Good handicap access. The decor is straight out of 1970, dont care about that. Place was clean. I had the sweet and sour chicken and my sister had 2 pc chicken dinner. We were the only dine in table although there were about half a dozen pickup orders. Our table was 6 feet from the counter but she set the soda cups on the counter and we had to retrieve them. Then when the styrofoam boxes arrived she also dropped them on the counter and we had to retrieve them too. There was a rack of silverware in sight but we each got only a plastic fork. The food quantity was adequate for the price. My sweet and sour chicken had a pink sauce which was neither sweet nor sour, it was just...there. My sister's chicken was ok but a bit dry. We each had "grecian" green beans which was nothing but canned green beans. We each also got a roll and a cold butter pat but only our plastic forks to split the rolls and apply the butter. Overall, filling enough and not too expensive but nothing to get excited about. The one unisex restroom was closed, nowhere to wash up before eating. read more

The Gyro was "meh". That is NOT tzatziki sauce my friends. I'm not sure what salad dressing it was, but it wasn't tzatziki. The ribs were not good. I think they were pre-boiled or something. My Indiana friends and family insisted that we get off the farm and head to this favorite take out spot. I waited outside due to Covid concerns. It's a pretty plain Jane storefront with parking. I enjoyed the chicken wings and fries. Not the best thing I ever ate but a solo dos meal. I'll definitely sample more of the menu next family trip. This was my mom's go to spot, when she was hosting a gathering at home. Their chicken is very good. The owners are wonderful and friendly.

I have lived in Elkhart all my life and finally made a stop here for lunch. Definitely wasn't impressed. Hubby and I had gyro's. Mine was the chicken version. It was very bland and you could here them heating up the meat in the back in the MICROWAVE!!! It was gross and dry. Decor is out dated, but I didn't mind. It was a nice throw back . However, we will come back to try the chicken I have heard so much about. The location was clean. Staff/owner didn't seem to care that we were there. Hopefully, it goes better next time we are there. read more

Food is good and prices are cheap. This restaurant is a true mom and pop shop. A Greek style restaurant with a host of options. The owners work the grill and the register. Seating is available if you want a truly private meal. If you would like to digress from big burger chains, this place is for you. read more

We hadn't been to Andy's for while, so we ordered some broasted chicken the other night. Oh my, we had forgotten how wonderful it is. Hot, juicy, crispy. Perfect! And the broasted potatoes are great as well. So today my wife wanted more Andy's for lunch. Mixing it up a little, we ordered fish dinner and a tenderloin sandwich and fried rice. Andy's is definitely the epitome of a no-frills, mom and pop restarant, with the emphasis being on NO-FRILLS. The entire appearance of this restarant is extremely basic, dated and could really use a makeover. Yet Andy's is a fairly popular well respected restarant in the area, and is known for their Broasted chicken, which is very popular. Strangely, unlike other restaurants that are designated into a category, I'm not sure what type of restarant a person would classify Andy's as being? They serve a random variety of food, ranging from classic All-American style, to Greek, and Chinese. One Greek menu option they serve that not all Greek/Mediterranean restaurants serve is Spanakopita, which sounded good, but I decided to order their prized Broasted chicken. When my chicken meal arrived, my entire meal was piping hot, and I could tell my food came straight out of the fryer!!!! This was a very good sign. I love restaurants like this that make food fresh to order. When I tasted my food especially my chicken it was delicious. Crispy, fried texture on the outside and juicy, tender, delicious chicken meat on the inside. Just the way fried chicken should be. My overall meal was great. The rating I'd give this place based on the food alone is a solid 5. However, since I dined in and atmosphere does factor into a person's enjoyment of their food, due to the appearance and atmosphere of the restarant I have to subtract a star. On the positive side, regardless of the restaurant's appearance and atmosphere their food speaks for itself, and not only do I recommend Andy's I'd also return. My wife and daughter wanted Burger King but being fairly new to the area I suggested this place. I ordered the regular gyro which was dry and portion very small and wife ordered chicken gyro which was like rubber. Chicken strips and fry were sub par. I'm wondering if this place is known strictly for the boasted chicken. The lady wasn't very friendly either. I wouldn't waste my money unless it's the boasted chicken your going for. read more

Not good!!! gyro meat was like it was left over from 2 months ago! Bought a tea out of cooler and it was 9 months out of date. Picked up a new menu and immediately through it out!! Will not be back. Holy time warp! Walking into this place had me wondering what business was like when it originally opened. The checkered flooring, orange booths and neon light fixture on the wall, old style shake machine and freezer was all very neat and made me contemplate another era. I appreciate the fact they kept it original and kept it up well. The food was actually pretty good and the woman at the counter was very nice. I ordered the fish platter with fries and green beans and was happy that it all tasted so clean and was cooked well. Not greasy at all! Don't go here if you are hungry. I got the chicken gyro for $7 with tax. The Styrofoam container weighed more than the sandwich. It only had 4 very thin slices of chicken. I also asked for a small cup of ice and was told that it cost fifty cents extra. I would have been better off getting two 0.99 cent cheese burgers from McDonald's. The sandwich was not anything I would ever order again maybe for 0.99. I'm sure it only cost them 0.50 to make the sandwich. read more
