In general, the staff, the drinks (especially the draft/craft beers) and food are outstanding. So far, so good. But earlier today, I ran into a situation that's happened 3 times now. I'm speaking about the inattentiveness of a particular bartender not only to my needs, but to my very presence at the bar, at all.. Now, there are two bartenders at Cappy's who are outstanding - a middle-aged brunette with glasses and a much younger brunette. Both women are genial and hard-working, and I have nothing but good to say about these two. But a third bartender - a middle-aged blonde with glasses and an obnoxiously loud voice - is another story entirely. When I sat at the right side of the bar today, she failed to even look at me for 12 minutes (yes, I was keeping track). Seemingly, she was too busy at the other end of the bar talking with people she knew. At one point, two friendly "locals" sat down to my right, and we began to talk. Soon, this blonde bartender noted that two other local people had left their spots at the other end of the bar - and without asking my conversational partners ahead of time, she proceeded to move them to the other section, presumably because they might know other locals who were seated there. This left me alone in my seat, and with no one to speak with. Thankfully, the genial middle-aged bartender whom I truly appreciate soon began her shift. She tended to me immediately, and I was pleased. After a couple of beers and a polite bit of time, I gently asked her if the blonde bartender was in the habit of catering to "locals" only. She nodded in agreement, and said she'd heard stories about this. I then had a bacon cheeseburger, and was satisfied with the food and the service. But if I walk into Cappy's in the future, and see the loud blonde woman behind the bar, I will turn around and take my business elsewhere. This woman is inexplicably rude, and there's no place for that in an otherwise wonderful little establishment.

Jack, the manager, went above and beyond to make things right. He was attentive, genuine, and clearly cared about making sure we felt valued as customers. His effort didn't go unnoticed and completely shifted the tone of our evening. Our banquet hall waitress (I wish I remembered her name!) was equally impressive, she was kind, attentive, and stayed on top of everything throughout the meal. You could tell she truly cared about giving us a great experience. On top of the great service, the food was amazing, everything we had was delicious and well worth the visit. What started off frustrating ended up being a really enjoyable night thanks to their outstanding service and commitment to making things right. That level of care goes a long way, and it's the reason we'll definitely be back.

The crust was exactly how I like it, crisp and dark. The sauce had a tang to it and a wonderful flavor. It was also plentiful and not over sauced. The cheese was also perfectly done and slightly browned in places. They cut it into wedges of which I had 4 pieces. Normally I wouldn't have eaten them hat much but I couldn't stop. I wish that I had taken photos but it disappeared so quickly with 8 of us chowing down on it. J would drive miles for this pizza and next time I want to add sausage with the pepperoni.
