Great sandwich shop! The Scoobie was delicious and the cheesecake was excellent. The cookie was great too. Super friendly staff.

Scoobies is the only local sub shop in town and it is so much better than any chain. The service is fast and the staff is always so nice. I call in my order ahead so it's waiting for me when I walk in. It's about $10 for a 6 ish inch sub loaded with meat plus chips and a pickle. Great local business to support. Since it is a small family run business, make sure to follow their facebook for unforeseen closures!

Sando s are awesome. Where did you go? Did they move locations? Owners are nice and make good sandwiches. Taking care of Mishawaka for years! Now if I could only get them to deliver to ND. Chill and friendly spot for lunch.

When you're down and out in Mishawaka, and you're looking for a place to eat on a monday and wondering why every other restaurant is totally closed..... Head on down to the Scooby's and they got you covered. They do have a fairly extensive menu for being a tiny little diner, but the quality of the food isn't great. It's average to just below average. You can look at all the "memorabilia" while you wait. There's a Rolling Stone section as well as one for Tom Petty, and I see a Marilyn and Dean over there somewhere. Service? No service, and I meant it when I said be nice to the person who takes your order at the counter....

Hangover Burger off the special menu.

Yeah, I did a Grubhub order and I gave very specific instructions on everything that I needed…read morebecause I have a broken back, a sinus infection and a viral infection so I end up with a guy banging on my door demanding a code that I never received which is not taphouse on the edge's fault, but I requested very specific things like a sandwich be cut in half and crispy, tater tots and extra napkins and etc., etc. and receiving none of it and I went so far to call the restaurant to let them know about it and the manager pretty much said well there's not much we can do about it or that was the attitude so I said I'll never order from you again and I won't. Because my order is wrong and it's their fault. It's called accountability. I will never order this again from this restaurant. Or anything from this restaurant again based on the way that they didn't make it right. I even went so far to call back a second time and got excuses as to why they include onion, tomato and lettuce in an order that is excluded on tomato, onion, and lettuce. Onion makes me sick and everything had an onion flavor to it so I spent $20 at Grubhub to not have dinner and when I tried to explain that to the manager, she said well so many people get upset because it says that it comes with that. So I told her I said that's fine. I told her that I'm got these things going on and it's not her fault the Grubhub delivery driver isn't her fault, but the reason that the order was wrong on several different levels, not cut in half no mail on the sandwich not extra pickles not extra napkins, not extra salt, etc. etc. and everything tasted like onions so of course I don't wanna eat it and I got excuses so I told her I won't use her restaurant again and she said OK. I would recommend that she don't go there because they don't fix things when they screw them up. I have no intention of ordering or going to that restaurant ever again. And it's funny because my nephew used to work there and I used to love the place. Well I guess I'm done with it.

The meat arrives dry, tired, and joyless, like it's been reheated emotionally as well as physically. Each bite feels less like a meal and more like an obligation. Smoke without flavor, seasoning without purpose, and textures that make you wonder if the kitchen has ever experienced moisture. The sauces don't enhance anything, they just sit there, confused, desperately trying to distract you from the fact that the food underneath is beyond saving. For the prices they charge, you'd expect something memorable. And it is memorable, just not in the way they're hoping. You'll remember how much you paid, how little you enjoyed it, and how fast you wished you'd gone literally anywhere else. This is the rare restaurant where you regret ordering while you're still chewing. The atmosphere tries to sell "rustic farm charm" but delivers "neglected barbecue joint that mistook vibes for effort." It's not cozy, it's not charming, and it certainly isn't worth planning a meal around. I wish I could give this place ZERO stars. The Prized Pig isn't just bad barbecue, it's aggressively mediocre, which somehow feels worse. If you value flavor, money, or happiness, do yourself a favor and keep driving. This is not a destination. It's a warning.

My boyfriend and I were feeling silly in June 2026 and wanted ice cream for brunch so decided to go here after a quick search on Yelp. Inside felt like a mix of Grease, Pleasantville, and the Fallout TV show with tin lunchboxes, pictures of classic cars, and cheeky signs decorating every square inch of the inside. While waiting for our food, we hummed along to the music of the 1950s and 1960s playing on the speakers from the same Sirius XM station my parents listen to. Some artists we heard during our lunch there included The Ronettes, Elvis, The Bobettes, The Crests, and The Temptations! Since we both ordered "baskets," we got our sandwiches with fries and a soda. My boyfriend got the green river phosphate soda and I got a diet root beer. His phosphate was so bright neon green that it definitely stood out! We only waited about 5 minutes for our food but that was still enough time to look around the place and listen to some of the orders being placed by cars over the speakers as well as flip through an early 2000s book on some of the must visit hamburger restaurants in the USA. See attached picture for a screenshot of that list. Now, my grilled pb and banana sandwich was a decent size. Not too big and actually reflecting the portion sized people in the 1950s used to eat! The prices reflected the "small-ish" portions as well as we only paid $7.99 for my basket and his was $10.99. The white toast was heavily buttered and the pb was creamy. I would have preferred crunchy pb for texture reasons. The crinkle fries needed salt but they hit the spot! The food itself wasn't anything special but the vibes were perfect! After eating our real food, we then got our heavily anticipated bowls of sugar upon sugar. My bf's medium tin roof sundae was quite large and indulgent ($4.99). But I definitely went hard in indulging. I treated myself to the classic cars sundae ($5.99) with a scoop of birthday cake and caramel moose tracks with strawberry syrup topping. I laugh cried when it came out, I was so happy! It was sooooo much sugar. The total with cash was about $32 and with credit card, it was $33.34 as there is a 4% fee for using a card. I left 40 bucks in cash for the meal and the tip. Then we left and I immediately died of a sugar rush. The end!
