Amazing food, kind ambiance, and quick service. 5/5 would go every day if I could. I recommend their sesame shrimp.

Food and service is excellent but don't plan to dine in. We always take our orders home. My husband loves their hot and sour soup and their Egg foo young. I like their steamed veggies with either chicken or shrimp or both plus I always order a side of sweet-and-sour sauce. Their Rangoon's are to die for! We live in Granger and drive to Niles to get their food. read more

It's a local Chinese place, best one in Niles. It's not always the fastest, or best. But for our little town it's the best. They recently got new owners and the quality definitely slipped the first time we got them. Now I think they got their stuff together because it was real good when I got it recently. Time will tell if it's going to continue to be good. read more

I walk in and order 3 bourbon chicken combo. The Chinese man says 46 dolla. I give him 50 bucks. He yells 46 dolla then gives me my money back. Then he says want lunch instead, to get thru this I say sure. He says 28, I give him 30 bucks. He yells 28 dolla. I then yell I gave you 30 bucks. In his pissed off imbecile face he gave me my change. I won't be back. Hes a moron that shouldn't handle money. The food was soso... read more

Our tofu dishes came mixed with rotten/sour tasting tofu mixed in, and our whole family had gastro issues from the vegetarian dishes we ordered. Will not return or recommend. Owners refused a refund without seeing the food I'd already thrown away because I live 20 minutes away and couldn't return for several days. Disgusted and disappointed. read more

This was not very good. I ordered garlic chicken and it tasted like there was shrimp residue in it. I'm concerned that they don't clean the wok between dishes. My egg roll was bland and greasy. My husband's roasted barbecue pork tasted ok but some of the pork pieces tasted a bit rancid to me. I have had food from here many years ago and the food was good, this time it was pretty meh. Also the place needs some TLC - lots of wet ceiling tiles, grime on the floor, and the bathrooms were closed. I'd give them another shot if they cleaned up the restaurant. read more

As a first timer here, I was really impressed with the food. I got the large portions of the general Tso tofu and the bean curd with broccoli. The sauces were amazing and everything was cooked perfectly. Some things you should know, they're currently only open for take out and they have a $10 credit card minimum. Most of the dishes are under $10 so you'll have to bring cash if you're only ordering one dish. read more

Argued with us that we ordered incorrectly. All three people on the car heard we ordered combos and one large. The lady at the restaurant proceeded to argue that we ordered larges and she asked us about combos. She didn't. She rushed on the phone repeating items and said to come in 20. We said 3 combos and was repeated that. Extremely frustrating. This is the second time we have came in with this lady being rude to us. At least first time the order was right. Going to find another different place in South Bend area to eat out instead. read more

The Hot wok has good food good portions. But that's about it the ordering is real tough many customers were coming back trying to get their food right. Unfortunately the person taking the orders cannot speak or talk very good English. Tried my best to understand but ended up getting the food anyway. It did turn out pretty good but the place could use an upgrade and communication could be a little better. read more

Very friendly, fast service, good food at a reasonable price. Located near downtown area of Niles.

This was the only thing I ate in a day and a half. Got food poisoning. Don't eat here

There isn't much to choose from when it comes to Chinese food in the area, but thankfully this place is good. It's a little pricy but the portions are good. read more

I gave it a second shot because all my co-workers were getting lunch there. I ordered the same Hot n Sour soup which had zero hot and this time even less overall flavor. The sesame chicken was just so so. It wasn't bad but the sauce was a red color that Ive never seen before and it didn't taste like any other sesame chicken I've had. The chicken fried rice and fortune cookie were the best part of the meal. I still want to try it for a third and maybe final time to get a couple of appetizers (which is what I normally get from Chinese places). read more

Hands down the best Chinese in the area. Honey chicken is fire. Their Crab Rangoon very tasty.

This was takeout so we didn't notice until we got home. Husband called and told them. Said he wanted it was replaced and he would also buy another one. They said OK. He drove back there and they looked at him like they had no idea what he was talking about. Then just proceeded to ignore him until he left. read more

food, mediocre at best. the place needs some TLC and a window washer. we will not be going back.

I really like eating there. The food is very good and very fresh. The place is a little rundown but I really like the feel of it. I have taken so many pictures of this place. You can't beat the lunch specials for only a little over five dollars. That includes egg drop soup.My favorite food here is the chicken curry with rice and also the beef egg foo young. read more

This place is so great!! I had the fried dumplings and chicken lo mein! Totally coming back!

