Been going here for many years and this was the worst visit. The manager on Friday 3/13/26 was the main frustration. Not sure what her name is, but she was taller with brown hair in ponytails and any guest that night couldn't miss her. She was constantly talking very loudly at the staff, dropping f bombs, and acting condescending towards anyone she spoke to. With a table of kids nearby I watched the parents all respond to her. She was rude beyond reason and acting so self important it makes me not want to go back. That said, this is Nicks Patio, an institution. I'll try it once more, but with caution. Though they are under new management the food and serving staff are still solid. Mimi took care of me and she couldn't have been better. I am thankful I live near Nick's and have for years. I have long been a fan of this place. It indeed has my comfort foods [even chicken livers!]. At this moment I am actually eating my current favorite, the Friday mac & cheese special. I have been ordering & gulping down this dish every Friday for many months. Nick's makes it just the way I like it. It's not a sloshy, creamy, soupy mixture. It has more body to it --- and lots of cheese on top! For me, it's perfect! I have gotten to know most of the staff at the desk who bring me my carry-outs and they are terrific. Have never had a problem. Nick's Patio seems to be sort of lost in time...The menu has a lot of options, and it seems to have some personality that the actual restaurant seemed to lack...which was disappointing. Other reviews gave the impression that this was a place with a lot of character, but for us it was more "meh" than unique or exciting. If you're looking for a good value, this might be a good place for you. The portions are big, and the meals often have included salad, bread, etc. The food itself is okay but (imo) nothing to write home about. My dining partners felt the same way. Service was fine, again nothing special, but they were kind enough. The host/cashier could have maybe been a little more excited to see us, either on the way in or out, but based on the rest of the experience that just seems like par for the course. The interior is straight out of 1992, which was something, but it just seems like it's been 30ish years since they've had an update. The only thing I noticed that troubled me is that there was something going on with the acoustic-tile drop ceiling that looked really nasty, like something leaking and maybe some black mold. We haven't been to Nick's Patio for over 10 years. We decided to try them tonight because we've seen posts on social media that claim Nick's is one of the best around. Well, we disagree. Service was horrible. We sat for about 5 minutes before our server, Beng, came over to greet us and take our order. After serving our drinks, she took our order. One thing I thought was odd is that the sandwiches and burgers include a cup of soup. French fries are an additional $1.95. We ordered an appetizer of onion rings, we both got burgers and chicken noodle soup. The onion rings were borderline burnt, no seasoning, no flavor. Thank goodness for the delicious ranch dressing that came with them. The "homemade" soup was bland, no salt or pepper, spiral noodles were mushy. I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger, mayo on the side. No seasoning, again! The burger was quality meat, not greasy. I had to add a lot of salt and pepper just to draw out some flavor from the mushrooms. My husband ordered a DOUBLE cheese burger. She brings him a single. His burger was just as bland as mine. She said she misunderstood. She was not paying attention because she seemed like she was in a hurry and they weren't very busy. She brought out the food to the couple in the booth next to us and she "misunderstood" his order too. So she had to go back and get what he ordered. my husband and I came in for lunch on a Friday. We were greeted and seated quickly. the restaurant was busy but not overwhelming. Our waitress was friendly and offered us drinks right away. Menu is huge! It was hard to decide! My husband got the breakfast burger with fries. I ordered a tuna melt on sourdough with cheddar. Our food arrived fast and looked so good! my sandwich looked crisp. and golden. My fries were amazing! Hot fresh and tasty. My sandwich was 2/10 for me. The tuna was dry and very fishy, like unusually fishy. I did not eat it. I ate the bread only. I have never turned down tuna before, so it was definitely not good. Husband says burger was a 6/10 "flavorful" is his description. He said he most likely would not order again. however loved the fries. Pricing was fair for the amount you receive. overall, this restaurant was OK, most likely would not go out of my way to return there. read more

