While visiting town for my sister's graduation, my brother-in-law and I went to Meat U Anywhere BBQ because the reviews were solid and the location was close to our hotel. The staff was welcoming, and they let me sample the jalapeno macaroni and cheese, which I loved! I'm not too fond of jalapenos, and I have a low tolerance for spicy food. However, the jalapenos had a minimal spicy kick. I ordered the rib plate with my choice of side, which I chose the jalapenos macaroni and cheese, and a fountain drink for approximately 18.00. The ribs were okay, but they grew on me with each bite, and I liked the BBQ sauce. The highlight of my meal was the jalapenos macaroni and cheese! The restaurant has dine-in tables. However, it's more of a marketplace than a restaurant. We took our food to go! I would return especially for the macaroni and cheese! read more

If you like keeping it simple (sparse menu) and LOVE your meat lean, this is the place for you! Great customer service and clean joint. Pros: Delicious BBQ meat. Lean and so tasty! Huge baked potatoes Great cabbage salad (ramen, apple cider, green onions and almond slices)...hit me up if you want a similar recipe. Cowboy beans are full of flavor (just like Grandma used to make) Mucho condiments with pulled pork sandwich (onions, jalapeños and tons of crispy pickles) There only one type of BBQ sauce (but it's delicious). Sweet and tangy: very traditional. Did I mention how lean the meat is? SOOO GOOD. They don't have Coke or Pepsi... but if you're an RC fan, this place is for you. They have root beer and 7Up along with a few others. Areas to improve upon: Potatoes don't come with green onions or bacon (and weren't offered). No beer (but you can bring your own) One more veggie choice (just have corn) Would love it if they threw in a dessert. read more

The "moist" brisket, (there was a a choice of dry?) is very good but the portions are small and the prices are high. I ordered a baked potato, no meat but loaded. It was cooked a day earlier, it was cold in the middle, and that gray/brown tint from being old. It was terrible. My granddaughter (teenager) ordered the rib combo, again very little meat, okay in flavor and small side portion. Both brisket and ribs included a small order of pinto beans which had brisket and way too much sugar in them. If you order brisket to go you will be fine. This is one I won't go back to. read more

Drove over an hour for the pickles to be the most flavorful thing we had. We purchased 1 pound moist brisket 1 pound jalapeño cheddar sausage 1 pint of jalapeño mac 2 drinks. $80 for trash The brisket is ALL FAT and is DAYS old. No smoke ring, no taste. If the meat is good, the customer won't use sauce. The 2 tables (including us) drowned it. SAD The mac? Water. No seriously water. No customers besides 2 tables and their out of tea and tables dirty. If you're going to show no effort or talent in this case just close down and save the money. We won't be back read more

Ate there last week, used to be worth the money. $20 for pulled pork sandwich, cream corn and a soda? Very disappointed for the price, 1/3rd of sandwich was just fat! Seriously the person making sandwiches should have noticed that. We won't be back. read more

Huge fan of Meat U Anywhere, if you're trying to make up your mind there are two things that are the best there 1) The breakfast Tacos 2) MUA combo (get it with fries). Staff is extremely friendly and kind. Plenty of room in the building and enjoy the photos and posters on the walls. read more

Our son and daughter-in-law suggested we stop here and grab dinner to bring to their house. With the name of the restaurant, we didn't expect much. Boy were we wrong. Not much to look at on the outside, in fact we didn't even notice it, and very institutional on the inside, this restaurant more than made up for that with excellent service and outstanding food. Two gentlemen greeted us when we approached the counter of this fast casual restaurant. Hearing that we were first timers, they immediately offered suggestions and, more importantly, samples. We sampled three items and ordered all there of them. First was the "Famous" Peppered Tenderloin. I have had lots of tenderloin over the years and this was as tender and flavorful as any offered at high end restaurants for triple the price. We also had a sliced brisket sandwich that was also very very tasty and huge. I could barely eat half of it, so that meant outstanding leftovers for dinner the next day. The half chicken was the third excellent meat offering and it too was moist and flavorful. The fourth main was the brisket without a bun. We tried lots of sides - jalapeno bacon mac 'n cheese, country style potato salad, notcha momma's slaw and southern style creamed corn. Corn and slaw were outstanding. Potato salad was good. Mac 'n Cheese needed more spice to live up to its name. For takeaway, they packed everything very thoroughly for the drive home. Although there are some other BBQ restaurants closer to our home with much more well-known names (Marty B, 407), I would put the food here above both of them. Probably wouldn't do sit-down dining here, but if you are anywhere in the area looking for takeaway or someone to cater, this should be the first choice. read more

Now I understand why the parking lot was empty at 8pm. I had been here several years ago for lunch and it was ok. With Hutchins less than a block away and Hard Eight nearby, this place needs to go ahead and shut down. Maybe because it was close to their 8:30pm closing time, there was no tea so they gave us a bottle. But to worry about not making a whole fresh pot of tea, makes me surprised as the chopped and sliced brisket tasted like it was made several days ago, and the ribs were so overcooked my 9 yr old bit right through the bone asking us what 'that' is. The fries were the only fresh thing here. Very limited menu to order from as all meats are by the pound. Make your own combinations. Variety of sides but the Mac & cheese penne pasta was mush and I was fearful to eat much of the creamed corn, even though my husband and daughter liked it. The floor was greasy and now I wonder what their health department scores are like. Not the way I'd want to spend my dinner, money, or time. read more

Always a solid brisket experience. Definitely a must stop on the search for the holy grail of que.

