A super meh place with a super bland menu. I've tried everything from the salads to the sandwiches and it's all just overpriced blandness. The only thing that saves this from a 1 star is the that place is usually pretty clean and service has never been bad. I just wish the food was better. read more

I'd give McAlister's 5 stars except when you order like soup or a side of potato salad, they fill the cup up halfway and the cups are already small. The food is not cheap, so you'd think they'd at least give you a full cup. I know food prices are soaring, but 14 dollars for a sandwich should warrant a full cup of a side! And I don't want to be labeled as a "Karen" so we don't even say anything in the restaurant. We don't want free food. We just want full cups. ‍ read more

Just your typical McAlister's but did want to not that when I went in today for lunch the system crashed right when it was my turn to order! Luckily the lady behind the counter took my order the old fashioned way and then told me to just come up and pay when I was done eating. Great service! read more

Food is good. Carrot cake is to die for. Service and atmosphere are good. All just very over priced like nearly every other restaurant these days. I used to go once every two weeks. Now I go once every two months. But it's worth it. It is laid out and seems to be competing head to head with Paneras. I'd take McAlister's any day over Panera. read more

Sandwiches! Sandwiches! Sandwiches! We all have that type of food we like, and even with many diverse dining options for me nothing beats a great sandwich. Especially a restarant that specializes in diverse sandwich offerings with great side pairings. I usually go to Martins for paninis, in addition to being a fan of Subway and Jimmy Johns too. Yet though I've checked out different sandwich shops in and outside the area and many of them have great offerings, many of them have no diversification to their sandwich themes. For instance, Subway and Jimmy Johns specializes in subs, but do not offer paninis and other types of sandwiches. Then the opposite issue exists for other restaurants that may offer paninis but no subs, in addition to being too oily and heavily toasted. Though those are good places to grab a sandwich and eat a no fuss kind of meal, the breadth of their sandwich options can be narrow, only possessing a nice depth of options per sandwich. Then there are other establishments that serve a range of sandwiches but are too pricey for the offering and/or aren't as convenient for a quicker grab and go meal. Well McAlister's has solved this dilemma, making this one of my go-to's. Its location is great for shoppers that want to take a break and sit and dine, as well as those who are on the go and want to carry on with their day. When I first started coming here, with many restaurants I noticed the seating arrangements, which are maintained at a socially comfortable distance (even before Covid), with booth options with a nice casual feel. Now I like sandwiches of all sorts but a nice grilled panini with crispy toasted bread always does it for me. When I looked at their menu options, they definitely satisfied that want. Offering different types of clubs (made panini style), as well and sub sandwiches. Yet there's one thing that is a bummer for me, and that is when you go to sandwich shops with limited side options offering "just" fries/chips (especially if they're basic). Luckily McAlister's has a great selection of sides serving mac n' cheese, potato salad, steamed vegetables, and their vegetable salad etc, etc. Nice!! So, I ordered their black angus club with soup and mac cheese, being delicious as always. I usually order carryout when I visit, or Door Dash. But I was pleasantly surprised when I dinned in for the first time, when I received table service. Then when my meal arrived even more so with the presentation, in addition to already knowing I would be getting a good meal. As always, I enjoyed my club, because I like the texture and ratio of meat to toppings. I like that their clubs are toasted similar to a panini however are a bit lighter and healthier because of the lack of oil or butter. My club was just that having light crispy bread, while being flavorful and meaty. I always enjoy their rich soups and mac n' cheese, and McAlister's is very generous on the soup amount per price. I can always count on a good meal here. This is my definite go-to for sandwiches when I'm out and about on this side of town. I always enjoy everything that I ordered here, and I am glad the area has McAlister's. read more

We spent $92 including tip and only one of our four sandwiches was made correctly. We also didn't get any pickles, despite selecting the add pickle option for every sandwich. I am so sorry to complain but I was actually really sad about not receiving any pickles. I can pick tomatoes and such off but those pickles are so good. Employees were polite! read more

So this rating is for whomever handles the carry out/Uber Eats for this location. I would say on average 4/5 orders something is wrong or missing. This last order an entire bag of food was missing. If someone is spending $120 on a takeout order, maybe, just maybe, there should be some quality control and ensure that an Uber driver is given everything. My family and I are big fans of McCalister's food, however, their accuracy on mobile orders is the worst I've dealt with by far. read more