I was almost about to love this place...as a vegetarian, I ordered the bean curd with garlic sauce which was good...until I saw the remnants of a baby crab with my rice side dish, which I thought was cabbage or something at first, but a closer look showed the skin texture of the little creature. Some people might think that was a bonus, but I was grossed out. Unfortunately I don't think they do a good job of providing good clean food even when you order vegetarian. read more

It's okay. Had them last night. I think China One is way better. They will alter a dish to fit your specifications, but I think the overall flavor is just okay. Not bad... But not mind blowing either. read more

Nothing fancy, just your average Chinese food, no fusion, no added cuisines like Thai or mandarin. That said, we order takeout. The order is always complete, always timely and tasty. It's close by so convenient. Been waiting about 4 months to reopen after the flood. If you're looking for dependable, delicious Chinese food, this is the place! read more

I love this food so much flavor ! I have missed them since they have been shut down due to the flooding we had , but thank god they will be opening back up on Monday 6/9 / 18 can't wait! read more

Was really looking for some good chinese food and so I gave the positive reviews too much credence, should have paid more attention to the others. They evidently were closed for some time according to their FB site but can't see what work was done, its pretty run down. The food however is way more run down and unappealing than the decor. When I got home and tried it throwing it out seemed advisable. Shrimp toast was almost black it was so over fried, and the topping had a weird fishy taste, not at all like shrimp and on verge - if not over - of bad. Egg rolls were tasteless and very odd consistency. Like an overcooked hard shell with flat ingredients. Hot and Sour Soup was also horrible. tasteless and with halved button mushrooms. Really disappointed since some reviews mentioned how good they thought it was. A Szechuan dish was also tasteless, no spiciness which is mainstay of these dishes and meat had a grey color. Yech, blech and no thank you. read more

The food is a great value that will not disappoint. The best Crab Rangoon I have ever had. Great combination plate specials. Lunch is an even better value. You get plenty of good food here. Dinning IN don't expect much as far as decor. But either way carry out or dine in it's all about the food right? read more

We go here at least once a week! Haven't had anything that's terrible... They give u great portions and the food tastes great! We've told several friends and family and they all love it too! Try and see for your self! read more

Moo goo gia pan chicken with veggies light gravy. Easy simple and done to perfection. The lunch portion with the cup of egg drop soup was filling. My spouse ordered general tso chicken from the lunch meal menu just spicy enough. read more

Ordered and because I couldn't put 10$ on my card they had to eat it. Thats ridiculous rather than have me pay for the food by whatever means they wasted it!! Shame on them!! I will never go here again!!!! read more

Great food, best black pepper chicken.

Poor quality food and employees who don't seem to care about anything other than collecting money.

They used to have decent Chinese food now not so much and what's up with the nasty fake frozen fried dumplings? They need to stop being lazy and go back to making them the old way. Until then I won't be back. read more

Hot Wok is a hole in the wall restaurant with the absolute best Chinese around. General T'sos chicken is on point and pork fried rice is good too. Egg rolls.....I'll pass but best General T'sos around. If you haven't ate here and fancy some Chinese from time to time... you're missing out. read more

This is the best chinese place I have found thus far My Boyfriend is a regular here and took me here to try it out and its amazing. It's hot, traditional, and the portion sizes are huge so you'll have leftovers. (: read more

THIS is the only place I will ever go for Chinese food, and I have convinced many others to come here as well. My favorite item is the fried rice: doesn't matter what kind, it is the best I have ever had. General Tso is amazing, and we always order the crab rangoons. I LOVE the hot and sour soup. Best place for the cost as well: I can take my wife and grandchildren and spend under $30 and still have some to bring home. So happy they reopened after the massive St. Joe river flood that closed many businesses in the area in Feb of 2018. read more

We have been looking for a good chinese restaurant in the area and so far we had not found any until we came to Hot Wok! We have found the one!! We are vegetarian and this place can convert almost any plate into a tofu plate that is super delicious! We are only sad that we found it 4 years after arriving to Michigan! Delicious food! read more

What happened it used to be good. Hot and sour soup was nasty. Egg Rolls were cold General Tos's Chicken had uncooked batter lumps. The lady who took my order over the phone for pick up was rude rude rude. It appears that there is new ownership. Dumped my "Food" in the trash. won't be back. read more

I'm not sure why this place gets such rave reviews. The first time I was there, the rice was oily. Decided to give it a second try, and did take-out. Kind of dry, and not much taste to the food - about the same as the frozen meals you'd get in the supermarket and make for yourself. I won't go back. read more

This is hands down the best Chinese restaurant in the area if you're looking for a quick and delicious meal. I judge all other hot & sour soups off of theirs. You get large portions for the cost. The sirloin & scallions is very good. The first time we got the shrimp & broccoli we were amazed at how big the shrimp are. They use 16-20 shrimp in this dish. I'd easily pay $4 or $5 more for this. My wife loves their crab rangoons. I don't think we've had anything that wasn't good. It's definitely a go-to for us when neither of us feel like cooking. read more
