I door dashed tonight and didn't want fried- like I wanted something different. I've passed CoreLife a lot since they opened, but never tried it. Honestly, because it's "health food" I always thought the price would be high. I clicked on their profile on DoorDash and was shocked about the price! What? No more expensive than Culver's or what I get at Penn Station. I looked through the menu and ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl and a side of sweet potatoes, just because it sounded good. Wow-I have found my new favorite spot! This food is sooo good! The flavor is amazing-truly blown away. All of it was cooked to perfection, and while you get the smoothness of the quinoa and chicken, you get the crunch of the fresh veggies. I'm truly blown away. Great food options at great prices. Highly recommend! read more

A bunch of workers talking in back was made to wait for my doordash order 15 mins. 1 customer in line. Team was ignoring me and didn't care then almost made me leave with half the order. 2/18 2:15 pm Don't go here. Wife and I occasionally go here and have a good enough experience to come back. This time, not so much. Placed the order over the phone for a tri tip steakhouse bowl for myself and saucy buffalo chicken bowl for my wife. The tri tip steakhouse bowl was missing the rosemary red potatoes along with the onion crisps. Not to mention the laughable amount of trip tip steak that was included in it. Completely overdone and bizarrely small pieces. The whole point of going here is to get some decent protein in and this amount wouldn't fill up a bird. Wife's bowl was missing cheese, tortilla strips, cilantro and basil. Just glad we were able to apply a gift card to this order. Very disappointed! read more

I was feeling under the weather, and in need of some warm and spicy broth to soothe my throat so I was grateful to see that there was a Corelife located along our drive back home to Indianapolis. We very quickly ordered our main to order Thai spicy noodle soup along with a veggie wrap and enjoyed both. The prices are reasonable and it's nice to have a quick option filled with vegetables. I also noticed that they have a variety of smoothies now on the menu although I didn't get to try any this time. Note that you can change which meats and broth go with the bowls and build it as your own down the line. The staff was fairly friendly, and seemed to know what they were doing. My only complaint was at the high chairs were pretty gross, and we ended up cleaning them ourselves before using. Otherwise, a positive and straightforward experience. read more

The lady who took our order did not smile. I told her it was my first time here and she asked what protein I wanted w/o explaining the choices. I had to ask. The chx was bland and was a small serving. The Brussels sprouts looked like greasy black leaves which he scrapes from the bottom of the pan. I cldn't eat them. The sweet potatoes slices were greasy and mostly black. It was a waste of money and a waste of calories. There was only one other person in the restuarant besides my friend and it was a horrible experience all around. Don't waste your time or money. read more

The choices are great, the restaurant is clean, and a friendly staff. However, I do not carry out because when I have done so in the past, there has always been issues. Great place to go, not to carry out. read more

Stopped in for a quick lunch today and tried the poke bowl. I have never been to a core life before so this was a new experience, it seems like you can order a bowl almost like being at chipotle or qdoba. The okie bowl has just the right amount of spice and tons of flavor. The girl working the register seemed to be taking her time but I had the time so I can't complain. I will definitely be stopping back by when I am in town again! read more

If you are looking for a clean, and healthy meal, CoreLife is the place to be. The fast casual chain is a game changer for those who are tired of the usual chains and want an alternative healthier option. I really enjoy the broth bowls at CoreLife! Love this location it's so delicious and fresh, I love the build your own bowl option I get a ton of add ins and the bowl usually comes out to be less than 15$! Super affordable and everything is always really clean inside. The only downside is the staff isn't that nice and they're not great at handling big crowds when it's busy. read more

The Bowl of Bowls!! I stopped into Corelife while in the SouthBend area. I had completed a gruelling workout at Crossfit South Bend and I was famished. I was looking for something different and not the usual fare. I asked the folks at Crossfit for a recommendation for someplace clean and healthy I could eat they told me this was the place to go. I walked in off the street and from the outside, it didn't look like anything special but once you walk in you are inundated by the colours and the motivational mottos already subliminally planting the idea that this is a healthy place to eat. Let me warn you, for the first-timer, check out the menu online first to grasp the concept. Once you walk in and it's time to order, you may be a little intimidated by the vast selections. Luckily, it was just after the dinner rush and the staff took their time, helped me pick a few items, and I was very surprised how my bowl turned out. I just happened to hit all my macros and micros, I had lean proteins, fibres, veggies and kept things relatively low carb. My meal turned out to be quite the feast and was delicious. Whatever your dietary concerns are, you're covered whether you're a carnivore, a Vegan, Vegetarian, gluten-free, etc, etc, you'll find something enjoyable to eat. read more

