are meant to eat slowly and enjoy your night out, I had a feeling it would still be a dreadful wait. The appetizer was okay, but I have certainly had better hummus and tabbouleh. Forty! Minutes! AFTER finishing our appetizer (appetizers can take a while if you're talking), our food was served. All told, from entering the restaurant to being seated to deciding to being served the appetizer to finally receiving our dinner, we sat around for an hour and twenty-five minutes. We were having a delightful conversation so it didn't feel absurdly unusual, but the facts still stand. My dish was a lemon fish concoction, but the lemon tasted like they used some crappy lemon pepper seasoning (you know, that fake citrus-y flavor that leaves an awful aftertaste in your mouth) instead of fresh lemon juice and the entire thing was so salty it was making me slightly nauseous. I powered through without giving off how dissatisfied I was because my brother seemed to thoroughly enjoy his flatbread pizza, and my mother was impressed by her mango chicken. To each their own, but that is why I'm giving it two stars instead of one. All told, I will not be going back here. Houston has much better options and if I have to drive just a little bit further to try them, then that's what I'll do. read more

The celebrant has exquisite taste so we had chosen a nice steakhouse; however, the time did not work for us and we did not realize this until the day before the celebration. The cooks do not wear gloves. I walked and saw cooks did not have gloves and was Touching food with their bare hands. That is a big turn off for me even before COVID-19. Not sure why this place has so many great reviews. The food is ok... Just ok not great! What is a turn off is the cleanliness and etiquette of the staff. The fries and garlic mayo was the only thing I really liked. The owner could make this place great by having the place properly cleaned and training the staff on how to serve and have better etiquette.
