Al pastor enchiladas with potatoes and carrots

Holy cow is this place off the charts for authentic Mexican food. It's in a strip center, so "behind the scenes type presentation" but the food of super flavorful and large portions. Start with homemade chips and salsa (red & green--try dots on a chip to start). The steak and potatoes is a large portion and a best seller. We picked enchiladas that was amazing (can get 4 or 6) $12 for 6. Beans are supreme and worth a side order if your meal doesn't come with it. Staff is very accommodating. I dropped my fork and another was brought quickly & I did t have to ask. They also have vegetarian options.

Carne asada tacos were full of fat. Owner and servers are rude. Will never go back. They don't give you silverware unless you ask.

Yey! Happy we found this place. It is near our golf cart dealership, Evolution Superstore in Roanoke. We took our food to go because we had to open shop. Since it was a Saturday, we got to try their menudo.. yumminess! If you like menudo, get it at this place. It's legit. Flavorful soup and tripe was tender and bigger chunks than most places We also got Tacos - Al Pastor (pork) and Carne asada. Very good flavors and the meat is tender. Good sized tacos. The red and green sauce was also good. Service was also good.

Cute little place off 477 in Roanoke. I had been wanting to try place but I had not been able to make it. The service was great and the atmosphere was what you would expect from a local mom and pop shop. The food was good but nothing outstanding. Regardless, still a good place if you are in the area.

So. Much. Color. I LOVED it!!

Tried breakfast at Mil Amores today and it was delicious! We were immediately offered their hot chocolate with cinnamon. I can't quite describe it - it has a different flavor than the hot chocolate I am used to and it has a thicker consistency. I'd recommend you try it! I ordered a bean and cheese taco with bacon (not on the menu but they were happy to make it) and a ham, egg and cheese taco. I would definitely order each of them again. I topped them off with their green sauce and a little sprinkle of salt on the eggs and I was a happy girl! My fiancé ordered the breakfast burrito, which had eggs, cheese, potatoes and your choice of meat. He chose chorizo, which he said was excellent and not greasy, as some chorizos are. The potatoes were cut to just the right side and were cooked perfectly. One of the owners spent quite a bit of time talking with us about her home in Mexico and their desire to offer that "home cooked" food to others. It was such an interesting conversation, and I appreciate her willingness to share! This is not the Tex-mex you will see all over - it is unique and fabulous!

You wont regret eating here! I had the Flautas and Steak Taco. Meat is so savory and well seasoned. Tortillas de Nixtamal were so yummy, which you cant find many places. They are better than white corn. Margarita & Adrianna were the sweetest. The Flautas were delicious and love that I can choose 4 or 6!

Tried this place this morning....morning tacos, I know. It was a celebration meal for being able to successfully go through the Texas driver license gauntlet. Tortillas: 4/5. They weren't homemade but were perfectly cooked. Meat: 5/5. Tried asada, pastor, and carnitas. The carnitas were out of this world. Definitely need to try these. Portions were larger than normal and I could barely eat the 4 tacos I ordered, which is unusual. Salsa: 4/5. Very tasty. Came in squeeze bottles. Tried the green and red salsas and both were good. Other: 5/5. Family owned restaurant. Mother cooks the food and daughter runs the tables and register. Great unique Mexican candies and a very very good atole (Mexican cinnamon hot drinking chocolate).

The menu is very limited however the tacos we tried were very good. We had the pollo and the steak. They were out of the carnitas. The salsa verde is very good but we thought the red was very hot. We will try it again as they settle in.

The margaritas are just okay, but the very good service more than makes up for it--the staff is attentive and keeps everything running smoothly. One of the best features is the nice outdoor patio, which makes it a great place to sit back and unwind, especially on a good-weather day. Overall, a dependable choice with good food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Enjoyed another meal while out enjoying the street festival…read more They were super busy but quickly had us seated and taken care of. This time I had the lettuce wrap that has chili garlic chicken bites, black beans & rice ($15). It was good and lighter so I wasn't too full to get back out in the heat for the evening. Good flavor. The lettuce leaves provided were too big/mush for the amount of meat given - only needed two leaves since they were quite large. Queso was good. Others enjoyed taco salad, brisket tacos, kids quesadillas, taquitos. Margarita was decent. For $15, I thought it would come in a nice glass or a plastic cup that hadn't already been used. (Mine had most the writing on plastic cup gone. Like they wash and re-use them).