Honestly not worth the price we paid. Kids meal was super small with nothing included. Just the small quesadilla for $6. The Korean BBQ pork was fine. Nothing I would come back for. Then my moms southwest bbq chicken was lacking in portion size as well. Honestly this place is way overpriced for the food. Also no sodas so mom was disappointed. Service was short and to the point. Restaurant was clean and lots of seating. We won't be back. read more

I am usually the biggest fan of CoreLife. Healthy and delicious. Unfortunately had a terrible experience today. Ordered a Korean BBQ pork bowl and noticed the employee had no clue how to make it. Eventually she found it on the cheat sheet and started putting tiny pinches of toppings into the bowl. I ordered the large because I enjoy eating it for dinner and eating the rest for lunch the next day. This "large" bowl wouldn't have even weighed up to a usual regular size bowl. After finishing up with the rice and veggies, she started adding the pork. The pork container was obviously empty while she fished around for tiny strands of pork to add. The pork was about half the portion as usual which was on par with the rest of the bowl. I've never ordered a CoreLife bowl where the contents don't touch the lid while closed. This bowl had a consistent 2 inch gap between the food and lid. CoreLife is on the pricier side of the fast food experiences out there, but it's usually always worth it. Today, my $14 bowl was NOT worth it. Obviously the two kids running the place were very new so I don't blame them but still disappointed. As you can see in the picture, you can see much wall space within the bowl. Usually you can't see any because it's actually full read more

This place is the best! I can always count on CoreLife for a healthy, hearty, and fulfilling meal. The classic Kale Caesar is a favorite. Also, I'd like to address their speed of service. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes in the line, and then they make your food in front of you, so really, you hardly have to wait at all. It is on the pricier side, but for the fresh ingredients and personalized experience, it makes sense. I will continue to come to CoreLife for my favorite healthy meal in South Bend! The fresh ingredients truly make the world of a difference. read more

So disappointing! I ordered extras to my Cobb salad bowl (actually a pick two) that included bread, avacado, extra dressing, carrots and peppers. Got no bread, no avacado, very little chicken and carrots and peppers. This was a $20 + salad which with all the missing ingredients was not worth any where close to that. The second part of the pick two was Mac and cheese with the buffalo chicken. The Mac and cheese was a mushy mess. Tasted like it had been reheated several times. It was disgusting. This was a disappointment. I had hoped this would be great. Not so much...... read more

Delicious!!! But I did suck up a dead daddy long legs out of my tea so watch out for the drinks. But the food is delicious!

Been coming to the Mishawaka location consistently for about as long as they've been open, and, while the food quality has consistently been high, it's clear that the majority of the other aspects of the environment need work. That breaks my heart to say, given how much I DO enjoy the options they offer, but it's hard to overlook almost everything else. The biggest issue is portion control. To put it bluntly, even if you're ordering a large bowl, the amount any employee will fill it with will vary like crazy. I've seen these a third of the way full, a half, and, only very rarely, unfortunately, entirely full. This seems a little wild to me, personally, because the food on offer is incredibly expensive. 20 dollars (tip included) for a meal that potentially will not fill you up is a tough pill to swallow. If I discuss the restaurant with coworkers or friends who are looking to grab a meal, this will almost always be the crux of any opposing argument. It's just too inconsistent. My advice? Absolutely never order through the app. Order in person, and make sure you ask for more ingredients if you see the bowl getting pretty meager portions. The meal is expensive. Make sure you're getting your money's worth. The second aspect, and I KNOW this factors into the first, is that the employees are completely indifferent about the ordering process. There's no energy, no value to the process, and no real interaction between the person making the food and the person putting it together. I'm not entirely sure where the issue lies, but most of the time there's this level of apathy about the line ordering that is just BEYOND standard fast food. I don't know what they take home, per hour, but I can't imagine it's enough. I've almost never seen anyone there more than once, just as an observation. Ultimately though, I think CoreLife shoot themselves in the foot. They have really solid food, but wild inconsistencies in its delivery, and I'm fairly confident that comes down to the fact that the people preparing it just aren't interested in meeting any particular standard. That sounds harsh, and maybe it IS, but they set themselves a fairly high bar and under-deliver consistently. If they can standardize their ingredient amounts, and bring up their customer service standards, no doubt they'll be in fantastic shape, but as it stands, myself and almost everyone I know will just end up looking elsewhere for healthier alternatives. It's just not worth it to open up your wallet and roll the dice. read more

