Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Great staff and friendly atmosphere. We are happy that we stopped in

The first few times we ate here the food was decent!!! The last time was a disappointment to say the least, and my husband broke a tooth on a very hard piece of bacon. Won't be going back. read more

How could I not stop at an Andy Griffin theme cafe the Mayberry Cafe. The decor is red and white tables and chairs mostly. My service started great with being seated, menued and watered. My service was good at the start and I ordered the country fried steak, crispy hash browns with onions, sunny side eggs and sourdough toast. The plate looked good with the country fried steak was thicker and bigger than what you typically get where I live. The country fried steak had nice flavor and a crispy coating topped with creamy country gravy. The extra crispy hash brown were perfect. The eggs were perfect. The sourdough was better than average. After my server left the check I never saw her again. It was a big plate of food so I would get a box and put it in the fridge for the next morning but I sat and sat there with my server gone like the wind so I finally flag down another server and ask for a box. I was completely left in limbo and no other servers looked after me because I wasn't one of their tables. read more

Great breakfast! Great service! Eggs arrived hot. Only no grits on the menu. If you are honoring Mayberry RFD show which was in North Carolina which is in the south you need grits. But the home fries were pretty good. Reasonably priced too read more

Mayberry Cafe - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Elkhart, Indiana

This is my favorite breakfast place in Elkhart. The food is great. The servers are amazing. After you sit they have water on the table right away. My favorite dish is usually a special they do: the Georges skillet. read more

We have been going to Mayberry Cafe for over 30 years. My daughter has always ordered the Beef Manhattan. It consisted of a sliced of bread a scoop of mashed potatoes on top of the bread.Tiday she was served a piece of bread. No mashed potatoes with a scoop of meat on the bread.and a portion of beef and gravy. I have been making Manhattans for years and their version today was not correct. The server was very rude when we asked about about the potatoes. She told us it would be an extra charge for the potatoes. The manager came out next and was equally as rude. It saddens me that our favorite go to place has sadly changed read more

This is the breakfast spot to go to! I had the veggie skillet and added sausage, with pancakes and it was SO delicious! The potatoes in the skillet are more like home fries and they're really flavorful. I ate every bite. And they know how to poach eggs which I really appreciate. The staff is also really friendly and service is fast and considerate. They just actually care and do a great job. I'll definitely be back! read more

Great food and amazing service. Love all the food i've tried. definitely recommend for a breakfast/lunch spot!

How can you not love breakfast at a restaurant called Mayberry Cafe?! While on a recent trip to Elkhart, we were on the hunt for breakfast every morning and we had to give it a try! Definitely not disappointed one bit. You walk in the door and most tables were willed with what appeared to be local elders, groups of friends at every table, sharing a meal and talking about their day! Service was wonderful... coffee and water glasses were never more than half empty, if that and plates were cleared quickly as eat diner finished their meal. The menu was vast, breakfast comfort food galore! Pork chops, omelets, pancakes, chicken fried steak... the list goes on! With the size of their breakfast, two can easily split a meal or have your own and be full for hours! I would definitely go back again. The restroom was a little off in its cleanliness; however, it's worth mentioning that the building is quite old and I'm not going to dock a star for that! read more

Very good food, large quantity and reasonable prices. Service was also good. Large restaurant- would easily accommodate groups.

It's all good. If you like a wide menu and appreciate that it tastes the same every time you order this is your place. Quality food, excellent service and fair prices this is for you. I am blessed to eat here several times each week. It's always good! read more

This cafe has great food and great prices! The Servers are very nice! We never have to wait long for food to come out even when the cafe is full! read more

This place is great. We had breakfast on a Saturday morning. They were extremely busy, but they were efficient and we only had to wait for about 15 minutes. The service was outstanding. Once seated our server attended to us immediately. Once we ordered the food came out very quickly. The food was very flavorful and the portions were good for the price. Our service continued to check on us often while eating. As we were waiting, I noticed a few customers who were paying at the counter leave very little or no tip. Feeling convicted to do so, we decided to leave a very generous tip to make up for the apparent lack of tips they were receiving. Once at the front register, the cashier asked if I wished to leave a tip. I told her what I wanted to leave and she said "are you serious"? After I replied yes she just seemed to get an attitude. She punched in the number into the CC machine and took my payment, no thank you no nothing. I'm not sure if she was upset because she was jealous or what the issue was, but I was pretty offended considering I was just trying to be generous to the hard working employee that served us and being aware of how restaurant workers have struggled. I would have given this place 5 stars had it not been for that apparent, ungrateful attitude I received from the hostess. read more

The food was really Good, super great service, Andy Griffith stuff everywhere! Fun atmosphere.

