The food is not bad, but whenever I have ordered from there, and asked for no dill pickle in the box, one would always be in it. I hate pickles. Today, I made it very clear in the instructions that I don't want any pickles and don't want the dill pickle getting pickle juice on my fries. When I received my order, the box was covered in rude and snarky comments such as, "pickle phobia", "NO PICKLES and she means it!", "absolutely not one pickle", "not 1 pickle", and inside the box it read, "No pickles here either!". I will not be ordering anything else from them ever.

One of the best places for breakfast in town. Service is friendly and helpful. I like my scrambled eggs, cooked but not browned, at all, and they are always cooked as requested. The same with the bacon, it's not too hard and it's not too soft, just right. They also have the best homemade breakfast sausage. I love hot sauce on my eggs and there are tons to choose from, not just Tabasco like a lot of places have. The prices are reasonable for the quality of food you receive. It's not overly loud, which I also love. I also really love that the owner or manager comes around and checks on you.

This is a great, little locally owned spot with your standard diner breakfast and lunch fare at a great price. Bring your patience as there is usually a wait and slow service during peak hours on the weekend. Our most recent visit was a Saturday morning around 10:15. Our wait for a table was only about 10 minutes, but once seated it was 20 minutes before our waitress had time to get to us and then close to an hour before we had our food. Not ideal, but understandable given the fact that almost everyone is short staffed. Prices are very reasonable ($18 for two huge breakfasts) and service is friendly.

I went in with my family for a Sunday brunch and they are super pack. However, people keep moving in and out fairly quick and the wait is not too bad. I highly recommend the Hot Chocolate. It came in a random cup and I happen to get it in a beer mug. It topped with whipped cream, along with chocolate drizzle with Gold and Blue sparkles [given it was Notre Dame home game weekend] The Two Eggs with Corned Beef Hash just hit the spot, along with the hash brown and 2 slides of toast. Totally love this intimate diner. The server is super friendly and attentive. The only downside is the parking can be a bit hectic during busy hours.

This food was soooo goood. I can't stop thinking about it actually. Both my bf and I got the German special. It's also sooo cute in there, and each table has its own unique salt and pepper shaker. When I commented on the aesthetic of the place to a waitress, she said, "oh yeah I love it - it's home." And if that doesn't make your heart melt idk what will

I stopped in a few weeks ago when in town for a job interview. Service and food were in point. Daily specials and good selection in the menu. Biscuits and gravy are very good. Everything is cooked fresh to order. If you are looking for a good breakfast spot this is your place. They have lunch also but not tried it yet. I am a breakfast guy.

We went with a party of 5 and there is only one table that fit us but luckily it was open. I would suggest going early because they sell out fast. It was very busy when we went but it was worth it. I really liked the Ube cookie and the sandwich I got. They warmed the sandwich but not the cookie (I also didn't ask them to). Located next to Brasserie 23 and some nice apartments, the exterior of this café immediately gave off European café vibes. Inside, we were greeted by the staff and looked at the menu for a bit before ordering. About 5 minutes after ordering, we received our drinks and food from a few kind, fast, and professional baristas. There is free wifi and the two unisex bathrooms are clean. There is also a lot of places to sit and we saw a few students working on homework while sipping on their matcha lattes. The prices for everything is overall decent but still a little high. Bakery goods are priced well while the drinks are maybe a dollar too expensive. They only use locally sourced whole milk in their drinks as well, just an FYI. All around the cafe are various things for sale, like local coffee beans, glass jars of that whole milk, and yummy loaves of sourdough and foccacia bread. I am from out of town so I didn't buy any bread or milk but I wish I could have! As for the food, everything was indulgent and delicious! We ordered a lot. I got a cinnamon churro latte with GORGEOUS sky design art. The taste was pretty basic - Like a cinnamon hot chocolate. Very milk forward. My bf got a chai latte. This had strong flavor. I should get a different drink next time as I only like to pay $7 for drinks that are unique! My bad! So after we each had an indulgent caffeine drink, we then had a breakfast sandwich. I got the turkey/bacon and my bf got the sausage one. Bacon was good and slightly fatty and the bun/brioche bread was really poofy! After an hour or so of conversation with my bf's family and friends, we then shared an almond fragipange cookie (thiccc and moist) and a blueberry coffee cake slice. Both were great! We had the coffee cake at his home and enjoyed the cookie at the cafe. The cookie was just like the cookies from the famous Levain cookie chain. These are the kind of cookies you can only have infrequently because they are so high calories, but boy, they are delish! I already followed Caffe Capriccio on Instagram so I can keep track of limited time drinks and desserts! I'll be moving to this area next year to be with my boyfriend and am happy to say that we will definitely be back!

