Wow, fantastic food here. Cool spot inside the Post Houston food hub. Seemed to specialize in central Asian / middle eastern food (Uzbek in particular). Had lamb and rice and it was fantastic. Fun to try something that isn't common here. Give it a try!

I stopped at a couple places in the food hall and foreign grill was a nice place to get food from. They had friendly service and good food from a couple different places. I decided to get the pierogis. They were quite good but lacking in flavor compared to some of the foods at the other vendors.

    Sampler Mix Dumplings Plate

More of a 3.5 star. Came in late on a Friday, ordered the dumplings sampler plate and the khachapuri (basically a cheese boat with an egg) to share. The sampler had some crispy empanadas and soft dumplings, all nothing special but the best one was the potato stuffed empanadas. Dumplings were just something I could buy from a store quality. The cheese boat was okay too, fresh bread/bake, but I was not impressed. Nice owner and took about 15 mins for food, definitely still better than some of the options in Post, but I expect better quality for the price.

The perogies are insanely good! We get them hot and ready and frozen to make at home.

They always have a sample of the Golden Bowl for anyone to taste & it's absolutely my go to dish. All the ingredients work well together in this Golden Bowl. The chicken, jollof rice, veggies, the sweet of the plantain with the spice in the curry makes for a delightfully seasoned bowl. I will admit the spice made my nose run but yet I would only describe it as a "subtle" spicy dish. One day I'll try another dish but for now. That golden bowl speaks to me everytime. I had leftovers & even the next day my taste buds got happy all over again! Never had Nigerian West African food or had it somewhere else, try it here, it's delightful!! Don't forget, they have a brick & mortar restaurant in Montrose. I have been... YET!

Takeout order of Golden Bowl (added shrimp along with the chicken) and small Hibiscus tea (40$ish). Packed neatly for your home/office enjoying pleasure. The motherland curry is placed in a separate plastic container and the jollof jambalaya, curry, plantains, chicken & shrimp packed tightly like a little gift. Dish was enough for two meals; super flavorful. I'd definitely like to try them again not on a go.

Upon entry I was greeted with a unique aroma of spices and a bright and clean dining area. At the back of the restaurant on the self-service kiosk, I ordered two dipped and dusted chicken sandwich combos with fries for one order and the desi kimchi for the other along with the mango lassi drinks. The chicken on the sandwich was juicy, flavorful and paired well with the crunch of the lettuce and tanginess of the kimchi; not to mention the soft potato bun. The fries were seasoned well and tasted good with both the delicious and naughty sauces. The mango lassi was also good but interesting with a thick consistency and a pretty sweet flavor. Additionally the staff was friendly and prepared my order accurately. Overall, I had a great experience here, receiving fresh, tasty food at a very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend checking them out!

Fun chicken shop with a strong identity. Pricing and portions are fair. Love the Indian-inspired…read moreflavors and that they stay open late, 10:00p on weekdays and up to 11:00p on weekends. They share the space with Bol, which looks like an Indian food "make-your-own" bowl bar. I didn't try Bol personally but there are lots of options here if visiting with a group. Interior was very modern and clean. Lots of board games stocked. The occasional solicitor poked their head in but the vibes were good overall. Ordered via self-service so I didn't notice the actual human service too much, but it was prompt. I had the Kathi Roll, which was a fried chicken thigh strip rolled up with onions and sauce in a paratha. The chicken and sauce was flavorful, but the paratha was amazing and I wish I could have gotten a side of just the bread! "Delicious Sauce" was very good, mostly tasting like butter chicken sauce. I tried my friend's Balle Balle fries which were super flavorful, and washed it all down with a Mango Lassi. The lassi here is a bit turmeric-forward, which was fine by me, but could be noticeable to people who aren't used to it. I don't tolerate spice well so I was nervous what to expect, but the heat level was very tolerable. My spice-loving friends still found the food flavorful with a good heat level, so I don't think it was because it was too weak. Overall I found this to be a good spot to hang out with some friends over casual but flavorful food. - Ambiance: 4/5 - Food: 4/5 - Service: 5/5
