Ok, I was not impressed one bit. We paid $70 for 2 pounds of brisket. This is just brisket, no sides. We asked for moist and it was dried and sliced with different thickness. The most disappointing over priced BBQ I've had. Ive had much better brisket elsewhere and paid $25, which comes with 1 pound of moist brisket that's actually moist and tender plus 2 sides and a dinner roll. Never coming back here again. read more

What a cute little treasure. There are soooo many places to eat in this area that it baffles your mind. We used to just often visit and just go to our favorite places but recently we have been trying to expand our circle and introduce new finds. We arrived at this bbq place about a half hour before closing... no, not to see how nasty they could be so close to closing, but because it was a long day and we were starving. It was our first time and we were looking at the menu on the board( you order at the counter... not your table). The young man asked what we wanted but we said it was our first time so we weren't quite ready. At that point he turned around and we just looked at each other like to say how odd that was. He then proceeded to put on a little paper that they use on their trays a sampling of their meats... a generous sampling of several options. Whoa... what? He proceeded to tell us what was what and told us some crowd favorites. SOLD! He wasn't upset at our late timing or indecisions on the menu. He was kind and generous with the food and his Texas charm. So then onto our ordering of bbq plus the sides...he followed up with saying if anything wasn't as expected, just to come back to get something different. Like seriously... clone this guy... this is customer service and appreciation, and needless to say, this is what humanity should be!! Having eaten at over 300 barbecue restaurants, I'm a fairly good judge of quality. MeatUAnywhere is a top-tier barbecue joint, not to be missed.   Upon entering, you will join a line waiting to place your order. There's always a line during peak times. Don't worry though, the line moves quickly.   The barbecue is an excellent representation of true Texas barbecue. It's slow smoked just feet from the service counter. The briskets have a thick smoke ring and peppery bark, just like you expect in Texas. Each meat option is prepared with the same expertise. Don't miss the Turkey breast. It's melt-in-your-mouth wonderful. If you order their sandwich, I hope you're hungry. It's going to take both hands. My wife loves the brisket breakfast tacos. And incidentally, my wife worked at a barbecue restaurant in Abeline in her college years, and pretty much refuses to go willingly to any barbecue joint now, apart from this one. Here is the bottom line, if you are visiting the DFW area and want a true taste of Texas, this is the restaurant I would recommend. For Texans that know good barbecue, this is easily a top 50.   The Grapevine location has a small footprint. Parking can be a bear. If you have a choice, don't arrive during peak times. The restaurant has a Texas vibe. It's casual, and the tables are close together. It does get a bit noisy. There's a second location down HWY 114 heading west. It's a little larger and just as awesome.   If you eaten at MeatUAnywhere, you've had true Texas barbecue. Add that accomplishment to your culinary resume. read more

I think it's easiest for me to just list what I ordered and my opinions of them. Brisket: tender and moist, but could use just a tad more seasoning. A lot of brisket slices come on the sandwich so you can easily take half the meat home and make another sandwich with your bread in the kitchen. Sausage: also good, though clearly not made in the restaurant. About the correct amount of sausage comes on the sandwich with maybe a slice or two extra. Macaroni and cheese: really weird. The pasta used was penne and the sauce was watery. Would not recommend at all. Creamed corn: about what you'd expect from cream corn. Nothing too notable for me to say Banana pudding: similar opinion to the creamed corn. Nothing too special, but tasty nonetheless. Would've maybe liked more wafers in the pudding read more

