Saw this gem on our walk to the space needle and decided to walk back and try it out, best decision ever! The pho reeled us in but I opted for the Meekong Banh Mi Burger as I've never had a fusion burger and can confidently say it's the best burger I've ever had! The pho was also delicious, but seriously, try the burger! We'll definitely be back when we're back in the city :) read more

Had high hopes for a fusion place in Belltown. I was VERY DISAPPOINTED. I left a $4.50 tip and days later find out that they charged me $14.50 for the tip. The total bill was $34 so my credit card company flagged it and informed me. Yay for Capital One! I had the receipt from the restaurant so I double checked it, then proceeded to call the restaurant to complain. Here's where it gets worse. I spoke to the manager, Ellen, she was super apologetic and said that the same waiter, Alex, had also overcharged others and that he no longer worked there. So, I emailed her my receipt for proof and she informed me that she would refund the whole tip. She invited me to the grand opening and said it would be taken care of...that was 3/4/16. On 3/11/16, I emailed again because there was no refund. Ellen stated that she "told the bank to do a refund on the card a while back." She offered cash but I'm not going back in. Its now 3/22/16, plenty of time for the bank to issue the refund, so I am disputing the charge from my end to finish off this issue. Good intentions, no follow through. Food was ok, def americanized asian kinda food...2.5 to 3 stars. I had the Pork & Egg Roll Vermicelli and the best part was the fresh greens, rest of it was ok. My daughter had the shrimp & green beans, shrimp was less than, we didn't eat them but green beans and sauce were decent. They lose a star for a dishonest waiter, and another star because there was no follow through with my situation. Ellen was sweet and seemed like she was going to do the right thing, but I saw no execution...it should have been fixed within days. I will not be back, too many other places to go in Belltown. read more

We came here because it was around the corner from our Airbnb. We all ordered beef pho and it was really good. The broth had a good flavor and the beef was very tender. I'm extremely picky and hate the fat or chewy pieces but there was none of that. read more

I came in at 11:30 for lunch and was promptly seated. Service was attentive without helicoptering. This is the first place in town I was able to find satay pho and I was stoked!! It was absolutely delicious and the beef was tender too. I'll have to come back for the mala pho. I did come away with a vicious headache and mouth numbness that I get from eating too much sodium and msg but I guess that's just what you gotta endure to get so much flavor! read more

It was Déjà vu walking into here. My date and I were wandering around Belltown looking for something to eat after the Chihuly Glass Museum and decided on MeeKong because it was new and had good reviews. Right when I stepped into the place I realized I had been in that same restaurant a year ago, but it was Twisted Pasty. But Twisted Pasty is no more, now it is MeeKong Bar. Anyways, it was Sunday night and not busy. We were able to pick whatever table we wanted. We ordered: - Pork Vermecilli - Mango tofu salad My salad was good, I wasn't really hungry. I tried a bite of his pork and it was tasty. This is a Viet Fusion kinda place. I will have to try their bahn mi burger next time. read more

My family is a huge fan of its sister restaurant, Mekong Village in north Seattle and we love the fusion at their new place. We were looking for some pho while here on vacation for the week. One of us is a pho obsess-er and one has not had it much(me!). I chose this place because it had apps and burger options as well. Good call as I had the pork belly bao bun which was delicious and the veggie spring rolls. Followed up with vegetarian pho with tofu and veggie broth as well as a beef pho. The vegetarian pho was spicy and delicious and got rave reviews. I, as a non pho aficionado, liked the beef but did not eat it all as those bowls are big, yo. When asked for a box, I declined(as we're traveling) and the waitstaff were genuinely concerned if I didn't like the meal. I appreciated their concern and reiterated that I just couldn't finish it. The staff at this place is beyond amazing and part of the great experience. Attentive and friendly. The restaurant decor is not overly done, but simple, clean, and pleasant. And judging from the number of Tuesday night takeout patrons---this is a popular place! read more

