The food is OK, albeit better for lunch portions. I got the kofta Wrap and salad which was perfect post run! We got a mint tea for the table as well- refreshing for the weather. Patio By La Pasha is my new go-to late night spot! Cauliflower is crispy, acid, and soft all at the same time! Came for a light night dinner. Pita bread is freshly made, warm, and puffy! Pairs extremely well with the baba ganouj. I was craving cauliflower and a meaty texture in one dish. Despite being deep fried, the dish is refreshing thanks to the lemon juice and tahini yogurt. Warak Enab/ Grape leaves are soft and intoxicating. Paired with the garlic sauce is a match made in heaven! The rice is perfectly seasoned and the grape leaves are definitely picked in season. Chicken wings, half honey bbq half lemon pepper were also delicious. The batter is preseasoned and has the crunch and texture of popeye's chicken the way you imagine it in your head. It's deeply floured. Even dipping it in the garlic sauce elevates the flavor to extravagant levels. I really liked how crispy the fries were as well, and the spread sampler was to die for. My friend didn't love the cook on her chicken as she said it was a little hard, but my dish was really yummy. This is the first hookah place I've gone to in Houston and it has not disappointed. The hookah was amazing. The staff kept coming to replenish the coals and to clean the head if it got too ashy. Food portions here were SOLID!! My biggest complaint with Mediterranean Al-a-carte are that the portions are (especially for the meat) so small. We stepped away to use the restroom, and when we returned, one of our hookahs was missing. It was gone for 30 minutes, and it took a while for them to bring it back. This was an inconvenience caused by the lounge, not us, and there was no reason our hookah should have been removed in the first place. What made it worse was that the manager offered absolutely no compensation or accommodation. As returning customers celebrating a birthday, we expected better customer service. After hanging out the whole day, my friends were starving and decided to try a chance at finding a table at Patio by La Pasha. To our joy, we were able to get a table quickly and outdoors on the second patio which is just as great as the first. I highly recommend sitting outside if you want to reduce the amount of hookah you breathe in from nearby tables. The food is always amazing here, this time we opted for the hummus platter and the Eggplant Fatteh. I wish the eggplant was a bit more cooked but never the less tasted great. I'm not going to judge too harshly on the fried chicken because I realize it's a Mediterranean spot. The service was horrible. I don't know what the problem was but the waiter was so distant and awkward whenever he decided to communicate. I can give details but I'm not going to bore you with all of them. I'll just say after the food came out, there was no more communication from him. He never asked if we wanted water, more lemonade, hookah.... I was seated at my table for about 10 minutes and no one ever came up to ask me my order however the waitress did come up and greet a table full of middle eastern men who were seated after me and had ~1 minute wait time. Such a treasure!! To start off the night valet was 5.00 and 10.00 for VIP parking which is rarely heard of in this Houston party climate. Parking was effortless and quick. I was seated quickly outside but as it became hotter, I opted for a seat inside. It was quite a healthy portion good enough for three people however, my little party of two devoured it all. I ordered the Kafta Kebabs a la cart. They were seasoned to perfection and were just what I was craving. It paired well with the garlic sauce. My husband ordered the Mix Grill of three meats which came with two sides. He added the fattoush and French fries. He said the steak was tough and seeing him use a butter knife, you could tell he needed a steak knife instead. It was very chewy and he would not recommend it. The chicken was flavorful but tore into pieces when he cut it. The fattoush was delicious. The French fries were ok. For him, this wasn't the greatest of food choices. For dessert I ordered the Turkish coffee and my husband a cappuccino along with a Kunafa. I gave up carbs for the time being so didn't get to try it. I really wanted to fall in love with this place especially since a similar spot I loved literally went up in flames RIP to my old fave but for now I'm giving it 3 stars So here's how it went I asked to sit inside because the heat outside had me feeling like a rotisserie chicken They led us to a back room that looked like a bridal shower had just wrapped up and then forgot about us for over 15 minutes I had to go on a little mission to track down a waiter and asked to be moved outside Nonetheless the decor is beautifully done! I love the green garden look! Once we got settled outside things picked up The waiter was super nice but didn't really know the menu which made ordering a little tricky When the