The food here is pretty good. They have a variety of sandwiches with soup and other sides. They even have loaded baked potatos. It has a feeling of a less pretentious Panera Bread. It can be a bit pricey as it cost around 30 dollars for my wife and I. The place was very clean. The service was really good. I really reccomend coming here for lunch. read more

I was gonna make this a 2 star review, but my expectations were met, so that bumps the score for me. Like, ordering wasn't confusing, we got our drinks, then our food, and sat down. Simple, simple, and simple. The food tasted really good, and I would definitely come back to try more of the menu. This was a strange experience for me, though. To start, when we got our food and sat down, about 5 minutes in, a lady walked up, and looked at our table for about a good 5 seconds, then she snapped a finger, and asked if I wanted a refill. She was quick with the drink, but until she gave me the drink, then again, she stares for 5 seconds, and points out my shirt. I guess this was just a way to create conversation and be friendly with the customers. Maybe she's new? Either way, I found it to be a little awkward. Also, I got the Jalapeno Turkey Crunch, and there was absolutely no spice added to the sandwich. Maybe it was because it was busy during that time? Either way, if its part of the ingredients, then it has to be on the sandwich. I also had a to-go order, and that took a while, and it was only 1 menu item. The wait time for our order at the table was pretty much the same wait time. Again, maybe it was because it was busy? But, I can't complain, the food was really good. read more

I came in absolutely starving with 15 minutes before a very important interview and they generously helped me get exactly what I needed. A friend recommended this place for their delicious sweet tea. Thank I got the strawberry flavor and you can taste that they make it fresh on the spot. Free Tea Day is July 18th. They gave me an extra large serving, or is their normal size? Don't be fooled by the photo, this order is smaller than it looks. It's dryer than it looks, to the point where it's inedible. The sweet tea is good but we won't return for the food. There's too many good places to eat in Mishawaka to waste your time here read more

Visited McA's at least 4X over the past several months, and in three different stores. This lunch in Mishawaka wasn't up to their norm. Our "soup and half sandwich" took over 40 minutes, several tables were not bussed, and the women's restroom was in need of attention. Although waitstaff was pleasant, it seemed they were understaffed, particularly for the prime lunch hour. Good thing I didn't have to get back to work at one o'clock. There are several other choices for a "long lunch" in this area. Today just wasn't the day for McA's. read more

I ordered 'The New Yorker,' sandwich, I added a garden salad, and a lemonade and a cookie. I placed my order at 7:55 p.m. I didn't receive my order until almost 9 p.m. It took almost an hour to receive a sandwich and a salad AND they forgot my drink and cookie. It cost me almost $26 for a sandwich and a salad! It took almost an hour for delivery and I didn't receive what I was charged for. I'm not impressed with the food at all. It wasn't worth waiting an hour for and not receiving my drink. Needless to add, I will never order from here again. read more

McAlister's is definitely one of our favorite stopping off places for lunch while shopping in Mishawaka. We like it because it is consistently clean and user friendly. The only negative factor is its accessibility from roads through a rather large mall parking lot. As far as the food goes, we highly recommend the Reuben, The McAlister Club, The Black Cherry Ham, The New Yorker (my personal favorite), and of course the salads. We also enjoy the sugar cookies, marshmallow bars, and the iced, and lemonade. Some time ago the included on their menu a muffuletta sandwich that was excellent, but it has been removed. This is an A-okay place if you like chain restaurants. I don't happen to frequent them, but it was near a stop off Grape Road I had to make for work, so it's location was convenient. I've never been to a McAlister's so this was my first ever visit. Not knowing what to expect, I ordered the Four Cheese Griller and a cup of tomato bisque. The sandwich was cheesy and served on a ciabatta bread... not my favorite, but options aren't offered. I prefer a toasted type bread... it felt like eat eating a bun. The soup was okay. Temperature could have been warmer, but it tasted fine. Not much more to share. In a pinch this place is okay, but I wouldn't make a special trip to eat here. I'm much more suited to all those Mom & Pop places. read more

Not much good to say about this place. With so many choices you can cross this one off. Should have had the first clue when the person taking our order was not helpful and borderline rude. Ordered 3 salads and a Tea online for pickup. One of the salads (Cobb) was made wrong. One small piece of chicken on it that was was FROZEN. No dressing. Had to drive back to the restaurant to pickup another salad......employees were immature and no help. Too bad this place is ran so poorly. read more

Took my wife and kids here for the first time. Great food, excellent and quick service, and prices are great. I would say this place is like Panera Bread, but with Deli sandwiches, less wait time and better prices and service. I highly recommend. read more