ADDITIONAL UPDATE: Please, please, please learn what an appetizer is! We continually ask for our BnB sliders to come out before our Pho, it is after all an appetizer....never once has that happened! It's either brought out WITH or after!? Sorry but that's ridiculous. Appetizers are served before the entree!! UPDATE-- We still like this place, however after several weeks and attempts they are not consistent in Pho temperatures. Some weeks it's on point, and some weeks it's too cold and my meat will stay too rare. This is really great pho. Great atmosphere too! My husband and I have eaten here 3 times in the past couple of weeks. They're accommodating to my request for added broccoli to my pho (I love veggies in my pho). We had their sliders the other day as well which were really great too. My only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is I wish their broth had a little more seasoning to it and it can be a little salty at times. read more

Highly recommend this place!!! If I could rate this place a higher star, most definitely would. Our service and our servers were super nice and friendly. The atmosphere was very welcoming. The beef pho was very delicious. Reminds me of my moms pho our friends had the chicken pho and a couple of house special vermicelli noodle dishes and they absolutely love it. We would definitely be visiting this place again SOON!! PS. don't forget to order the cafe sua da!!! read more

We liked everything!!! The meekong burger was delicious, the pho hit the spot, the sauce for our fried calamari was delicate and tasty. The food came pretty fast. We went there on a Sunday for lunch and chose to sit in a booth that felt pretty intimate. The vegetables inside the bahn mi burger were fresh and crunchy. I recommend this place. read more

Fusion asian restaurant with a nice vibe inside. They have items like pho, banh mi burgers, etc and they're make with a twist. I got the NW cod banh mi burger and it basically tastes like banh mi but looks like a typical American burger. The fries that came with are delicious. The service was great as they were able to split bills for a group of 7. read more

Very impressed with this place! The interior was nicely decorated and the service was prompt :) The pork bun appetizer was a bit small for what it cost, but that's to be expected of most appetizers. The ma la pho was LOVELY. read more

I RARELY give 5 stars coming from a customer service background. The service was great! It's seat yourself. The server was really friendly and gave solid recommendations for his fav items... do the way down to tea flavors. The ambiance is great for a Vietnamese place. It's much more seattle trendy. This place was the old brewery place so its got a nice boutique setup and a patio. Great for people watching or large parties in the back. The food was great! I got chicken satay vermicelli without noodles and more veggies. We also got a burger, which hands down is in my top three burgers in seattle. It's a great asian fusion burger. We also got oolong tea, a Mannys beer, and grannys pork belly bao (similar to a pork bun). The menu is beyond creative! From curries to burgers to pho! Food service was fast but not rushed. I will be back!! Thank you! read more

I actually wanted to get brunch at a restaurant in Belltown but (of course...) I didn't make reservations, so by the time we realized the wait would be 90+ minutes I turned to my trusty Yelp app to see what amazing eateries were nearby. To our luck, MeeKong was only 3 minutes away from where we were standing. MeeKong is your true Vietnamese restaurant with the hanging bead curtains and an endearing touch of Seattle. I feel like no restaurant in town goes without exposed lightbulbs and funky bathrooms. Bathrooms--you have to check out the ones at this restaurant. The men's bathroom has Sherlock Holmes (or so my boyfriend tells me...) written from wall-to-wall in chalk, and the ladies'? None other than Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice. A personal favorite of mine from high school AP Literature. :-) We ordered the bánh mì burgers: the MeeKong burger (beef patty) and the Double G aka The Ga Ga burger (chicken). Both sandwiches came with pickled daikon & carrot, tomato, lettuce, and wasabi aioli. The Double G was a messy one, but every bite was worth it. I'll be honest and say you can skip the sriracha fries for the extra $0.50. Didn't really get a kick out of the sriracha powder. The waiter got my order mixed out with my boyfriend's where he ended up with my sriracha fries...which was totally fine by me! You can also skip the Vietnamese coffee. They didn't give enough condensed milk, which is what ca phe sua da is all about! Loved the atmosphere and location of this restaurant. Our waiter was also very attentive and friendly. Will definitely come back for more bánh mì burgers! read more

