There are plenty of barbecue places around, but most are a waste of time. This one stands out as the best--not just for the food, but for the reasonable prices and consistently high quality. They have the absolute best ribs I've ever had. The vegetables are well-seasoned, the rolls are tasty, and every order comes with Texas toast, rolls and trimmings(onions, pickles etc). For a small charge, you can add soft-serve ice cream, and it's included for free with the kids' meals. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. It's counter service--you order at the line, grab your tray, and seat yourself. They even have a back room available for group meetings. I'm not sure if there's a fee for that, but it's a great option for gatherings.

The cool little place is tucked away between some mega mansions. Really cool house to look at as you drive in. The pulled pork had a good smoky flavor. Adding the spicy bbq sauce, really added to it. The jalapeño beans were really my favorite. Even the Mac was good. It was lacking flavor.

This cafeteria style BBQ joint is DELICIOUS and is the epitome is quintessential Texas barbecue. Meat wise I recommend the smoked turkey, brisket, and pulled pork. For the sides, I mostly munched on the delicious French fries but the potato salad and Mac and cheese looked good too. For dessert we got the blackberry cobbler! The staff were extremely friendly and even offered us a meat sampler plate! I'm not sure that's something you can ask for, since they just offered it to us while we were deciding what to order. But it was awesome to the meats everything! Like I said, this place embodies exactly what you envision when you think Texas BBQ joint. Neon lights, wooden walls, country music. It's perfect. And wasn't too busy for a Friday night!

It's been years since I've eaten here, only because I live over an hour away. The last time it seemed more in the country, now it's all grown up around it. Inside it's What you want to see from a great BBQ place rustic and inviting. Grab a tray place your order, you help yourself to the sides you order and free hot Rolls. I got the pulled pork basket which gets two sides. I got the green beans and dirty rice. The rice was good chick full of brisket. The beans were very good, some of the best I've had. The pulled pork has to be one of the best I've had, the meat was flavorful and moist. They offer a mustard based pork sauce and it was delicious. After the meal you can get self serve ice cream for 50 cents. Do your self a favor go here and try it

I give the Feedstore a five star review. I ate three chopped beef sandwiches. They were so good I ate the wrappers too! Cowboy (my dog)

Sign out front said "voted best burger" so I just had to fact check:-) Second time at Feedstore BBQ and I stand by my previous 4.5 star rating. Food is fast, we'll seasoned, and filling. I would agree it's the best non-chain (aka not as good as 5 guys) local burger in the immediate area but the burger isn't as good as their BBQ menu items. Plus you get soft serve at the end of your meal which my kiddo loves and is a nice way to complete a full meal. Some of the side dishes are too expensive ($3.50 for a single scoop of coleslaw) but overall the price points aren't bad considering the quality. We had two burger meals with sodas and kids rib meal for about $50. Additionally, staff comes by frequently to clear trash/ trays and wipe down counters. Lunch is a busy time but staff handles the rush well and seems to be an efficient team. Great job all around.

Since we're new to TX, a lot have recommended this place so we gave it a try and it didn't disappoint. Food: We ordered a pound of everything LOL not know any better but turned out great coz we had 3 meals out of it for 4 people. I loved the BBQ ribs and hubby loved the brisket. Not a fun of the sausage but it's good. Ordered side of green beans, mashed potato and potato salad--all were good. Service: Servers were helpful and accommodating gave us samples to taste. Ambience: Seems ok. We did take out but went it to order and it seemed decent. Will try dining in next time and take our guests there for them to experience real Texas BBQ

They slice it and put it on a plate. I ordered some brisket, a slice of turkey, and a rib. It is weighed and a sticker is put on your tray. You walk inside and can choose cold sides. Then there's a warmer where I chose Mac and cheese. Also as I walked in I was asked if I wanted fries or onion rings. I chose the rings and was given a number to keep on my tray so they could bring them out to me when they were ready. Then you pay. They also serve soda and alcoholic beverages but you get them at the bar. I arrived at 5 PM on a Monday and it was already beginning to get busy…read more The process is that you get in line and then when you get up to the Carver order your meats, as much or as little as you want; after you're done ordering they weigh the meat - prices are per pound (currently $26/lb). Then head inside to collect your sides, of which there are many. Then complete your purchase with the cashier at the end of the line. Tonight I tried a little of everything: the brisket - full of smoky flavor and super tender, yet it tended to crumble rather than being able to slice it; the pulled pork - juicy and tender; the jalapeño cheddar sausage - full of flavor and zip, IMO the star of the show; the turkey - dust-dry and flavorless. This one was a disappointment, however, when he was assembly my order I noticed that the Carver did locate a butt end in which he sliced the rest of the meat from. I'm sure the fresh off the smoker, huge breast that just got put down on the warmer would've been just fine in juicy flavor. They should have found some other use for that dry butt end of turkey instead of serving it to me because I took only one bite and threw the rest away. For sides, I had the jalapeño sweet corn casserole (outstanding!). Coleslaw (fresh) and complimentary pinto beans. These beans were excellent and they are cooked with what I'm assuming are the leftover scraps of meat; what a flavorful side item and they are free! I love their regular sauce, didn't care for the flavor their spicy sauce. Sauces are available on a warmer which further adds to the flavor. I did get a piece of whiskey pie to -go. Their pie slices are small, which was fortunate, in this case, because I didn't find it to be very good. Overall, fantastic food, young servers and staff were respectful and helpful. Nice air-conditioned, indoor dining as well as outdoor dining tables.

However, as time goes on service and customer care seems to be declining. I'm in my mid 60s and have white hair, but the cashiers never offered the senior citizen discount unless you ask for it. I had good Birria tacos one time. The next time I went, they dipped them in consume, but didn't sear them off on the flat top so they were crispy so I ended up eating mush. That was my last review and I still gave him three stars for that mediocre attempt at a taco. I've been going to 407 BBQ for many years and I'm well aware of his sign that says if you don't specify, you get what you get no returns lean or fatty. Well I did specify, but the hostess didn't write it down on my order. OK you know what I am disappointed as all hell but that's my mistake since I didn't look at the receipt. Fine, but if you look at the receipt where I ordered a pound of brisket to go that clearly says lean, and it's a hell of a lot closer to fatty than lean. Look at my pictures below. That will tell you everything you need. My wife ordered the burger, which is normally very good and one of the more difficult choices that I have to make in life barbecue or burger. But this time it seems as though they put garlic salt on the burger or some sort of garlic flavoring which overpowers their burger we've never had to specify no garlic before, but maybe something has changed that I'm not aware of. Maybe he felt they needed to be more mainstream? Who knows. With the proliferation of really stellar barbecue now available around DFW I can no longer recommend 407. Maybe he's got too many young kids maybe I'm not aware and he sold out. Maybe he's gone corporate. I'm not sure what's going on. Maybe there's something going on in his life I'm not aware of and he's preoccupied with that. But I think I'm done with 407. He could've easily responded to my yelp review on the mediocre taco disaster, but he didn't. He didn't attempt to make it right. I published my receipt and he can go back in his system and see who I am. He's got my full name and phone number, but I doubt he'll contact me. It's a shame when he was working out of a small wooden shack, there seemed to be a lot more care about Customer Service and Support. There's always my standby Angelo's downtown Fort Worth, North Texas smoke out near Decatur, which is actually closer to me than 407 but has limited hours. Hutchins in Trophy Club and Daynes's barbecue in Aledo. I wish Brian and the 407 crew all the best. Hopefully they get things back
