I love heat but they gave me a huge scoop of raw jalapeños with seeds an amount that I don't think many people would eat. I ate some of them and I counted over 30 more that I didn't eat! I ordered a spicy chicken warm bowl and what I got was a bland bunch of fatty steak (three pieces of steak were stuck together with a strip of fatty gristle) on some bland rice, mixed with spinach, sweet potato, spouts, and a spoon of chicken broth. I wanted to tell the person who put the steak on they made a mistake, but the line was long and I didn't want to start over. My wife loved her dish or I would have given this place a one. They have an awesome cold drink selection and although I wish they had an equally nice hot tea selection, the food makes up for the missing option. I've been waiting for a place like this to come to this area and to be in company with others like-minded to enjoy healthy and tasty options. Just can't say enough how thankful I am. Coming from Miami, Fl my food expectations were pretty low considering I spent most of my life eating at less than great restaurants throughout Northern Indiana. I went through the build your own bowl line and asked the lady working behind the counter if the ingredients I chose had nuts in it. I wanted to make sure that I wouldn't have anything cross contaminated as the menu has a few items that contain nuts. After the fourth or fifth time of me asking if an item had nuts in it the girl started to get annoyed and had an attitude with me. I have life endangering allergies to nuts. I can be around them I just can't ingest them. I ended up having an allergic reaction to my food and had administer my medication. When my husband and I told the ladies of our experience, we reassured them that we weren't angry and just wanted to make them aware that despite expressing my allergy concerns I was still given something with nuts in it. The lady who made my bowl said she didn't hear me ask about allergies and said that i probably could have but she didn't remember me asking about them. The manager was very nice and apologize and gave us a refund. I'm frustrated that my allergies weren't taken seriously. I understand that mistakes happen. I was more upset that the server got annoyed with my allergies than having an allergic reaction. Allergies are very serious and I ask about them repeatedly not because I want to annoy someone but because my life is endangered if they aren't taken seriously.
