I tried the chive pancakes and red curry chicken. The pancakes were simple and tasty, though a bit of old oil left black speckles. The red curry chicken was delicious and full of flavor.

Came here for a family reunion. Came highly recommended from past experiences. Recent reviews complained of serving food in to go containers. We called ahead to make sure this was no longer the case as we are trying to reduce our single use plastic. We were happy they said they don't use plastic anyone for food. Unfortunately, they only have beverages in plastic bottles. The food is all made to order. They will add or subtract anything and spice levels are 1-10. Loved the chive dumplings. The mango salad was OK as were the summer role. My son got the pad Thai without any spice. He loved it. My husband got the Masaman curry without spice so my son could try it. The waitress said it had a little spice. We went for it anyway. It had too much of a kick for my son. It was great to me. I got the pad see ew with chicken. Spice level 5. It was OK. We also got the Tom Yum soup spice level 7. It was so flavorful. It was a bit salty. Would love to come back next time we are visiting. We were a table of 10 and our waitress handled it amazingly. Service was great. Loved it was a family- owned restaurant.

Corner of downtown South Bend, this hidden gem is now one of my favorite places to eat. Vegetarian friendly and the staff are nice and attentive. Would recommend and will come back to this!

I've loved Cambodian Thai for years, starting in my undergrad days, so it definitely has a touch of nostalgia for me. I haven't been back in years and my hopes were high for a delicious meal reminiscent of my youth-- and for the most part, my expectations were met! I went with a party of 10 people and we were quickly seated. The service was excellent-- our waiter was great but she seemed to be the only server in the establishment. Despite this she moved as fast as she could and was very attentive. As other reviews have mentioned, due to the short staff the service can be slow, so be prepared to have a leisurely meal. The atmosphere is pleasant but modest-- a reminder that the best meals can come from the humblest places. I am happy to report THEY ARE USING REAL CHINA!! No more of the styrofoam and paper plates so reviled in the recent reviews! We started off with spring rolls, papaya salad, and chive dumplings. Al were fresh and delicious. My favorite was the papaya salad, very refreshing. I used to LOVE the chive dumplings in undergrad, but unfortunately the flavor was a bit lacking. The entrees come with a spice level from 1-10. My party ordered anywhere in the range from 1 to 9! For the most part, the ratings rang true, although the lone brave soul who opted for 9 reported it was not that spicy (perhaps putting on a brave face). I had the basil fried rice with tofu rates at 7, another nostalgic meal. Again, not quite as flavorful as memory served, but still delicious. As a bonus, the waitress let us know the restaurant is entirely family run. Her mom and dad own the place, and her Cambodian mom adapted the Thai recipes from ones she learned in a refugee camp. Her brothers round out the staff. Great story and great to see a South Bend treasure (hopefully) thriving. Overall, great food, great service, will always come back!

Cambodian Thai was highly recommended to me, and though I haven't had Cambodian food before, I assume this is a mixture between the two cultures. Their seafood pho is very tasty, comes with lots of soup and meat and seafood. The soup gets saltier as you drink it but it seems to be a common occurrence here in SB. I've also had the panang and I got level 1 spice and was sweating! I will be ordering with no spicy from now on. Their crab rangoon and Thai ice Tea is good too. I've also tried the drunken noodle which was okay. They didn't have Cambodian iced coffee so I opted for the Thai iced coffee and it was interesting, kind of a hybrid between Viet coffee and Thai iced tea. I think I'll stick to one or the other next time! The green curry with tofu was decent. It was mildly spicy even though I didn't specify what level so I'm not sure what level that was. Again, with all the curries I've tried I always wish the portion was bigger, especially the rice... it's just a small bowl of it. I would order it with meat next time, tofu is just okay, it's the dried kind. I've also had the pad sen won which comes with a small bowl of rice but the main dish is chicken with very thin glass noodles. It's pretty good. It's one of my usual places for lunch since there isn't a huge selection of choices in this area when I'm looking for asian comfort food. I also needs my Thai iced tea so that always sways my decision.

Nice for a quick lunch. The egg rolls are very tasty and hot off the fryer. Curry is great and pot stickers are a must order.