I live down the street from Meekong Bar so we order from here all the time! The wait for pick-up is never too long and it's a lot of yummy in my tummy. I'm a huge fan of the vermicelli bowl with shrimp and string beans. It's not on their menu anymore (which makes no sense because it's delicious!), and was never on their menu for as long as I've been ordering from there, but they still make it. It's delicious! Good portion size, a decent amount of shrimp, a good amount of string beans, and the flavors are always on point. If they ever get rid of it, I'm going to be devastated because I'm just not into the other dishes as much! 5 stars for the shrimp, string bean vermicelli bowl, and then docking a star because the food isn't always ready when they say it'll be and the other food is delicious, but not as mind-blowing! read more

The happy hour wings, spring roll were a great introduction. Soon after onto the entree, my wife got the chicken pho which was ok... nothing out of the ordinary but the curry chicken was great. Perfect spice & flavors! read more

3+ actually but don't have the rating option... The Vietnamese burger (Mee Kong) is pretty good, actually really good. Apparently the buns are made fresh at restaurant. My wife ordered the pad Thai and the two of us were not impressed (looks just like pad Thai from Thai restaurant but has different taste). Our friend ordered the pad Thai as well and she said it was okay (although she admitted that she is easy to please and she didn't really come close to finishing her plate). Service and ambiance average Note: An appetizer dish for my other friend never came out...my friend asked the restaurant to cancel the order since everybody finished their meal (I did not take this incident into account before giving my overall rating)... Overall - I think this place is worth a try ...but I probably won't be coming back on next trip to Seattle. read more

Went there with a coworker for lunch since the pho place that was recommended to us (Green Leaf) was a bit of a trek aways. So we decided to forgo that trek and try this spot. Pho is the beloved soup of Vietnam and to see it delivered with such poor poor service along with such a watered down overpriced small bowl that didn't come with the typical slice of lime, condiments, and veggies is an absolute atrocity. In addition to this, my coworker was debating between the vermicelli bowl or chicken pho, eventually deciding on the latter as the server waited to take our order, but the server came out with the vermicelli bowl and told him that THIS is what he ordered. Incredibly rude. I do not recommend this place at all!!! Had Local Pho, a few blocks over, not had a line extending out the door, we would have gone there or to the recommended Green Leaf Restaurant a bit of a trek aways. We paid the price. As a Vietnamese man having grown up eating this, this hot water should not pass as pho. read more

This is quality stuff. Some of the best pho I've ever had. Great portion, the meat is quality, the broth is fresh and flavorful, veggies are fresh and cooked perfectly, and the rice noodles are the best I've ever had. 10/10 pho. I come almost once a week. Very good pho but pho is almost always good. The beef was tender and broth was very good. Definitely worth trying. The burger - wow!!! Not at all what you expect but man it is goooooood! It has a different kind of asian flavor. Super tasty and cooked perfectly. I usually pick around the bun but the bun here was really good. Super soft and light. I hate to compare it to a McDonalds bun because the flavor is so much better but it was just as light an airy. Full bar is always good. read more

Excellent bun bo hue and pho and OH MY GOSH their fried chicken wings were not enough to share they were so good! Get them and you will be pleased . Don't count your costs bc Seattle is expensive everywhere l, especially close to downtown . I could definitely use more than 5 wings in an order but again , if I had to buy the wings and make it myself , I would opt for paying for the convenience of a clean kitchen . Bun bo hue or spicy beef noodles were a hit and tasted flavorful and authentic. I wished it had the traditional coagulated pigs blood and pig foot though but I can assume why they didn't . My 7 year old son even ate some hot spicy beef noodle soup. I would come back again and dined in since ordering take out, service was very good !! It's close to walking distance to Seattle center I would say in a pretty part of town . read more