The smoothies are pretty good. I think I've had the Orange Sunrise and the Bangin' Berry. I'll probably try more, but of those two, the Orange Sunrise is better, hands down. I've never had breakfast here, but they do offer Quorn substitutes for anything that comes with chicken, so there are plenty of vegetarian options for a place with such a limited menu to start with. It's located in the Duncan Student Center, which is the building they attached to the west side of the football stadium. The cafe is near the north entrance. There's lots of seating, but some of the stools are annoying tall ones, which seem to be all the rage these days, even though they're uncomfortable. The good thing about the tall stools is that they have these special metal baskets at the bottom so that you have somewhere to put all your junk while you're eating. I can see this coming in handy when the weather's bad, which it often is in South Bend; you don't have to sit against your wet and/or cold coat.

The first thing I noticed was they were a little stingy with the meat. This Sloppy Joe cost $6.00 and the bun was ALMOST covered with meat. The next thing I noticed were the INCREDIBLY GREASEY fries! I picked one up and it was mushy and SATURATED with grease/oil. (see photo) ALL of the fries were soaked through and though with oil and not a crispy fry among them! I ate one and left the rest on the plate. Another customer sitting across the counter from me saw me wagging the mushy fry like a wet noodle and I heard him tell his friend "Maybe we better NOT get the fries"- GOOD ADVICE! The waitress must have sensed better than to ask me "How was everything?" as I paid the bill. The Sloppy Joe didn't taste bad- but it sure wasn't worth $6.00- and the fries were inedible. With a Coke the entire bill came to $9.01, about $4.00 too much in my opinion. I doubt very much that I will visiting Jennie's anytime soon again.

This place was bustling!! It seems like a very popular spot! We just had the two of us and were seated at a small two person table between two other close tables - located alongside a long booth bench against the wall that breaks up into individual seating spots. This was totally fine for our breakfast that morning but it's not something I'd prefer if you like your privacy in conversation or otherwise. ;) The service was slow to start but after our waitress came she was mostly attentive the rest of our meal. We ordered 2 coffees. These were stronger and much more delicious than your average "diner cup"!! The staff offered a couple of refills throughout our time. I really loved the simplicity of the menu! There are options with a great variety, but it's still concise and not overwhelming!! Our dishes came out within 10 minutes of ordering, extremely fast and was surprising! My husband ordered the Huevos Rancheros with chorizo and he enjoyed it! The flavors were bold and the plate was pleasing to the eyes except for the avocado which was looked like it was quickly turning. I ordered the Crab Cake Benedict and had super high expectations for this entree!! It looked so beautiful upon arrival but when I began eating I quickly realized the dish was quite cool! My first half came with a well done poached egg which was disappointing. The second piece was cooked perfectly but was also just not very warm. The hollandaise sauce had wonderful flavor, but again, just wasn't warm - it seemed like the dish had maybe been sitting. I think this dish could be outstanding at the right temperature!! The potatoes that accompany this entree were a little dry for my liking but my husband thought they were good!! :) We noticed other tables with special lattes and several parties being served decadent looking sweet breakfast options - those all looked delicious!! There was a super kind and outgoing waitress serving nearby tables, explaining all kinds of special choices, like lovely latte options that were being offered that morning. The way she so kindly described everything sounded delicious but unfortunately our waitress didn't welcome our table with that same level of hospitality. What we saw being ordered by those nearby was met with great happiness when it arrived to them!! :)