Our server, Katie, kept us supplied with coffee and didn't bat an eye at several substitutions in our five orders. All the food, breakfast and lunch, was really good. So glad we found this place! Great veggie options, too! read more

This is a very family friendly restaurant. We located it off of Yelp. The portions were large, and the food was fresh and the customer service was on point. Definitely gives you the nostalgic memories of mayberry my friends from Dallas and Milwaukee. Keep talking about it. read more

One of the best restaurants around. Aunt Bee is still a great cook and the staff is awesome. I wasn't going to get coffee because I only like Caramel Macchiato creamer. When I noticed they had it, I asked the guy for coffee and told him I hadn't noticed they had my creamer. He brought out the coffee and an entire bowl of the creamer I wanted. It's the small stuff that makes a great establishment flourish. read more

Parking lot was full, thought was a good sign at 10:30 am on a Tuesday morning. An average nothing special cafe. Ceiling and building has had some damage, water. I'm tall and I thought My head was gonna hit the fan. tWater spots along ceiling, walls have stained wall paper and carpet on floors. Smelled okay, The food was average, expectations for an average diner. Don't expect fresh farm food. As you can see by picture. All yellow, no color. read more

wonderful food, great service, nice atmosphere. service dog friendly. no outdoor seating.

Overall, it was a great experience. The food was really good and the wait staff was friendly and intentive. My only concern is the gentleman who seated us kept staring at my sidearm that I carry professionally and legally and gave me what seemed to me to be a dirty look and did not seem interested in addressing me as he did the people I was with. It's important to note that I do respect "no guns allowed" signs when publicly posted. However, in this instance, there were none posted. I have no issue with people being mindful if they see me carrying my sidearm. I do have an issue when I seem to be treated differently when no policy against carrying is posted or communicated. read more

Great breakfast and lunches. Great home made soups. Great onion rings. Friendly , efficient wait staff. Can't go wrong eating here.

Stopped in for breakfast with some coworkers in from out of town. I had a sausage egg and cheese croissant and the others both had the pancakes. Food was out quick and the wait staff was attentive with coffee and water fill ups. The half canned pear served along as a garnish on lettuce was a bit scary to see perhaps a simple fruit salad would be a better offering. Moving forward. All in all a good experience. read more

Pretty standard diner/cafe menu but above average food and service. We were there in the middle of a busy lunch rush but we were seated right away, the food came out quickly and was very tasty. Wait staff checked on drinks often and our check was very reasonable. read more

Placed an order over the phone for pick up. It was a child's meal. When I arrived the woman at the front already looked like she was irritated. She asked who my order was for and I gave her my name. She proceeded by saying "do you even have a child?" I was thrown off because I had no idea I had to bring a child for proof to get the meal. I told her "not with me, at home" she responded with saying "Yeah we're not going to be doing kids meals to go anymore". Mind you I'm not even from Elkhart and I have never been there. Just plain rude and assuming I was getting a child's meal for myself. If they expect you to bring a child for proof they should make that clear over the phone while the order is being placed. read more

Yummy! Big portions of food! Very busy restaurant yet surprisingly quiet. Staff was superior quality. Seated quickly. While seated. We were given water, husband coffee and my drink order taken. Shortly after a friendly busy waitress took our order. The staff was quick to clear tables a guest left to make room for more customers. This family owned restaurant is a MUST stop on your trip to Elkhart! Thank you for a splendid treat! read more

Placed a to go order over the phone for lunch. Girl that too my order was nice as can be. Went to pick said order up and the man running register was just grumpy. Maybe it's just an off day but he was just acting bothered. Our orders were correct and delicious. My only complaint was that mad. He borderline rude with his action and words. If he didn't want the business then just say so. We will go elsewhere for lunch. read more

Small diner open til 2. Prices were great and a good meal too. Establishment is dated but service was attentive.

The food was average at best. I was looking forward to a Mayberry theme establishment and there were only a few pictures on the wall. The ceiling showed damage. Place needs remodeled and the breakfast needs upgraded to better quality. read more

Mayberry Cafe provides great service to its patrons. Expect a wait on a Sunday morning after church; however, the service and food is worth it in my opinion.
