Classic latte with whole milk, this is perfection and hits the spot every time! Warm notes in their coffee, perfectly roasted and wraps you in like a cozy hug. Cozy Austin vibes atmosphere, local art displays on the wall. One of my favorite spots for coffee.

A Consistent and Reliable Plain Latte If you're a latte lover, this place delivers perfection every time. The foam has a pleasant roasted coffee note, not too liquid or too foamy, just the right consistency. It's rare to find a coffee shop where every cup is consistently great. Even their iced lattes maintain fantastic flavor without foam, which is impressive. The space has a cozy vibe with art displays on the walls and seating both inside and outside. The staff is kind and warm--you can tell they make coffee with love. Just a heads-up: if you show up too late on weekends (around 9 or 10 AM), their pastries often run out. The punch card is a bit of a scam--getting a free drink after 10 doesn't feel as rewarding since the prices keep going up. Still, the coffee is fantastic, and I'll definitely be back--just gotta get there early for the pastries!

Great coffee. I got a cappuccino. They made a perfect about of foam. the foam was rich in structure and very tasty somehow. The espresso taste is recognizable. No or very little acidic-after-taste. I didn't come here to work or study but everyone else has a laptop with them. I assume the internet connection is good enough here. It's very cute inside with many seatings. Overall a very decent coffee shop. I'll be back when I'm in the area.

Five stars for the good energy & atmosphere first and foremost, followed by the solid drinks and helpful, friendly staff. I'd come back again for sure!

Matcha and iced latte

Highly suggest for a perfect coffee, I got a matcha latte and it's the best i've had in awhile. Friendly employees and nice atmosphere if you're looking for somewhere to work.

Beans you can buy!

I have heard and seen the name around Austin and finally had the chance to try it. I bought a hazelnut latte with almond milk and some beans to bring home. The drink was so smooth and so worth it. I made a shaken iced drink with the beans and it was amazing as well! The staff has been so sweet and I'm looking forward to coming more.

This place is cute because it feels like a cozy home in a small town neighborhood. This location definitely has more of the wooden feel to it so it gives off a more vintage vibe. If you're looking for more modern feel then I suggest the South Lamar or Springdale location. Parking is limited here but luckily there's neighborhood parking if you don't mind walking a block down. I came here on a Tuesday at 1pm and I couldn't find parking at their lot. The coffeeshop is not very big either but I like that there are outside seatings! It's great on a nice day out. The barista was very friendly when I took a few seconds to decide what I really want to order. They also have pastries in the front that really lures your taste buds. The pricing is different than what I saw on Yelp so just to update, I got a cappuccino for $3.93 and comes out to be $4.25 after taxes and I love even numbers. It comes with a little piece of treat so that's a nice touch!

Coffee was tasty, nice environment. We also enjoyed the common area connecting the shops which adds extra seating possibilities.

They do an impressive assortment of drinks from Turkish, Saudi with Coffee, saffron, cardamom, Lattes, Pour Overs, French Press, Cold brew iced coffee and many other drinks! And did I mention their handmade desserts? Lots of choices. I decided on a Pistachio Latte and a slice of Pistachio cheesecake to compliment it. It was stupendous. The latte was perfectly delicious- creamy nutty not too sweet and just the perfect temperature. The cheese cake was decadent, sweet, creamy and just a perfect blend. So good! The Baristas were fun to watch create drinks, very precise, professional and caring about doing their best job. After we ordered we took a table and to our surprise, they delivered the drinks and desserts to our table. Very nice service and a charming and positive staff. I definitely recommend them and can't wait to go back for more!

Open later than most coffee shops, especially in this deserted part of town. Varied drink menu, both caffeinated and not caffeinated, including refreshers. Nice creative variety of desserts (including a Biscoff cake!) and a kolaches case. At one point the brought some hot baked dessert (looked like a whole coffee cake) out the oven and it smelled like heaven. The bad: Nothing vegan or healthy, not even pre-made cold sandwiches or packaged salads. If you are a little peckish for a healthy snack, this is not the place. The coffees: They have all the regular espresso drinks, and also Turkish coffee and of course Yemeni, their specialty. I had heard great things about Yemeni coffee and was exciting to try it. My first drink, a traditional coffee drink called Jubani ($6) contained coffee but was watery like a tea. It had also ginger and cinnamon. I was not expecting it to be like a tea. I immediately told the cashier I didn't like the drink and would like just an Americano, double shot espresso. I was charged $9 for a 12 oz cup. No cream or sugar, no added flavorings. If I were in charge I wouldn't have charged for this second drink, since it comes at almost zero cost to them and would show good faith and ensure repeat business. Disappointingly, the Americano was also watery and sort of "lemony", but I still drank half while sitting with my friend. I'll say that my friend had some sort of an iced latte that she enjoyed. I might try a second visit and order a Turkish coffee, but I will make sure to have had a full meal before.