food came out it was lukewarm at best The chicken was on the dry side and the rice needed a little personality The saving grace was my drink Fruity flavorful and honestly the highlight of the meal My daughters enjoyed their pizza so at least the kids were happy I didn't get to try the hookah since I had my minis with me but it looked like everyone else was having a blast with it I do want to give this place another try maybe next time I'll come back without the little ones and with lower expectations for the chicken lol knowing me I'll try and order it again just to see if what I experienced the first time was indeed correct. I also tried the Baklava dessert, vanilla ice cream rolls and Dubai strawberry chocolate. Everything was really good. The Baklava and vanilla ice cream rolls were big enough to share. The service was good. Staff were friendly. The place was nice, and clean. Hookah were also very nice. I would definitely recommend going here for a chill mid-day brunch or even later in the evening. No bar, but wait there is hookah 4th - I would not come here for groups service was off and confused. Managers are not angering rather just sitting back and smoking hookah. No interaction with guests. That says a lot. When it comes to group order be prepared for chaos. My waitress kept trying to give me a plate that I did not order and which costs more multiple times. She had no clue what was going on. Not only was I the only person to not get their food out of my group. I finally got annoyed and just cancelled my order and ask for check of sprite. Which then manager talked an additional 5 min to said waitress and never bothered to come talk to me. I eventually had to walk up to him and ask for my check...which he proceeded to argue with me. Came in on Saturday with two friends. They don't accept reservations but have plenty of seating inside and outside which is great. They have valet parking for $5/$10 depending on where you want them to park your car. The outdoor patio is super spacious and pretty. Our waiter was very busy but was still very sweet and attentive. We started off with the Garlic Labneh and Batata Harrah, both were delicious. The labneh was garlicky and creamy and the potatoes were spicy and well seasoned. My friends both ordered the shish kebabs and I had the shish kebab wrap, the beef was delicious and perfectly cooked and the Macedonian salad I had on the side was fresh and delicious. Our meals were very good. We also ordered a hookah, my friend picked the Paris Love blend, I'm not a big fan of berry blends for hookah but for was it was, it was good. I went last Friday and unfortunately, they caught on about parking in the park/field but thankfully there were plenty of space for parking on the street (I went on a Friday night and there were no issues finding a spot). Another thing to note is that they don't allow outside drinks (including water) so just be aware. I'm not sure if the menu changed but I included the updated one in the review, The portions were large as always and tasted just as good as the last time. The only complaint I have is that I wish the beef was a little more tender- it was pretty hard to cut through the meat. But other than that, I enjoyed my dish and my friend loved her Basil Berry Smah mocktail and her Falafel wrap. As for hookah, we ordered the Moscow Mint and we loved the flavor! At first I was worried about sitting outside since Houston summers are brutal but La Pasha does a really great job with their misted fans. Don't get me wrong, it's still a little warm but it's not nearly as bad as I thought it'd be. Then it was noticed that an automatic 15% gratuity is added... not exactly an incentive for good service. I visited here last night, and while the food and environment were nice, my experience was completely ruined by their valet service. As shown in the attached photo, my rear wheel now has visible curb rash after using their valet service. The second photo shows my front wheel, which remains in pristine condition. I drive carefully and maintain my car with great care. This vehicle was picked up from the dealership last month, and all four wheels were spotless before this visit. Unfortunately, if your car isn't worth over $200K, I doubt they don't give a. Until they take responsibility for customer vehicles, I cannot recommend this place to anyone who values their car. I've been to LaPasha several times! The food, great service and ambiance is always consistent :) My favorite meal to get is the lamb chops with fries or rice. The lamb chops are seasoned sooo well! I wish I could recreate but I'm sure I don't have half of the special spices in my pantry. I've also tried the tropical kiwi drink which is so freaking and naturally sweet. I love to end my meal with Halva dessert cake and some yummy hot tea with honey (usually the Iraqi tea which has a distinct yet soothing cardamom aroma) or even the Turkish coffee. This location and the patio are the perfect late afternoon/evening spot to just wind down and relax. read more