You stand in a line to order and all the meats are sold by the pound which is really nice. Once they weigh the meat, they wrap them individually in wax paper. I was pretty happy with the food. This place is a must visit! My husband and I both agreed this was the best bbq we have had. We got a sample of brisket, ribs, and turkey and they were all a 10/10. The Mac n cheese is incredible. We ended up getting a pound of turkey and two large containers of burnt end soup to take home and freeze for sandwiches and an easy dinner. Food was delicious and had a tone of flavor. I usually don't like pork ribs but these had the perfect amount of season to sauce ratio and the smokey taste had me coming back. The service was bar none. They even let my kid taste two meets so she can decide which sandwich to have. My daughter usually hates Mac and cheese but whatever way your recipe is don't change it as she loved it. Overall for my daughter's first taste of Texas BBQ she loved it. When in Dallas, you must BBQ and this place was soooooooo gooooooood! Our party of 4 split a tray of brisket, ribs, pulled pork, fries and jalapeño bacon mac and cheese. The meat melted in our mouths. The fries were the freshest I'd ever had. I'm not usually a fan of Mac and cheese but oh wow was it fantastic. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking. You order at the counter and then find seating. We were there for lynch on Saturday and it was busy, but not 100% full. My first time trying BBQ in Texas, and Meat U Anywhere didn't disappoint. In fact, that was the best BBQ I've ever had. Definitely best St Louis style ribs - off the bone, just perfect texture and flavor. The pulled pork was also delicious - the right amount of moisture, and very flavorful. I'd probably rate brisket at 4* - but I'm not much of a brisket aficionado anyway, next time I'll just skip it for more ribs and pulled pork and maybe something else. It was still grear, but maybe those ribs raised the bar really high. Interior and vibe - it feels like a blue-collar BBQ = very relaxed, welcoming, and casual. I don't know if they just weren't very busy during the day--it was a weeknight--and stuff had sat most of the day on the line or in the hot box. The brisket was almost like pot roast--no bark whatsoever and not much flavor. The jalapeno sausage was the only redeeming meat on the plate. The mac and cheese is one of the worst I've ever had at a barbecue joint--it was ziti shaped pasta but was so overcooked that I couldn't pick up a piece of pasta without it falling apart. Way beyond al dente to where it looked like mashed potatoes in the cup. I hadn't been here in quite a while--either it's not as good as I remember or they were having an off night. If you have to-go order and need assistance, good luck. They don't answer their phone. I tried for two days to call them to check the ingredients in potato salad because of an allergy. I called 12 times in 2 days. No answer. I assume they just don't care. Oh well, guess we'll be throwing this potato salad away because we cannot verify ingredients. Overall the experience with them was a bummer- anyone can do barbecue but it's how they treat their customers that makes a restaurant stand out. Don't sleep on their breakfast either - They open at 6 a.m. with breakfast tacos - eggs, cheese, potatoes, and several meats to choose from including brisket and bacon (bacon chopped finely which is so much better than a strip of bacon on a taco). Jalapeno mac and cheese also not to be missed at lunch or dinner. They do a fair amount of catering. I'd hire them any day if I was having a party and wanted some BBQ for my group. Friendly service and fast too. I give 4 stars only because their seating is quite limited. This location is closer to us but we usually get takeout. We stopped in for our lunch break during an on-site visit; all of us were from out of town. We ate in; I ordered a brisket sandwich with a side of chile mac & cheese and a soft drink. I was born in Fort Worth and grew up eating a LOT of BBQ. On the spectrum of excellent Texan BBQ, I would choose a place with fattier brisket - the smoke is there, but I found mine very much dependent on the large bottles of BBQ sauce on each table. Pretty dry. I'd also go for a place where you can sample a few sides instead of committing to one; had we been a more intimate group we might have shared, family style, instead of awkwardly sitting around the table and asking how the cole slaw is. Lastly, a soda fountain where the only diet option is Diet Dr. Pepper. Bummer. Their unsweetened Iced Tea, however, was the most classic I had on my trip, and I appreciated the enormous black cup that eventually made its way into my carry-on home. I would return in the future for sure & do a better job or ordering now that I've gotten a lay of the land. Definitely worth a stop for a quick lunch. read more

The price point was impeccable for the amount of food you got. Didn't see any of Joe Bidens leftover inflation one bit at the register. Enough rambling, let me break it down for for you 9.64/10- For the tortilla, it's warm, fluffy, fresh and honestly just plain dang delicious. 9/10- Eggs were not dry, good flavor and seasoning. The sous chef knows how to whip it up for sure. 7/10- Not as dry as last time where I thought I needed a piece of gum for my cottonmouth. Much more moist. Consistently great Barbecue in the Grapevine/Southlake border area. The restaurant is well located but parking is a bit of a problem since it is such a popular spot. Plenty of tables inside, with a handy sink outside of the bathroom to wash away all that delicious sauce. Stand in line to order your cuts, and watch them slice and trim everything to order. You can't go wrong with any of the meats on offer, although my favorites have got to be the brisket and the jalapeno cheddar sausage. Both are phenomenal. The owners/managers/staff are very generous too, and have been incredibly helpful when packing up meals to go. For large orders, they even throw in some sauce bottles...my personal favorite being the spicy one. The sides are pretty solid, with the potato salad and the creamed corn being delicious. Honestly, I could just eat the main meats with some pickles, jalapenos and onions and be a happy guy. I've never had the desserts, so can't speak to that. Honestly, one of my favorite BBQ places in DFW, and that's saying a lot. Heim may be on par with this one, but if I'm in DFW north and craving some BBQ, I'd definitely head to Meat U Anywhere. read more