Nice building and atmosphere. And the guy at the counter was spectacular. Great service. We were starving and had driven from OKC specifically for a day of BBQ and this was our first stop. We tried most of the meat (aside from the pulled pork), Cole slaw, Mac n cheese, and beans. The brisket was excellent. The bark was plentiful and delicious. Probably the best brisket we had all day. The ribs were ok, nothing special but certainly not bad. The sausage was delicious although not smoky. I would love a couple links in the morning with eggs. The sides were delicious too. I really liked the penne Mac n cheese, but the coleslaw and beans were even better. Very solid BBQ. I'd go back in a second and I'd order everything the same but maybe try the pulled pork instead of the ribs. Food 4/5 Service 5/5 Price 4/5 read more

Rib Special with half pound 'moist' brisket. Let's just say this may have been the worst bbq I've tasted and believe me I've tried quite a bit. Brisket was chewy and dry. Meat U Anywhere BBQ - Rib Special with 1/2 Pound 'Moist' Brisket Mac for the Side. - Barbeque Near Me - Trophy Club, Texas

Saturday evening we were out and about, decided to give this place a try. We ordered 1 lb brisket (half moist half sliced), 1/2 lb pulled pork, creamed corn, and the Mac n cheese. This is a counter service restaurant but the staff was friendly and quick. The brisket was pretty good, it was moist and had good bark. I'm not usually a big fan of pulled pork but this might have been the best pulled pork I've had in DFW. The sauce was very peppery, I tend to like mine a bit sweeter, but neither needed it (if I were doing a sandwich, it would have been different). The sides were just ok. The Mac was pretty mushy, but the flavor was good, and the corn was VERY creamy, we tried to squish extra out between bites (again, the valor was good nut definitely could have used more corn). Overall, would stop in again if I were in the area not would want to try different sides. read more

Ten out of ten!!! Seriously, the best BBQ I think I've had since I was a kid growing up in Amarillo (1980s Doug's - #iykyk). We often take visitors to Hard Eight, and I'm soooo glad that my husband insisted on this tonight instead. Mouth watering delicious! read more

Breakfast tacos are worthwhile and served all day. They are hearty - I took down the "Gran" and a normal Brisket/Egg/Cheese taco and was full until dinner. I'd pass on the Gran unless you are into a bunch of mixed meats and little noticeable eggs. I haven't been overly impressed with the bbq itself, but it's worthwhile for a breakfast all day meal! read more

So disappointed, ribs overdone and greasy. Jalapeño bacon Mac and cheese was like having some noodles in a soup base, found there were 2-3 pieces of bacon in the liquid and no heat whatsoever. Fries had flavor but soggy Wish I had seen yelp review before the google review me as wouldn't have gone to the trophy club location. Hope grapevine location is better Service from employees was fabulous tho, appreciated how sweet they were and helpful. read more

One of our favorite BBQ pits. I wanted to do a review on this cold winter day in TX to rave about the burnt end stew. If you haven't had your fix yet, run don't walk. It's a meal in a bowl. Flavorful tomato based broth with chunks of burnt ends, huge chunks of their famous baked potato's and sweet carrots just the right amount of seasoning. It is delicious! read more

We have eaten here before and it was good, but today the brisket was inedible. It cost $58 for three of us to get a sandwich combo and the two people who got sliced brisket couldn't eat their lunch because the meat was solid fat. We were quite disappointed this time. read more

Good and service were too notch. Excellent brisket. Sides were terrific and the bread was fresh. Good drinks easy to handle.

Great meal here and the staff were very nice. We had brisket and jalapeño cheese sausage. Both awesome - wish the meat was a little hotter. Mac and cheese and potato salad sides were both phenomenal. Quick review: finally found a brisket I didn't like. It had an odd, chemical-flavored aftertaste. Drink station wreaks and multiple taps broken or not functioning properly. Jalapeño sausage tasted store-bought. Barbecue sauce is too sweet. Place isn't all that clean. Service was top notch. Menu needs more plate options instead of just selling by the pound. No Diet Coke?! Parking sucks. $25+ for me to half two 1/4 pound serving, two sides, and a drink. BYOB is a minus for me. This place just needs a revamp. read more

While this location is much better to where we live, the food is not the same as the grapevine location. Servers act like they couldn't care less, and since Hutchins moved in nearby, I find little reason to go back to Meat U Anywhere. I'm not sure what happened, but it is pretty sad. If you don't believe my review, may I suggest you drive by MUA first, then drive by Hutchins and see the difference in the parking lots full of cars. read more

Awesome BBQ, the team here is amazing. Friendly service. They have a room for family gatherings. Highly recommend.