I love Nick's Patio for a reliably good meal great service. We are there over the past week and it was the first time I had a meal which was a "2". The gyro sandwich was flavorless. The meat looked like super thinly sliced lunchmeat .... like bologna in quality. No seasonings in the meat noticeable at all and an unpleasant texture. No traditional natural garlic flavoring. The white sauce, traditionally tzatziki, tasted like thick sour cream. No shredded cucumber, lemon juice, fresh garlic, or yogurt. You could glob it on but it is supposed to a "sauce." So there wasn't the compliment to the sandwich's normal highly-seasoned spiciness. The tomatoes and red onion were fresh. The pita was fresh, although it not an authentic pita with pillowy air pockets in the leavened bread. It clumped around the meat and onions but didn't curl around the filling like an envelope. The last time I ordered a gyro at Nick's, it was fabulous, but that was maybe 2022 or 2023. Hope this feedback brings back a more authentic and enticing entree. Enjoyed the cream of broccoli soup. Nice place to pop into for a quick lunch. Good club sandwich but the winner was the soup! I had the bean soup and it was the best I ever had. My lunch partner had chicken noodle and that was good also, both cups were served piping hot the way soup should be. First impressions: bathroom and eating area are VERY clean! Always a great first impression! Our waitress was with us immediately after sitting down with waters and drink requests. Having gone there multiple times now at varying hours during the day and night, I can say that this diner is fantastic. Wonderful service, great food, great prices, open 24/7, and all day breakfast! nicks patio 4/7/23 I an avid yelp reviewer, am again not pleased with nicks patio. Granted it is better than past reviews there still are some complaints made by I. Number one onthe agenda I was not a fan of waiting for my kids menu. perhaps you could have serviced better. I did appreciate the compliance to not give me a kids cup I will not get to in depth with my hatred of kids cups but I do not appreciate them because I feel as if I am discriminated of age when I am given the kids cup. I am not a fan of the confusing waiter saying I can not get my 1 bacon and 1 sausage. I felt insulted by the waiter. The food was alright, for the most part. I enjoyed the sausage yet it was a little rubbery. the hash browns were more like mush browns. The egg was disgusting the yolk and the toast was pleasant. nothing was overly good. in slang some may call it "mid" I am not a fan of nicks patio and this encounter does not make me want to eat here any more. the service was alright but I kind of felt embarrassed by the waiter who's name I did not catch. Y'all, this is a diner. Plain and simple. Now, I thought long and hard about this star rating. The solid 3 stars come from a few factors. The food is obviously nothing special. But, it's not completely gross like some diners are. The fries are amazing bits of fried potato heaven and i usually get a chicken wrap. The hash browns are gross and I did not care for them. Otherwise, everything else is a solid reliable choice, especially for those late nights. **fries are an additional $1.25 and aren't included in most meals** The wait staff is usually an issue. Not in the sense of server attitudes, but in the number of servers. There generally aren't enough although the servers that they do have are very nice and genuine. I've been to Nick's Patio too many times to count over the years. Back in the day, it was the place to go for a late night breakfast after a night out (I'm sure it still is, I'm just too old to partake in those shennigans nowadays!). It's your typical Greek diner, open 24 hours a day, huge menu, great breakfasts, good sandwiches, homemade soups and desserts that you are always too full to try. The place is usually crowded, but I've rarely had to wait. As soon as you are seated, your waters appear and the waitress is usually not far behind. And speaking of waitresses, most of them are career waitresses and have been at Nick's forever. They are friendly, quick and always remember the regulars (seems to be a lot of them every time we are there). The coffee is good and your cup is never empty...I swear I end up drinking at least a pot every time I am there. They serve breakfast 24 hours a day and have just about anything you could want. One of my go to favs is the house omelet with ham, green peppers, onions and a ton of feta cheese. The omelets are huge and include home fries and toast. Most items range from $6-8. Lunch is also good and they feature a variety of homemade soups, which vary each day. Salads are large and fresh (although a little boring with just iceberg lettuce). Service is fast even when the place is packed so it's easy to get in and out in less than an hour. Our bill for breakfast and lunch for two is typically around $17, which is very reasonable for the amount of food. read more
