First of all, I gotta say the ambiance is really nice. There's a kind of industrial look to the place, but it still feels neat and clean. Secondly, I see several service, people walking around cleaning the tables and attending to the guests. The person who attended to my needs, Ashley, was really nice and took the time to help me find the right meal. 5 stars for this lovely person!! And it was good. It wasn't mind blowingly great, but it was fresh and healthy if a bit bland. On its way to really good... Portions are just right, 2 meals if you eat like me. Come see. It's tasty! read more

I left Uptown Kitchen completely unimpressed. For brunch, I ordered a classic bagel and Nova lox, which turned out to be entirely tasteless. The cold-smoked salmon had zero flavor, the cream cheese lacked any seasoning, and the bagel itself was incredibly dense and bland. To make matters worse, the price point is exceptionally steep for such a mediocre experience. Paying a premium for food that turns out to be this boring and flat is deeply frustrating. Save your money and skip this one; you can find far better value and flavor elsewhere. read more

The Avocado Toast and Healthy Hash were delicious! I would have never thought to pair strawberries with an over-easy egg dish, but it works well with all of the other ingredients such as the advertised chili-rubbed kale. To me it appeared that the chili pepper condiment may have been added separately vs massaging the kale with it but it was all very tasty. I cannot comment on the Healthy Hash other than to say my husband didn't leave a morsel behind. Our waitress was friendly and attentive but service was a tad slow but we were not in a hurry. The ambiance is modern and uplifting and always a favorite or ours when we're in Granger/Mishawaka. We'll be back! read more

Hands down some of the best gluten free pancakes I've ever had! I ordered GF pancakes with blueberries in them and a side of chicken sausage... along with a cup of decaf coffee. They brought me real half and half for my coffee and had raw sugar for me as well. The pancakes and sausage were so good. I'm always on the hunt for gluten free breakfast items like those. So good! Sever did well also. She gave me space to eat and work but also made sure I had coffee in my mug. I'll be back! read more

I stuggled between three and four stars for this restaurant. I wanted so badly to love this place, but it just didn't. Ambience: Trendy weekend brunch, a little more "light lunch after golf" atmosphere than I expected. The decor is very rustic meets Cosmo, I enjoyed the cake/vase island in the middle of the restaurant. Staff: We had a gentleman that was very rushed unfortunately. It seemed like he was helping to fold napkins in the back (our view was the kitchen area) and other tasks while we had almost 45 minutes between drinks and brunch. We looked around and saw lots of other staff stopping and checking on tables etc, but we did not. The older man who brought out our meal finally asked if we needed anything. Yes, we had drinks with no straws or silverware. Food: Older Daughters Caesar salad she said was good! Looked delicious I had stuffed french toast, cream cheese was delicious, banana compote was just banana lol Kids had a pancake, it was a pancake. Overall: I have been in restaurants all over the world, and this one of the highest in pricing and lowest in overall restaurant atmosphere, service and food. In all fairness, it was a busy ND game weekend. The restaurant was busy but not completely full and no one was waiting to be seated. I am hoping this was just a fluke visit. I am going to try this restaurant again at a less busy time with just a girlfriend to hopefully see what others like about this place! read more

Had breakfast at Uptown Kitchen and, while the food was good, we were overcharged. One of the items ordered was Stuffed French Toast which is supposed to include two items. We requested fresh blueberries & Stawberries but served on the side and didn't realize until later that we were charged $1.50 for each on our bill despite these being included in the $13 cost of the Stuffed French Toast. read more

When I came in no one was upfront to greet me. I waited several minutes before the hostess came and she said "sorry bout that I was talking to someone I haven't seen for awhile". She wanted to seat me in the bar, it was breakfast and the restaurant was not even close to being full We got seated at a table that was dripping wet and my arms stuck to the table. The menus were covered in coffee stains, they are laminated so could be wiped down Our server was very nice and attentive The food was just okay. The potatoes were dried out and not seasoned at all. Update September 16,2023: I have had a few meals here in the past under the old management. They were great and that is why I keep coming back to this restaurant. This restaurant is now owned by a corporate company. They remodeled the interior to have a non- persona generic look. Miss the artistic theme that was there before. They also moved the bar( big mistake) in the other room in the back. When you walk in you do not even see it. Always and always you make the BAR visible when you first enter the restaurant. Who designed this anyway??????? Oh I know more room for tables , ok . But is does not make it right. This restaurant had a distinctive personality and comfortable feeling. Now stark, corporate signature and no personality. I had 2 eggs scrambled, bacon, potatoes and sourdough toast. I should have taken a picture but I drove from Chicago and I was starving. The eggs were a little flat compared to what they were before ( nice and fluffy ) everything else was good. The service at the bar was absolutely great , right on the spot . I would have deducted a star from the ratings. But the bar service was outstanding. I will continue to patronize this establishment when I come to South Bend. I miss that chandler. Stopped in around 10:30am on a Sunday. Waited five minutes for a table. Plenty of delish options on the menu. We tried the Red Velvet Waffle, Chilaquiles Scramble, and a two egg, potatoes and ham platter. Everyone raved about how delicious their food was. Not the cheapest, prices, but the serving sizes were inline with the price point. And I'm always willing to pay a tad more for good, delicious grub. Our service was on point, as we were well tended to throughout our visit. Don't question it, stop in for delicious eats, you'll be glad you did. read more

When we arrived we were greeted with a smile and taken straight to our table. They serve breakfast and lunch all day which is one reason we chose this place. Within minutes our waitress came to the table and gave me water to start. The menu looked very appetizing which made it very difficult to decide on what to order. I was very pleased with how fast the food came out and how it tasted. The restaurant is very open with high ceilings and there is a separate section that could be closed off for a private party. I just have to start by saying how amazing the food is. I'm not the biggest fan of bland pub style foods, and this place has quite a variety with unique dishes in the area. Definitely has something for everyone, if you're adventurous or not. My aunt and I were having a hard time making a decision because everything sounded so good. We went for breakfast and I ended up getting the breakfast burrito with chorizo, jalapeños, etc. It was mighty delicious, I was very satisfied with how they made the chorizo just right! Our server was very kind and helpful, and it was a very relaxed vibe with the dimmer lighting, and the simple, yet artistic interior. None of us were able to finish our grub, so I'd say the portions were worth the pennies.