This place is probably going to be a problem for me. Why? Two words. Breakfast Tacos. Meat U Anywhere is open from 6am till they run out of food and have a very good selection of BBQ'd meats to choose from. When I go to new BBQ places I generally get x# of ounces of whatever sausage and turkey they have available but my head almost exploded when I saw they breakfast tacos were available all day long. So! I got the 3 tacos! Brisket, Egg, and Cheese; Jalapeno Sausage, Egg, and Cheese; and finally the Chorizo, Egg, and Cheese. Honestly, that's the order that I will rank them as well. The eggs were perfectly fluffy and soft, the tortillas were hot and the Brisket was excellent. A close second was the Jalapeno Sausage burrito. The Chorizo was very good, but it wasn't at the same level the other two. I honestly can't wait to go back. The reason why I took one star off was due to the fact that my wife didn't love her chopped brisket sandwich as much as she has at other locations. Don't get me wrong, it was still good, just not her favorite, and if she's not perfectly happy then I can't give 5 stars. Don't worry though, we'll definitely be back, and I'll update once she's satisfied :0) Check them out! read more

Oh my lord I can't believe it's bbq, even Betty Crocker is rolling in her grave. This place needs to just close the doors and save what dignity it has left. Y'all had a good run. The bbq appeared as if it was boiled and liquid smoke added. The discoloration didnt appear smoked at all. No flavor and it's definitely not slap yo momma good. As I was looking at my $45 2 meat plate that looked like a happy meal portion, I had to think what the heck am I doing with my life. Eating here was just like a happy meal prize, you know theirs a toy in there but your pretty dang sure you ain't gonna like it. I looked around at all the other 3 customers in the entire place at 7pm Friday night and they had the look of nawing on a concrete curb might be a better option. Just wasn't good guys. Super friendly employees and out of tea. You've got to be kidding geez! Must of been a hell of a rush before I got there smh read more

This is a reluctant 3-Star Rating, because I do like Meat U Anywhere. Everyone who works there is friendly. I've eaten here about 10 times. I've had the brisket, sausage, ham, most of the sides, and a loaded potato. I've found the food to be inconsistent. Two of three times, it's fantastic! With the exception of the fries, which I love, I find the sides to be so-so. I would probably give this a 4-Star if it were just me. My wife won't eat here after two disappointments. She loves loaded potatoes with chopped brisket. On her first visit, the potato was overcooked. On her "one more try" visit, the potato itself was bad. It should have been tossed out before cooking. As such, I only eat here on the rare occasion that I'm eating solo and I want to accept the gamble because the location is convenient. read more

Good gets Great with Fun Twists! Barbecue is my thing. Certified judge of the KCBS. I love some 'Q. This is my go-to for lunch, when I'm in a hurry. Never been at the top of my list, but consistently better than average, and friendly staff. I eat here 2-3 lunches each week. And it just got better. For a while now they've been serving tamales on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They're good. Try them--especially stuffed with the brisket! Recently they started serving Burnt End Stew. This is the stew Grandma made. You'll know it as the hearty soup cooked for hours with potatoes, carrots, tomato, and celery with just the right seasoning. Here they substitute the traditional beef with their already-tasty smoked brisket chunks. Now combine them. Get your stew, add a tamale, and then schedule yourself a siesta. OMG. The brisket, plus the American comfort food of the stew, and the Mexican flavor of the hand-made brisket tamales: the BEST food they make, all together at once! read more

Husband loves BBQ and sometimes I let him pick. Lol. Nice little place, very clean. We went around 1600 so it was not busy at all. Food was served fresh and piping hot especially the Mac and cheese. Only negative we had was the sweet tea wasn't anything to write home about. And there was no pickles which would have been wonderful on the sandwich. I, for one, would have liked mustard on the table. There was only ketchup and bbq sauce. But the BBQ sauce was DANK! I'd come back here if hubby wanted to and I would order off the breakfast menu next time. read more

Hello! A young man helped us at the counter tonight. He was so kind, respectful, and his customer service was outstanding. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and answered all of our questions. I just wanted someone to know that this young man is such an asset in today's business world. I was blown away and it is because of his customer service that we will be coming back. I didn't get his name, but he had a hat on backwards, is 18, and a Senior at Byron. As a mom and a teacher, I was very proud of him and how much he takes pride in his job. I wanted to share this with you as well. The food was fantastic, but it was the customer service that won me over! Thank you! read more

First time visitor .... The smell walking in was intoxicating! We came to try the breakfast tacos and were not disappointed. Bacon, egg, cheese, potato and beans .... 5 stars.
