The chicken nachos were a 6.5/10 the chicken was seasoned well but the distribution of toppings was a bit sparse. The calamari was 7/10 they were a little spicy but they were fried perfectly and the sauce was a sweet Thai. The chicken quesadilla was a 6/10 a little too much cheese The effen cucumber martini was a 7/10 it was tasty and not too overpowering The hot honey bacon flatbread was a 8.5/10 it was very delicious. My friend and I came out tonight because we were craving truffle fries. We ordered a few cocktails to start (pictured) and split the steak frites. After dinner, I wanted a red sangria. The drink prices are not listed on the menu, so I asked for the price of the sangria. Our waitress checked her pad and told us they were $4.79 each. I asked about a pitcher price as well. We decided on glasses of sangria because they were so cheap. When the bill came, I was charged $30 for two sangrias. I asked the waitress, and she said, "Oh, I meant $14.79." We asked if she could change the price to what she quoted us, and she said she needed to ask her manager. After a bit of back and forth, she came back and told us her manage wouldn't change the price. It was a $20 difference. We asked to speak to him. He came to our table and was extremely rude. We explained the situation, and his response was, "All our cocktails are $14.79, I'm not sure why you'd think this one was so much cheaper." Again, their drink prices aren't listed on the menu and we asked before we ordered. He kept saying he wouldn't change the price and that he'd asked his waitress (and she'd said she told us the correct price). When we asked if he'd do the right thing and honor the quoted price since we wouldn't have ordered multiple sangrias had we known the real price, he rudely stated he wouldn't. Eventually he took one of the drinks off our bill after expressing our frustration with their lack of hospitality, but he was extremely rude about it. His name is Dom. We stopped at bar Louie on NYE for drinks. It was pretty busy with a lot of people drinking, eating, and having fun. There was a wide variety of people, including couples, people going out, and families. My husband and I just ordered drinks, and they were great. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive, despite it being busy & NYE. We were looking at the food next to us at the other tables and it looked so yummy. I definitely want to go back and order the steak, one of their favorites on the menu. The bar itself was super nice and clean. It is definitely boujee and classy. I liked the big windows. Love this restaurant and it's decor. Great place to grab some food, drinks and able to watch some games on their big screens. We stopped by to catch some MNF, grabbing some drinks and some dinner. We were kinda in a pinch on time, and the service we were provided was quick and prompt. We started with fried pickles. They weee great, with a good dip, that had a little kick. The BLT salad was awesome. Full of flavor and simply delicious, worth getting again. The chicken nachos were good too, but would have liked a little more chicken. The kids got hamburger sliders, and they got two thumbs up. The boneless chicken with jalapeño dipping sauce wasn't so well received. The cocktails were great, and nice to see Gumballhead, by Three Floyd's was on tap. It wasn't on the menu, but our server let us know. We are definitely fans of Three Floyd's! Well buckle up. I haven't been here since it was at the Mall and I have nice memories of it there. We ended up here today because our first choice was closed for Labor Day. The restaurant is nice and our server was very friendly and attentive. That's where if ends. The prices were super pricey! Now I am not completely opposed to pricey if I get food worth the price. I settled for the Rueben sandwich for $17.00 because I wasn't paying $16.00 for 3 sliders. Fish and chips were $25.00. My husband got the grilled chicken club also for $17.00. Picture a loaf of bread from the grocery store. That is what size the bread was for my Rueben. It was Marbled rye. It was not piled high. Infact when it came the halves were stacked on top of each other I think to make it look like there was more than there was. And to top that off my fries came in a small, square metal basket. Like a small handful (of a child's hand) was it good? It was tasty but it was difficult to enjoy it knowing what I paid for it. My husband's club was no different. It was on a standard hamburger bun and the same amount of fries. The conversation about the food wasn't "well it was pricey but delicious!" Let me tell ya. We met friends here for lunch on a Sunday. Our friends arrived first, about 10 minutes before us. It was another 10 minutes before the server came over and took all of our drink orders. She couldn't get that correct. I asked for water with lemon. She brought a Diet Coke with lemon. She corrected the mistake. She took our appetizer order and it arrived in a reasonable time. The server came back by, around 10 minutes after receiving our appetizers, and took our food order. When the food arrived it seemed like everything was good. Except mine. I asked for the chicken tenders. Maybe it's my fault. I just assumed that she would know that I was ordering the ENTREE not the APPETIZER! after all, we just ordered and ate our appetizers! I asked her where my fries were. She said that fries aren't included but it is cheaper to buy a side of fries (no, no it isn't). I'm sure the look I gave her was not a nice look! She asked if I wanted to order fries. I said what I ordered came with fries then I told her nevermind. The chicken tenders were not good. No flavor and over cooked. Good chance we will not return. My mother and father in law love coming here and having dinner at least once a week. This past week my mother in law was taken to the hospital, and it would be over their 63rd wedding anniversary. They were so disappointed to not be able to celebrate. She is on a very restricted renal diet, and after consulting the medical staff at st josephs we found some acceptable options. Rob and the staff worked within the guidelines and made a to go order of