Better late than never! So this visit was me, my bf, and his parents in honor of my boyfriend's birthday in 2025. The exterior is really nice and new, as is the interior! More on that in a bit... We had a reservation that we made weeks in advance but still had a wait. Rocky River Tap and Table were definitely understaffed and it took forever to get waited on and then we waited nearly 30 minutes to put in our food order. Our waitress was Amy and she tried but she definitely had too many tables. Once we got our drink and food orders, I sipped on a cider from Round Barn in Michigan (refreshing!) and I ordered a $21 bison burger with sweet potato fries (tasty!). I always get sweet potato fries whenever they are an option and this was a very generous portion. We had cheese biscuits to share and all 4 of us were addicted to them. The biscuits were so unique! My bf got a free birthday dessert of a carmel brownie dessert that was diverse in flavors and a crispy salted crispy-ness on the bottom 9/10. He, of course, shared his dessert because he's a very lovely and well-trained guy! Haha! So we enjoyed the food and the drinks but were not inpressed with the service. How about the decor and ambiance? Well, Rocky River recently underwent a renovation and it looks spectacular! The interior was white with moss on the walls and poinsettas everywhere as it was the holiday season of 2025. It is perfect for classy Instagram-worthy photos. I didn't pay for our dinner but I found that the prices were decent for the most part. I'd come back on a slower day. Where else can I get a bison burger with sweet potato fries for only $21 in Michiana?

As first-time diners, we had a delightful experience overall. The chicken and waffles were a standout - truly delicious! My husband, however, found the steak in his breakfast bowl to be unexpectedly sweet, which detracted from his enjoyment. He did, however, appreciate the quality of the eggs, hashbrowns, and accompanying sauce. These items were cooked perfectly and complemented each other beautifully. We were particularly impressed by the exceptional service provided by our waitress; her attentiveness and friendly demeanor added significantly to the positive atmosphere. She was rude beyond reason and acting so self important it makes me not want to go back. That said, this is Nicks Patio, an institution. I'll try it once more, but with caution. Though they are under new management the food and serving staff are still solid. Mimi took care of me and she couldn't have been better. Sitting through the loud language and awkward management style was too much.
