Absolutely love Panera. Yesterday I had their chicken bacon ranch sandwich to go. It was fabulous, but they forgot the bacon. Disappointed in that, but still really good. I would love to try their other soups sometime, but I love their chicken wild rice soup so much that I have ordered that every time. Delicious! We have a sick teenager in the car where all I needed was a regular drink cup to put the chicken noodle soup in and instead the Panera employee (Dan-I think ;) ) took the cup and asked 1 of the cooks behind the counter to put broth in it so we didn't spill it in the car. I went thru the drive thru and ordered the Greek Salad with Chicken.When I went to pay it was $12+ dollars. I thought that was quite a bit for a salad. when I got home, I realized they had not packed the cup of Greek dressing. Disappointed. We were headed north for a long weekend in Michigan and I was on the hunt for a fast and healthy option not too far from the highway. I feel like I'm recent years Panera has lost their brand status as a soup, salad and sandwich establishment with lighter options due to trying to diversify their menu into other categories like pizza flatbreads and bowls reminiscent of what you can find at PF Changs. it's all about the soups, salads and sammies for us and that seems like plenty of options. We opted for the wild rice soup, Turkey chili, green goddess salad and a broccoli bowl. The food came out promptly and was plated well. The only hang up was that we found a decent sized piece of plastic in my husband's bowl. We decided not to make a fuss of it since we were in a rush and hitting the road. We have several issues with this Panera, first off, we don't buy bagels here any longer, consistently they have a poor selection and we have been told they no longer carry blueberry bagels! What bagel place wouldn't serve blueberry bagels?? We often go for dinner and order the chicken and rice soup, when its made right its quite tasty, but the majority of the time theres barely any chicken in it. We also ask for a baguette, one of us gets one that smaller than the other, again no consistency. The fireplace has not been functioning all winter season, the staff tells us it's broken but they don't know when it will be fixed. The dining room is sometimes a mess, I think they have insufficient staff. This is not the same Panera of years ago, it was much better in the old building across the street . We visit four to five times a month, always an issue. read more

I really want to like this Panera, truly I do. In fact I would eat here 2-3 times a week if they would supply enough dressing for the expensive salad, but It's a fight every time. My family likes to bring me lunch. I always order extra dressing, large dressing doesn't matter. Workers think the thimble is enough, maybe 2 thimbles if they're feeling generous. Hello, I visit your store on 1315 E Ireland Rd, South Bend, IN 46614 as a doordasher. My order to pickup was not ready. I asked about the order and was told it wasn't ready yet. The store was trying to contact customer on a incomplete order. Another supervisor came in and asked me to call the customer he can't get a hold of. Without completing my answer of no because they never answer me either. Not, that i wouldn't try. However, He cut me off and told me in front of everyone that if I can't than I can leave and never pickup orders at this store ever again. I went ahead and called customer, text customer and called doordash and we couldn't get ahold of anyone either. I tried explaining this to the manager and he flat out walked by me and ignored me. I tried again and he ignored me again and started whistling as he walked away. I spent over 30 minutes trying to appease the store manager. I feel that was unprofessional and I would like an apology. I had a terrible experience at Panera in Virginia. I was ordering on one of the tablets and once I was done putting my order in I paid using my cashapp card. At the end it asked for my name so they could call when my order would be done, but as I was putting my name in the tablet died. I went to tell the cashier that it took my money without completing my order and she told me that the order didn't go through and she could take my order at the register. later on when I looked at my Cash App, it said it paid for both of the orders. I told the cashier this and she told me to wait a couple hours and it should refund me. so, I waited a couple hours and it never refund me. So I told her again after the few hours and she told me I could leave a review and they might be able to give me my money back. She said she couldn't do much and that it should've already been refunded to me. I was in a rush so I had to leave since I was on a trip. so, when I got back from my trip, I contacted Panera on Facebook and they told me to wait 3-5 Business days and I should get my money back by then. I wait more than 3 to 5 business days and I still haven't gotten my money back. Cash app says that the order has been completed and Panera said that they couldn't do anything and I should contact The Panera I went to directly. but, since I was on a business trip, I was in a rush and I don't remember the one I went to because there's like a billion in Virginia so How could I remember that? I contacted Panera again telling them that I don't know the exact one and that the cashier literally said that they couldn't do anything about it. and Panera just ignored my replies. I need this money back because I spent $18 on an order I didn't even get and another extra $14 on food I did get. I just want a refund so I can spend my $18 on a way better place to eat at and also Panera is so expensive and overpriced for what reason? don't get me wrong, I love their cinnamon crunch bagels, but to scam me and ignore me when I'm trying to fix the problem is too much. Service was good and I always appreciate the manager putting time into his shop. He seems to really care. However I just got a broccoli cheddar soup with only broccoli bits in it, and it was as wet as a soup could get before becoming a beverage. Also got a chipotle chicken sandwich with half aged avocados . Had to peel them off because it doesn't seem they check their produce. Pulled a hair outa my soup last time I went too. The service is poor and no one cares. They put an untrained cashier by himself at the front by himself and do not monitor him to insure everything is ok. Customers are stacking up because the cashier does not know who to ask for help. You get to place your order....finally.... The kitchen staff do not let you know your order is ready. Been to this location many times with no issues but had issues this time. Ordered via the app - which obviously did not work but worked well enough for them to charge my credit card 4 times! As soon as I saw this, within an hour, I called the manager who was aware that this happened often & assured me not to worry - the charges would be reversed in 48 hours. It has now been 96 hours & the charges have not reversed. We also wanted placed the order to be delivered to our car- nice during COVID but did not find out to communicate what spot we were in so had to go inside anyway. But good thing we did b/c the forgot our dessert portion of the order. So just beware if you use the app as it does not function properly & may tie up some of your funds. read more

I called and the manager knew who i was right away and offered to refund me or remake it. I asked to please have it remade. I love Panera food! The Mediterranean chicken and quinoa salad is ridiculously healthy and ridiculously good! This Panera location does not suffer on quality of food. The location is surrounded by some great shopping, coffee and other restaurants. The only downside is that the atmosphere is not a good as other locations I have visited for studying/working. It is very open with fewer booths and more open tables. But other than that, you can't go wrong! read more

This Panera is hit or miss. Typically a miss if ordering To Go (via online ahead of time) - my experiences are a 50/50 accuracy on my orders. Also, they NEVER have fresh coffee - it's always an hour or longer from brew time. Tip to Management: You will not be successful if you cannot keep your existing customers. Keep the coffee fresh & orders accurate; you will be surprised how often customers will keep coming back with two of the most simplest tasks!! read more