Had a major craving for Thai food, but was disappointed in a number of things. First off, the potential killed me! Great location, great space...zero design. Diner tables. Grey walls. One painting hanging off center. Wall paint chipping. Sigh. So much potential. Hopefully the owners decide to revamp soon! Service was good! One girl ran the whole place. She was young but handled everything from cleaning to ordering to delivering to ringing up "take out" orders. Well done! As for food, I ordered the Penang Curry, so I can't speak to any other dish, and it tasted okay as far as "food and flavor" go (besides the insane amount of salt...and I usually love salt on salt) but it wasn't "Thai Penang Curry" in anything other than look...maybe that's a sign that I've had really good "PC" in my life. Ha. The curry was thin and very watered down. There was zero spice. Like none. And Penang curry usually makes me sweat. The only veggies were green peppers that were not precooked at all and slightly rubbery. The chicken was decent. But the rice was dry. Not worth the $10 Lastly, for those concerned about hormone imbalances (I don't really care, ha, maybe I should) but they do serve all their dishes out of cheap paper or plastic plates and you can't get water unless you order a bottle of it. Aka water isn't free. And for those with a shellfish allergy, be careful! I have a severe mollusk allergy and never have issues with Thai food...but they add oyster sauce into almost everything here (unusual for a Thai place, unnecessary for the flavor of Thai food, and it's NOT listed on the menu. So be careful!) Had I not asked, I would have ended up in the hospital with an epi pen in my thigh... so sorry to give this place 1 star as I really see the potential! Hopefully if you read this review in a few months, they will have changed things up :)

Large mixed seafood soup, spice level 5 ($10.95) - inedibly sweet.

Big space but we were in the front. Seems like it was an old Mexican Restaurant. We got seated right away. They had to clean off the table. We had to ask them to wipe it down because they did not. I didn't want food to come on a dirty table. Server was nice and answered questions on the menu. We ordered. I got the creamy soup appetizer and the nom nom cold noodles with goza. Both were great and delicious. The soup was hot and had lots of goza and veggies. The noodle bowl also had lots of fresh veggies and crispy. The dressing is a vinegary mix that cuts thru the fresh veggies. It pairs perfectly. The portion is a good size. I was stuffed and could not finish. I really wanted to though. If you are vegan this is a good spot for you. Lots of choices. Prices were pretty good and you got a good amount of food. The only issue was the not clean table we had to ask to get cleaned. And they did that. Oh and the bathroom was kinda messy too. So take that as you wish. But not a bad find.

The inside of the new restaurant is much bigger, but you have to wait quite a while to be served and for your food. There are a lot of windows so the inside is a little chilly in the winter. We have tried to order takeout on occasion and each time something has gone wrong or something was missing. The pad Thai had no sauce or flavor on it whatsoever. They also don't serve as big of portions anymore and took away the large size bowls. I'm not sure what happened between the restaurant moving locations, but I hope it can get back on track. This used to be our favorite place.

He made me a really good skinny margarita with Tajín rim, he even suggested good tequilas to try! The chips and guacamole were amazing! I was a little disappointed that they don't have a queso appetizer. I tried the beef sope which was pretty good. I got the Michoacán fajitas and even though he did tell me that they use some of their Thai sauce in them, I did not like it. It was very sweet and had a weird flavor. I much prefer traditional fajita seasoning, so keep that in mind when you are ordering. It is a very large portion for the price so expect leftovers! The beef was definitely overcooked and dry. Even though these items weren't marked as gluten free I assumed they were because I got corn tortillas but I did end up having a reaction so I should have clarified better before ordering. He let me try all the salsas - mild was no spice and honestly not much flavor, medium was very spicy and hot was basically inedible for me. I did not try the Thai food, but might if I am ever back in the area. As for ambiance there isn't much to be honest. The bar was sad. All the liquor just sitting on metal wire racks with no actual bar or shelves. The restaurant furniture all looks old and needs to be updated.

I failed to write a review of my dinner here last year but I enjoyed my sushi, I remember that! This year, my dinner was only so-so. Both years, however, the service wasn't great. So half of this large space is brightly lit while the other half is way too dark. Last year, our pictures were all bad since we sat in the dark half. This year, we sat in the well lit space and now I have okay pictures sort of haha. It was decorated for Christmas with lights and small decorations. This year, I ordered the tuna poke bowl ($24) which comes with a ginger salad and miso soup, as well as a rose tea ($5). The rose tea was very diluted. I was disappointed. Our absent waitress failed to stop by anytime within the first 20 minutes, so I had to flag down another server to replace the tea with something better, the lychee black tea which I did enjoy, although it contained caffeine, which I was trying to avoid. My boyfriend got two sushi rolls and was still hungry after he finished his rolls. Fortunately, another person didn't have an appetite that night and shared his food. It is still odd that $20 of sushi wasn't filling. In my opinion, the food is good but overpriced. They have a very good drink list with expensive wines to cheap teas. As many others have mentioned, the service was basic and not so attentive nor frequent, especially when I was desperate for new tea. Here's hoping for a better experience at our next holiday meal here!