Cool place, lots of great looking and healthy food options. Just stopped by after an afternoon of shopping and wanted a drink, fun healthy lemonade and teas. Lemonades with beet juice, apple cider vinegar, tumeric, cayenne... sounds crazy but they were good. Ended up getting a Greek chicken taco, not overly hungry but just wanted a little something. It was good, tasted like a gyro. The menu was impressive, looking forward to going back and trying more things on the menu. read more

Fresh, fresh and more fresh. This is the place to come for fresh, healthier food. It is great news for Mishawaka to have a Core Life in the area. In all of my meals I have left happy. Their broth and dressings are all good. If you're looking for great Ahi Poke, try somewhere else. It's clearly a lower end frozen product. You want fresh here not frozen, so try the salads, power plates or bowls. You will leave satisfied and full. read more

When in town, I visited with a friend. It's a pleasant, clean environment. We were served quickly and found seating easily even though there was quite a large line. I have been trying to eat clean, so having non-processed food options was great! I chose grilled chicken, quinoa and sweet potatoes. The sweet potatoes were the best I've ever had. I was pleasantly surprised to find out they don't serve pop, but there are a lot of tea and lemonade options. My friend enjoyed her lunch, also. She had steak, with greens, purple rice and hard boiled eggs. I was able to take approximately half home due to the large portions. I'd definitely try this restaurant again. read more

Pretty solid first outing here- the menu seems somewhat overwhelming but is essentially "salad," "leafy green grain bowls," "rice base dishes," "broth/soups," and "other." -- I got one of what the employee called a 'curated' option (aka straight off the menu, not build-your own), the bacon bleu steak green bowl, and it was pretty lovely, with well balanced flavor. I added a half avocado (for as much as I can buy two at the store, but hey whatev) and it melded the flavors even better, fully recommend. The drink selection was interesting, nice little tasting cups to try and multiple flavors but in the end, it's mostly just sugary flavored lemonades, a hibiscus-like flavored green tea, and iced coffee. I think the difficulty here for most folks will be the small portions of proteins and premium toppings like bacon or cheese (even when included, they were maybe 2.5oz, 1oz, and 1oz in my salad, respectively), though the overall salad (with the avocado for that filling healthy fat) did satisfy for a solid lunch. But those ADD ONs all come with a cost if not already in your selection and it is not cheap! Be aware when you're ordering! My salad + avocado and drink set me back $14 and change with tax. Definitely not an everyday stop, but I like the options here when I don't want to bathe in greasy fried coating or ranch dressing. read more

I had a coupon today for 50% 0ff so I got a spicy chicken bowl. So instead of paying $8.45 I paid $4.23. I replaced the white lettuce with a spring mix lettuce which was much better and healthier. The spicy chicken bowl had some kick to it and I would get it again as long as I have a coupon. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. I asked for some recommendations and there choices were great. When I got to the end of the counter I took all the free spices that they had to offer. I took the chicken home for my dogs. The restraunt was very clean with very little clean up needed. Just a table that needed to be wiped off and a napkin on the ground but that was all I noticed. As I was writing this review a lady came out and cleaned off the table and picked up the napkin of the floor.l as well as other cleaning she did. As I was eating I noticed that the employees were cleaning the drink machines and counters which is nice to see. I feel more comfortable eating at a clean restraunt. This is a great place to check out. read more

The menu is wonderful. Healthier options served to your own specifications. It is the execution that is the issue. My husband always likes his food but he only orders the same thing over and over...the Korean bowl. I got the Thai rice noodles today. My chicken was mushy. The 3 chunks that were in the bowl. The noodles were rock hard. It was inedible. The sauces are flavorful but there is no point if they are put on food that is not cooked well. read more

Second visit. The first (opening week) was good -- probably 4 stars. This time was different... it seems their food quality has gone down quite a bit since opening. It is very very rare for panda not to finish a dish but she didn't eat half of it. The tofu ginger sriracha salad left much to be desired. The tofu was sparse and very very burnt (tasted like hard tater tots) and the bean sprouts were slimy. Overall pretty gross. Giving this 2 stars because it's convenient and somewhat healthy-- definitely a concept that South Bend needs. read more

Poor Service!!!! I ordered a tuna poke salad and aimed to pay for the food. After rumbling for the no tip button, I was informed that the transaction timed out. I explained to the manager that the money was taken from My account as I visually showed her my bank account (transaction list). The manager rebuttled by stating that the transaction timed out and that the account will reflect. I explained to the manager that the money was immediately deducted and that I was not going to pay for the food twice. The manager then refused to refund the moneys because she said that the transaction timed out and that it didn't charge me.
