I cannot recommend this place enough. My child and I happened on this place because she loves filet mignon and they did not disappoint. It was cooked perfectly, accompanied by the chimichurri she requested. I had a steakhouse bacon cheeseburger that was also amazing. Everything tasted so fresh! Our server, Sierra, was the best. She is so friendly and helpful. She took good care of us by making sure our drinks were always refilled and that we had everything we needed, as well as making great recommendations. The restaurant also has a great vibe. We felt very comfortable there. At the end Sierra gave my kiddo tiny little ducks and a little pig. My baby was SO happy!!! Such a bummer! I had been wanting to try this restaurant for years. We love Jesus Grill and Evil Czech and love... First.. service.. wonderful! Our waiter was great! Now for the food... we were so excited for the steak fondue... three small cast iron pots, less than a 1/4 cup of fondue the same amt of meat and mushrooms and a mound of toasted bread cubes... this was tasty, but for $18 those crocks should have been filled three quarters full! For dinner I ordered 1/2 of the arugula salad with chicken. I could not eat the salad as it was drenched in dressing, almost like it it been dressed earlier and lest to wilt.. chicken was over seasoned and quite dry. The burger... COVERED in two sauces... they don't described it as a smothered burger... such a shame bc the flavors were there. Corndance Tavern was highly recommended by both friends and colleagues as one of the best restaurants in the Mishawaka area. It was quite a pleasant experience to dine here. The service is exceptional and the food is delicious. We loved the potato skins which were unique in that they were more like tempura than traditional potato skins. The Brussels had a ton of flavor as did the steaks and salads. The highlight was probably the Sword of John Adams. It's basically a giant kabob with grilled meats (steak, lamb & chicken) and vegetables. It reminded me of something I imagine you'd see at Medieval Times but much more tastefully done. The Pumpkin Spice Gelato and Crème Brûlée were a nice way to finish our dinner. A bit unexpected that they also offer sushi. We did not try it this time but based on our first experience, would feel confident to try it next time since everything was SO good. read more

The service was outstanding. The drinks were good. The food was only ok. We have had the dry aged steak on numerous occasions and are usually very happy with it. This time the steak (65 day dry aged) was just ok. A $90.00 steak should be outstanding. Very disappointed in our visit. read more

We were here in Mishawaka, IN for my oldest son's birthday celebration. Hunter was our waiter and he was excellent. Well informed. Pleasant and a GREAT server. Knows his stuff very well. He was a complete JOY! My 9 year old granddaughter and I (64 yrs old) got the same thing. The Atlantic Salmon. Oh my goodness the salmon was EVERYTHING (Farm Raised I do believe) and it's a good thing since it truly is the star of the show. She ate all of the salmon. She didn't like the rice and left most of everything else. The rice came in a corn husk and was a bit sticky but it was delicious with all of the other compliments. For me everything was great...except...the charred brocollini. Charred but not tender...there's a fine line and well....it did not make the cut. It was borderline awful. Very tough...chewy...chewy...and chewy some more. Not enjoyable at all. A huge disappointment. Everything else though? Top Notch. Birthday dinner for my wife. Corndance is a little pricey but it is an experience. Justin our waiter did a great job of making it a good experience. Ambiance was quiet and warm and intimate. We came in early before 6pm and it was great. The food was really good. Wife loved her filet and the mushroom and onion topper was great. My ribeye was pretty good, but not great. I've been going to Corndance for years and have never had any issues. BUT...I made a reservation for last night for my daughter and her friends for Prom. They were treated very poorly. 1) My daughter was told she couldn't get sushi because the group was too large (she was the only person ordering it) 2) They asked for bread and were told that they charge for it now since "that's what rich people do". Not even sure what that means? 3) Finally, the waitress answered a question with "if you don't like it, there's a Chili's next door". Overall, pretty repulsive treatment of anyone, let alone people attending Prom. I'm not sure what is going on there, but I won't be finding out. read more

What a great YELP find!! Traveling through the area and this "tavern" intrigued us. We weren't sure upon entering if it was a fancy steakhouse or more casual. Looking around it's more relaxed than a stuffy high end place. The food is unique and tasty. We split a "sword of John Adams" and got an extra side of etole (Mexican street corn). VERY good! Dessert was very tasty and we got a 4 pack of "cake in a can" to go! Our server and the manager were very friendly. What a let down. After studying the menu and their website extensively I finally decided to try Corndance especially after hearing great things from a colleague. Upon arrival the parking lot was full but entering the establishment it felt quiet and empty. The manager greeted us at the hostess stand and the seating hostess sat us at a booth. The interior and ambiance was not at all what I expected considering their menu offerings and prices. I really expected the dining room to be elevated and sophisticated, perhaps even with linen table cloths. It's just a glorified Outback with booths and looks very casual, nothing fine dining about the restaurant interior except perhaps their wine vault which was very elegant. I ordered the truffle risotto as my main course and it was inedible. I sent it back. Not only was the Arborio rice (if they even used the correct rice grain) granular and hard / unevenly and undercooked but the actual taste of the truffle was atrocious! I couldn't even finish my forkful. They also topped it with a queso fresco or cotija cheese which doesn't belong on this dish. Maybe a Parmesan? Why would you have risotto as a menu offering if you don't know how to cook it? The appetizer was like the Dean's French onion dip you buy at the grocery store in a tub with house made kettle chips (the chips are the only thing they got right). The elote corn was heavily doused with a steak seasoning almost like Montreal seasoning and was not an authentic flavored elote. It had a funny flavor and aftertaste. No lemon in this either and very little cheese. For being a steakhouse how can you not get a basic steak Caesar salad right? The authentic Caesar dressing should be anchovies, minced capers or garlic, lemon juice, egg yolk, and oil. So simple! Let's not reinvent the wheel. Their chef and line cooks do not know how to cook, period. This dressing has absolutely zero flavor except heavy pepper, no tanginess from the lemon, not even any salt. Flavorless and bland. Even the croutons had no taste, just roasted bread chunks with no salt or seasoning. By far the worst part of the meal was the fact that the steak was ordered medium, and our server Andrew specifically asked if was okay with a pink center and we said yes. That's how medium temperature steaks should be! Instead we got a charred completely brown & black hard dry strips. (Pictures for reference). The plating was also super awkward. They used the same shallow bowls with a high back for salad and sides and the food is almost spilling out the edge of the bowl. We needed to ask for a plate to spill the salad over into a wide plate. The only redeeming factor was their wine and stunning wine glasses. All in all, I will never be returning. You're truly better off at Ruth's Chris, Outback Steakhouse, or even Texas Roadhouse (and I despise chains!) but at least there you know what you're getting and there is uniformity and consistency. Actually Rocky River Tap and Table might be the best choice. Farm to table, fresh ingredients and fabulous taste. Everything on their menu is tasty and exquisitely prepared. Corndance is sadly, SEVERELY lacking! read more

However, the prices are a bit higher than other options around the area but with that, I have had no complaints with anything! Convenient parking and desserts to die for!