Went with my gf and had the most disappointing burger of my life. Got the Mekong burger, and Wayyy to many veggies, and all in large chunks not conducive to eating. The house made brioche buns were extremely dry and fairly tasteless, and even the sauce slathered on did nothing to help. Could not taste the daikon at all. The meat was a weird consistency, and just tasted kinda bad; charred on the outside and very lacking. We ordered the fries, and they were fine, but the sriracha fries had nacho cheese powder dumped on top, and was really pretty gross. Not even a hint of sriracha. The garlic chicken had a great crunch to it, and was pretty good-my only issue it that it wasn't really garlicky, but still definitely a high point in the meal. Similarly, both the lychee lemonade and the thai ice tea were delicious. Unfortunately, the overall pretty gross burger was the failure point of the meal. Both the service and the ambiance was pretty good, though the crystal netting has bits of food stuck to it- not exactly what you want next to your face. It was 55$ for 2 burgers, a side and 2 NA drinks, pretty standard for the Belltown area. All in all, wouldn't recommend there burgers. Maybe stick with the pho. read more

On our way to another place- which was closed- we saw this place, and walked over. So glad it worked out that way. I've neve liked restaurant pho. My wife spoilt me for home made. But this was sooooo good! They even offer a burger, which must have been great. The little one devoured it all. I enjoyed the Satay chicken bowl. Almost forgot the friendly staff! Amazing food at reasonable prices. Pork belly bao was our favorite among the several great dishes we had.

Super bad service and attitude. Did not even offer forks/trop-sticks, nor stew for water and napkins, no one even came to check. I think you can finish the meal with your bare hands, and leave without paying a penny and they won't bother! read more

My friend wanted to come to this place for lunch. Since it was cloudy and colder, pho sounded like a sure thing. We didn't have to wait and it wasn't so busy. There was what looked like one waiter. He handled things pretty well considering it got busier as we were there. We ordered the garlic wings and shrimp spring rolls to start. The roll on one of the shrimp rolls was extremely tough.. like they didn't soak them in water long enough before rolling. The garlic wings had a good crunch and they weren't floured which I appreciated. They weren't very garlicky though. For our mains, I ordered the beef pho and my friend ordered a tofu dish. The broth was pretty flavorful. Pho is one of my favorite bowls and I hate when you get a bad broth. It was a tad salty, but once I put a little Sriracha and hoisin sauce, it was better. My friend enjoyed hers, but they forgot her egg. That was quickly fixed. We were there for a good hour and a half. The waiter was friendly the whole time. Overall the place was pretty solid. I liked that they had a lot of options that were clearly marked gluten free on the menu. Great if you suffer from allergies like me. I'd come here again if I was in the area and craving some pho. read more

Walked in for a late lunch. Dining room was empty but service was slow. Had the pork buns which were disappointing as the pork belly was mediocre and skimpy on the plum sauce. Had a fried cod with turmeric vermicelli bowl. The cod was excellent. The vegetables in the bowl very very fresh and included shiso leaves which was unusual for me. My friend had a banh mi burger and he enjoyed it. In sum this will not be my first choice in the future but I won't cross it off my list. read more

It was good. Not a burger place like it says on yelp. My Bahn mi burger was good-a little dry-Not juicy or enough sauce. It was like a Vietnamese meatball on a bun, not a baguette- like the name assumes. The veggies were fresh but not as pickled as I wished. It would have been better in pho.. Crab wantons were delicious as were the egg rolls. My wife really liked their vermicelli bowl. Very fresh. If you really like Vietnamese food, this place might be a disappointment. read more

I am an absolute sucker for their Spicy Satay Beef Pho. It's got a subtle sweetness that comes from the pineapple and tomatoes they mix in, and the broth is incredibly hearty with a noticeable thickness that I love. It is the dish that keeps me coming back here because I haven't found anything quite like it anywhere else around me. I will say that the quality of the beef leaves something to be desired, but I don't think it takes away from the overall experience of the dish. I'm also a fan of their Village Bowl and Pork Belly Bao. The former is a Vermicelli bowl topped with a massive medley of meats and the latter is a sweet and fatty BBQ pork bun that just melts in your mouth. Both are excellent. I'm reluctant to give a perfect 5-star rating because I feel that aside from a select few dishes, the rest of the menu items are nothing to die for. Certainly not bad, but the other Pho choices and Bahn Mi Burgers for instance are what I would consider run-of-the-mill Asian bar food quality. Overall, it's a great place to grab a casual meal with some friends and have a drink while enjoying Vietnamese food and watching some sports. read more