While exploring the many museums across the University of Texas campus, a quick caffeine break was needed for my girlfriend and we were overwhelmed by the number of options on The Drag. It makes sense that there are plenty of places to choose from because of the large number of UT students. Everyone needs a little coffee in their lives. One of the highest reviewed ones with a large pool of ratings was Lucky Lab Coffee and after checking a few quick reviews, we decided to give it a chance. Lucky Lab has five locations in Austin (four on campus) and one location in Dripping Springs. The one we were at off The Drag was their flagship. This location serves a little bit of everything from sandwiches to pastries, salad to quiche, and of course, coffee. As we walked inside the flagship, it is easy to notice how tight the space is. There is very little seating inside at their bar, but they make up for it with plenty of shaded outdoor space that is perfect for a nice day. Scanning their menu, we landed on some drinks from their winter menu. I was intrigued by their Pomegranate Rosemary Latte while my girlfriend tried their Ginger Spice Mocha. We got them both iced. First, it is interesting to see the fusion of pomegranate and rosemary in a latte. I was intrigued by those flavors. Their drink sizes are 12 oz, 16 oz, and 20 oz, each adding an additional 50 cents to each upgrade. All milk alternatives cost 1 dollar. It was only a short wait to get our coffees and the cup with the little lab on it was cute. I think specialty drinks have an opportunity to be amazing and one of a kind or the worst drink imaginable. This pomegranate rosemary latte did not fall into either category exactly, but leaned more toward the latter. I love pomegranates and I always appreciate how earthy rosemary can be in a coffee. One of my favorite lattes I have ever had has rosemary in it. This was just not working for me. I shamefully did not finish my coffee. As for my girlfriend, she did not like her ginger spice mocha. I could not imagine gingerbread syrup not working in a mocha, but after trying it myself it was not for me either. It seems like a perfect match, but here the gingerbread is competing with the chocolate and instead of complementing each other they clash. She told me that the flavors were "un-mocha like". She drank less than half of her coffee before tossing it as well. Neither of us wanted to dislike Lucky Lab. They seem well established and I felt like they were trustworthy based on reviews, but I wonder what these previous reviewers were tweaking on or what magical concoction of coffee granted from heaven above they were sipping on because we were distraught by how disappointing these drinks were. I would like to give Lucky Lab Coffee Co the benefit of the doubt and say that maybe the specialty drinks were not up to par with their traditional beverages. However, the almost 30 different syrup options on their wall make me feel they lack a little focus and try too hard to stand out. They lose what makes a coffee good, which is coffee. I want to say I will give them a second shot in the future to see if it was just an off day or a bad beverage pick. Too many shots turns a Lucky Lab into Old Yeller. The lab needs to be put on a leash before I think about returning. RIYL: options

There is a parking lot that you can get validation for 2 hrs free, but after that you will be charged. Overall though, it's totally worth a visit! The bartenders are really friendly, the bathrooms are immaculate, and the inside of the place is really cute -- think kinda pink vintage? There are some tables, and big comfy couches around a coffee table in the middle of the bar which is where we sat. I had one of their happy hour cocktails that was similar to a creamy espresso martini, and they are 50% off on happy hour days/times! My friend got one of their floral cocktails which wasn't discounted but I LOVED it personally. I also got a strawberry matcha drink (non alcoholic) that was a little too sweet in my opinion; I finished it but wouldn't get it again. Overall though the cocktails and vibe in there are worth a visit alone! When it's not too hot, the area outside has little mini-chandeliers and is also very vibey.

I usually only go to coffee shops to work, but today, went on a coffee date with my dog instead. There's ground floor parking in the garage that's complimentary for two hours. I kept it simple with a vanilla latte. I noticed they had tacos at the bottom of the food menu, but at $13.25 for two tacos + an a la carte item, I decided to pass. Maybe my expectations were too high (as usual) because it's inside a hotel, but I was hoping for the kind of warm hospitality hotels are known for, but instead, the service felt a bit cold. It didn't exactly make me want to spend more money there. While sitting on the patio, I spotted the food truck outside and thought, "PERFECT. A food truck HAS to be cheaper. Take that Simona's!" I walked up to the window... only to find out it wasn't actually a separate food truck. It was just the pickup window. To order? I had to go back inside to Simona's and place my order with the delightful staff... I ended up ordering two Blue Migas tacos, and honestly, they were just... good, but nothing memorable. They tasted like your average breakfast tacos that you can find all over Austin for less. Despite loving how relaxing the outdoor patio is with its lucious greenery surrounding you and the beautiful French chairs and cafe tables, it's located right next to the hotel pool. If you're visiting on a summer afternoon, expect some extra noise with pool guests. If you're looking for a quiet coffee or a place to work, I'd recommend coming early in the morning instead.