steak, asparagus and side salads and decadent chocolate cake for take out. We've dined in and have ordered takeout on a couple of occasions. For dining in, we went on their day where they had their burger specials so that was very tasty! We enjoyed the gyoza and beer battered pretzels along with a bunch of hand crafted cocktails. Our server was very pleasant. She checked on us frequently. For takeout, we've done burgers which were good even though it was takeout! The second takeout experience left a lot to be desired. We showed up at the quoted time and though the voodoo pasta was good, some other food items weren't. The pasta came with 4 pieces of juicy shrimp and like 6 pieces of sausage. Our flatbread pizza was cold unfortunately- they should have made that last...seems they made it first so it just sat until our pasta was done. I wouldn't order it again, it was SO THIN. The wings were decent (boneless) but really nothing special. Overall, I think eating in or ordering burgers and showing up earlier than quoted will be your best bet! read more

EDIT: Had to come back and edit this review to say management quickly reached out to me, assuring me the issue had been brought up with staff and made things right. I really appreciate that management didn't shrug this off! I've frequented this place for years and always loved the great food and drinks -- but I've noticed it going downhill lately and tonight was the last straw. I work second shift. My coworkers and I would come here often after work for a round and some food. Despite it saying online that they're open until 3 a.m., they usually do last call and turn on the lights around 1 a.m. No problem, we pay the tab and go. Tonight they did last call at 12:30. The bartender then denied us a round 10 minutes before that last call (we had only been there an hour and had one round). Server was very apologetic and nice about the situation, despite not being able to do anything about it. Just a shame, as it's a bit too expensive of a restaurant for this kind of service. Not really anything to get excited about. A burger. The service was jumbled. Our server took our order and that's the last we saw of her for the visit. Food was delivered by kitchen staff. For the bill our server was back. The ambience is fun. Open industrial design . It can get loud, that is to be expected. In the past anyone served drinks has been satisfied. Oh how I love Bar Louie! I was sad when we lost the one in Greenwood but I took full advantage of this location while in town in business. First impression is WOW, there is three floors where you can enjoy dining or rent out the upper floors for an event. We were on the ground floor of course and we had an amazing waitress. She was so kind and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our dining experience. We started off with their fried pickles with jalapeno ranch dipping sauce that is a perfect combination for a great appetizer. We decided on a burger and fries that night and a chicken quesadilla. Both did not disappoint in any way. The burger was cooked perfectly and the fries come out in a cute little fryer basket. The quesadilla was packed full of their filling and the chipotle sauce gave it a nice kick. Even when a large group came in our waitress still made sure we had a great dining experience. And the next day we came back to get another order of their fried pickles to go. Yeah they are that good!!! It is located close to the hotel we were staying at so that was a big plus. So if you are in the area or live in the area and are looking for a nice place to have a meal I highly recommend you stop by Bar Louie's and try one of their amazing meals they have to offer. Consistently good. This is how I'll describe this place. I've eaten Bar Louie in multiple states and it's always both great in taste and portion. I ordered the wedge salad with salmon, and it was huge, I couldn't even finish it. The salad was topped with blue cheese, pickled onions, tomato, bacon, and banana peppers with a house ranch. I opted to add salmon, and it was cooked perfectly and a great addition. Absolutely delicious. This salad ate like a huge meal. read more

The whole experience today was horrible. Host seemed like he had better things to do than seat us, waitress took more than 5 mins to acknowledge us without it being busy, music was so loud the waitress couldn't hear our orders, tap list was less than impressive, we had dirty sharing plates and had to send back(waitress didn't even say anything about it) food was decent but the icing on the cake for the experience was when the waitress took the tip as my partner signed the check. She reached over him to get it. Maybe the waitstaff needs some training and manners involving when to get the tip from the table? As promised; this is an edited review because the $100 a server stole for me was refunded(she modified my card receipt) use extreme caution when eating at bar Louie check your bank statements and make sure servers aren't taking extra tips. That being said; I actually do thoroughly enjoy this restaurant and they're late hours! And my favorite drink is there strawberry lemonade, made with fresh strawberries not syrup. They are several different tasty burgers that can be ordered with an entire egg. The management was very great at working with me on resolving the issue and I'm sure it's a random one, but beware. Oh and did I mention they how, I wanted it cooked... to perfection! (+Medium rare love seeing the pink) Also tried the shrimp tempura as an appetizer it came with three different sauces. All complimenting the tempura. The waitress was very pleasant, and was on top of her game. Bar was full, everyone seemed happy and content. The only reason I give two stars instead of "0" is that the food was good-cold but good. Last Sunday four of us stopped in for late lunch.. From the start I knew we were going to have issues as we sat for 10 min before waitress took drink order. Opened with " I'm sorry but we are swamped". I heard that at least 5 times! "I'm sorry your bloody Mary's made wrong" I'm sorry your food is cold. "Im sorry you had to ask 3 people for silverware " .
