We ordered the Carne Adovada at the waitress's suggestion and she did not lead us astray. The sauce was smoky and full of flavor. We both used the tortillas to clean the plate! Sorry, husband dug into it too fast to get a picture. We also ordered barbacoa and al pastor tacos and they were filled! The onion and cilantro garnish was fresh and plentiful. We will be back for one of each of their tacos to try them all.

If you want solid Mexican food but want to avoid the massive chains or pricey fine-dining spots, Mil Amores is a fantastic local business to support. Here is the breakdown of what to expect: The Best Items: My absolute favorite is the fish tacos--easily one of the best things on the menu. The barbacoa tacos are also great, and I highly recommend their caldo (delicious with the tortillas) and fresh agua frescas. The Average Items: The rest of the taco lineup is just okay, not the absolute best I've ever had, but definitely not the worst. The Changes: They used to serve complimentary chips and salsa, but it seems like they stopped doing that. Also, the salsa that comes with the tacos or burritos is now pretty watered down and lacks flavor. Finally, they used to make their tortillas fresh by hand, but lately, they seem like basic corn tortillas. Service: Very straightforward. You order at the counter, they bring the food to your table, and you pay at the register when you're done. Because it's a great local spot, it gets packed at midday with local workers. I highly recommend trying to time your visit right before or just after the main lunch rush to beat the crowds. Overall, it's a solid, casual local spot that I'll keep coming back to!

Unfortunately, our experience was pretty disappointing. My sister-in-law and I both ordered the Pollo Poblano. She has ordered it here before and said it was really good. When my plate arrived, I immediately noticed that the chicken wasn't hot, it was lukewarm at best. I hadn't eaten all day, was really hungry, and the food tasted okay otherwise, so I decided not to complain and ate about 3/4 of the chicken. When our waitress brought our to go boxes, we started talking about everyone's meals. That's when my sister-in-law mentioned that her chicken wasn't hot either and described hers the exact same way: lukewarm. She said it had never been served like that the other times she'd ordered it. At that point we considered saying something, but since we'd already eaten part of our meals, we decided not to. Unfortunately, about 3.5- 4 hours after dinner, I started feeling very sick to my stomach and have now been sick for several hours. I can't say for certain that the meal caused it, but considering the temperature of the chicken, the timing definitely concerns me. It's too late tonight to check on my sister-in-law, but I'll be checking with her first thing in the morning since she ate the same entrée. The rest of the table wasn't overly impressed with their meals either, but the margarita was good. My husband thought the brisket tacos were bland and felt they needed some type of sauce to complement them, and my mom gave the beef enchiladas 2 stars. I do want to say that our waitress was great, and we had no issues with her service. My biggest regret is not trusting my gut and sending the lukewarm chicken back when it was first served. Hindsight is definitely 20/20 because now I'm up late fighting my gut instead.

Good luck getting in and out of your parking spots as well as entering and exiting the business strip that it's located at. The nachos were very good. There was a lot more beef than I was anticipating, but still not that much. Everything is full of flavor my only diss with the dish is the lack of meat, especially considering the up charge when you add meat to the nachos. Service was fast and I'm mainly always use the kiosk to order when I go here. But I can never use my rewards. It seems like when I do order from a kiosk, which seems a bit of an issue. And that is for every Torchy's that I go to. Ambience is pretty casual and typical for Torchy's I will definitely stop back in and hopefully it will not be as crowded and packed like it usually is lol

We love Torchy's, but after another large order Thursday night, I'm updating this review again. My pregnant wife was looking forward to chips queso, guacamole, and rojo salsa, all of which were missing from our order. When I called, the employee who answered put me on hold while I was explaining the problem, without saying a word. After about 20 minutes, another employee answered. She said it was her first day and she wasn't sure how to help. I asked for a manager and was told the manager was too busy. She promised the manager would call me back that night. No one ever did. I ended up placing another order for the missing items and paying the additional cost myself. Four consecutive orders with mistakes is a pattern. Being left on hold, unable to speak with a manager, and then never receiving the promised callback makes it even worse. Customers shouldn't have to spend their evening chasing down missing food and paying again to get what they already ordered. I love your tacos, but this repeated lack of care and follow-through has become unacceptable.
