Caffe Capriccio is a favorite bakery/café of my boyfriend's family friends and wanted me to try it before my Labor Day visit was over. Located next to Brasserie 23 and some nice apartments, the exterior of this café immediately gave off European café vibes. Inside, we were greeted by the staff and looked at the menu for a bit before ordering. About 5 minutes after ordering, we received our drinks and food from a few kind, fast, and professional baristas. There is free wifi and the two unisex bathrooms are clean. There is also a lot of places to sit and we saw a few students working on homework while sipping on their matcha lattes. The prices for everything is overall decent but still a little high. Bakery goods are priced well while the drinks are maybe a dollar too expensive. They only use locally sourced whole milk in their drinks as well, just an FYI. All around the cafe are various things for sale, like local coffee beans, glass jars of that whole milk, and yummy loaves of sourdough and foccacia bread. I am from out of town so I didn't buy any bread or milk but I wish I could have! As for the food, everything was indulgent and delicious! We ordered a lot. I got a cinnamon churro latte with GORGEOUS sky design art. The taste was pretty basic - Like a cinnamon hot chocolate. Very milk forward. My bf got a chai latte. This had strong flavor. I should get a different drink next time as I only like to pay $7 for drinks that are unique! My bad! So after we each had an indulgent caffeine drink, we then had a breakfast sandwich. I got the turkey/bacon and my bf got the sausage one. Bacon was good and slightly fatty and the bun/brioche bread was really poofy! After an hour or so of conversation with my bf's family and friends, we then shared an almond fragipange cookie (thiccc and moist) and a blueberry coffee cake slice. Both were great! We had the coffee cake at his home and enjoyed the cookie at the cafe.The cookie was just like the cookies from the famous Levain cookie chain. These are the kind of cookies you can only have infrequently because they are so high calories, but boy, they are delish! I already followed Caffe Capriccio on Instagram so I can keep track of limited time drinks and desserts! I'll be moving to this area next year to be with my boyfriend and am happy to say that we will definitely be back! read more

Such a cute cafe!! We went on Valentine's Day and all the staff were wearing pink wigs which was fun! We really enjoyed visiting here. We went with a party of 5 and there is only one table that fit us but luckily it was open. I would suggest going early because they sell out fast. It was very busy when we went but it was worth it. I really liked the Ube cookie and the sandwich I got. They warmed the sandwich but not the cookie (I also didn't ask them to). The Ube cookie had coconut in it and I'm not a coconut lover but it was subtle enough that I like it!! Coffee was great too! read more

The chocolate blueberry latte was delightful. I paired it with the sausage breakfast sandwich. Cute indoor seating. Fun and helpful baristas. I wanted to try all the sweets but restrained myself. Soothing instrumental music. Not a place for long term work. No outlets and the seating is NOT conducive for long periods. But a nice quiet place for lunch before returning to the office. read more

Another perfect trip to this little slice of heaven cafe! This was a busy Saturday morning, and as this cafe never fails to do....had our delicious lattes and food ready in about 15 minutes despite the crowd! I opted for a seasonal latte, I believe was churro and added almond milk- oh that was deliciously cinnamon! My dear friend went for a white chocolate concoction, which the name has been forgotten (forgive me!). She said it was just divine with the decent chocolate and espresso marrying into a delight! Our bakery choices included a wonderful baked apple muffin and pumpkin cream cheese cookie. The muffin was moist soft and lovely! The baked apple slices are delicious inside! The pumpkin cookie was so-so, we Loved the cookie itself- did not care for the hard cream cheese bits inside of the cookie. It was not suttle and was actually hard to chew. Perhaps a tweak would make this cookie a showstopper! Pain au chocolat is always good! My daughter orders it without fail everytime because of the crispy outside and decent chocolate inside. I love the decor of the location, and it has seating inside and outside. The pastries are high end and the service is great. It is worth my 45 minute drive. Especially when they have Ube cookies. You can get. Whole meal with a sandwich or just do a coffee and a pastry. You can't go wrong. Make sure you try those Ube cookies before they sell out. Out of towner in for a hockey tourney. Glad we stopped in here, it was within walking distance from the hotel we are at (Hampton Inn). A lot of available parking as it looks like it's located in a plaza with other businesses and housing. Inside has enough space if you want to sit and enjoy a breakfast and the service was fast enough to just order and go. We sat and enjoyed it. I got a cappuccino. Excellent to see a place finally do it right! My wife got a latte with a pikachu in the foam, much to the enjoyment of my 9 year old son. The croissant we shared was great. Fluffy and loaded with chocolate. We are only in town for a few days but I hope to stop in again. Highly recommend! read more

A step up from Starbucks with Italian centric menu and run by a local family. Very busy even though it is not easy to stumble upon. Pricing seems to be average to high but nothing to complain about. Nice place to make your regular instead of the chains. read more

The pastries were excellent!!! I ordered butter croissant(for me),, cannolli(for my husband), Elvis cookies, and nutter butter cookies(for my nephews) and all were AMAZING!!! The croissant was buttery, flaky, and perfect, my husband adored the cannolli, he said the filling was a rich heavy whipped vanilla cream and the pastry was crunchy and delicious. Later that same evening my nephews sent me texts that the cookies were the best they'd ever had!!! I also loved the friendliness of the staff as well as the location. Walking in, I felt like I was entering a quaint European style cafe, the display of different foods looked delectable, and was greeted with smiles and a warm atmosphere. I am planning on coming back and bringing friends on a weekend morning for brunch sometime soon for a happy little escape from the hustle of regular life. What an amazing find! I went there for the first time last week and was blown away. The espresso drinks are truly artisan, and the pastries made me think I was in Europe not Granger, Indiana. I haven't come across a coffee shop like this anywhere in the South Bend area or anywhere near Kalamazoo, Michigan. The high ceilings and metal tables made it pretty loud in terms of ambience, but the food and beverage was so fabulous I didn't even care about the noise. I can't wait to go back! read more
