Butter Chicken Pizza. Medium sized...sorry I had a few slices already lol
    Kaljabra

I'll break this up into 2 paragraphs since both the Maria Del Mar and the Oven Story Pizza restaurants are there. 1. For as long as I've been going to the Maria Del Mar, it has always been really damn solid, as from maybe 1 or 2 bad experiences, the restaurant itself is still one of my personal favorites. The atmosphere is solid, as well as customer service (wait staff, etc), and of course the food as well. The only thing that in my opinion is a bit of an issue is price, usually going up 15-30 dollars depending what you get such as their ribeye or some of their specials. Other than that, it is a pretty solid place. 2. The newly opened Oven Story Pizza is one of my favorite pizza restaurants I have stumbled across. The wait time usually isn't that long, around 15-30 minutes, and the food is also great. My personal favorite is the butter chicken pizza, and their tikka paneer pizza. However, like the Maria Del Mar, I feel like the price is a bit uppened for what you're getting ( S, M, X or XL ). However, I would still go to either one despite that. ( ps, I don't have any pics of the food at the Maria Del Mar, but like there's already plenty online )

I'm an extremely picky person when it comes to Mexican. There's good Mexican and then there's bad Mexican. Maria Del Mar, I would consider, is Great Mexican. I would call their menu a fusion between Authentic & Tex Mex. So many great flavors on the menu. We eat here a lot and we love it. I would consider this hands down, the best Mexican restaurant in the Keller, Alliance, Roanoke, TC area. In my opinion it's not even close and I like quite a few places in the area. Name me a place, I've been there and Maria Del Mar tops them all. I don't understand why it doesn't ever have a wait, because it's delicious food. Can't complain because we always sit down immediately and the food comes out hot & fresh, quickly. If you're looking for truly tasty Mexican with authentic flavors, this is a place you need to try. I want this place to stay in business. You should too if you visit!

Beef enchiladas. Mealy! I didn't enjoy it at all.

I'm not sure what all of the hoopla is about because I really did not enjoy this place. I got the beef enchiladas and I thought the meat was a little mealy? Anyway, I didn't enjoy the green sauce either. The cheese sauce was pretty good. It was spicy and I enjoyed that. I don't think I'll come back and I don't recommend it. I live in Arizona so I'm accustomed to good Mexican food and this was not it!

Y'all already know, this restaurant keeps getting better and better every visit. Tamales were on point lots of meat with the right amount of masa. They were moist with the mole sauce (chefs kiss!) Chicken mole was perfect, taste like how grandma made it.. I do recommend an extra side of rice to soak up the sauce... don't waste that sauce yall!!! Service was great, refills and food came out quick. Can't wait to try menudo.

We love the atmosphere and their food and drinks are superb! They have the best queso around and the staff is amazing and always on top of what ever we need

Visited on a Thursday evening. The restaurant was not busy. I've been here before and it under new management or revamped... the inside is still the same. The staff is courteous, but short staffed and there is definitely a cultural difference in service. When ordering you better be specific what you want and don't want. Bc the wait staff isn't going to ask you. The food tasted good. My margarita was too sweet ... I don't think they have a dedicated bartender. But I would definitely come by again.

This is a hidden gem in Roanoke!! Honestly, most of the time I've passed by it doesn't appear to be packed but I could also be passing by during slow hours. We decided to swing by last minute not knowing they closed at 7 on Sundays and they were so sweet to welcome us in with no hesitation to serve us. The waitress was so inviting along with the rest of the staff. Friendly smiles, amazing authentic food, and very nice environment. We loved the outdoor patio and would love to revisit when they aren't about to close (our fault) so we can see the complete set up! Thank you Maria Del Mar for existing. It's so hard to find authentic Mexican food within a decent driving distance and little did I know it's been here all this time.

Just went today for an appetizer and some drinks. Drinks were a bit high for a Tito's soda and Bacardi diet and fajita nachos were no bueno. Hunks on dry chicken and carne asada on chips. Not sure what has happen to this place.

They serve yummy and filling pozole on the weekends. Service was great. The birria tacos were devoured by the hubs.

The food and prices are fantastic. Great regular dining spot for Roanoke. It's legit Mexican cuisine like Grandy would make. Don't come for TexMex. Come for the real thing. My favorite dish so far is the pollo con mole.

Seriously enjoyed our dinner tonight at Maria Del Mar in Roanoke. The service was incredible and the food was even better, super fresh and delicious. We had the fish tacos & Marias sampler and both were on point. We also had margaritas and a couple appetizers, not pictured. Can't wait to go back. Check them out!

Good $5 happy hour margaritas! Tortilla soup was tasty, and I loved that it had big vegetables. I wish the vegetables were cooked a little bit more, but the taste of the soup was really good. Fajitas were tasty with lots of flavor.

    Machaca con huevos.

This restaurant has become one Mexican favorite for us. When you arrive, the chips, salsa and FRIJOLES REFRITOS Food flavor, yummm AUTHENTIC.Their service, amazing! Simply, don't hesitate, and try to attend their live music events!

We ordered the boudin egg rolls, boudin sausage appetizer, alligator appetizer, and crawfish with the voodoo seasoning. Everything was really flavorful and well seasoned, and the crawfish had a great kick. The appetizers were perfect for sharing and made it easy for everyone to try a few things. They also did a nice job accommodating our larger party. Our server was friendly, attentive, and handled our table well, which isn't easy with a group that size. The only thing that stood out was the manager. He didn't greet any tables while we were there. At one point he brought a dish to our table but didn't say anything, and later spent quite a while standing by the bar on his phone. It didn't negatively impact the service we received, but it did leave us a little unsure about the management presence. Overall, we had a good experience and enjoyed the food. The staff we interacted with were great, but management left us wondering. We'll still come back for the crawfish though.

Martin was our server and he was excellent...friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and happy to offer recommendations and answer questions. I started with the Smoke in the Garden cocktail with black salt and Tajín, which was delightful. It was refreshing with just the right balance of flavors. We ordered from the power lunch menu, which is a great way to sample a few things. My first course was the Sonoma green salad which was light, fresh, and a perfect start to the meal. For my second course, I had the broiled salmon with Parmesan mashed potatoes, blue crab, and shrimp. I have an egg allergy, and they were very accommodating by swapping the jalapeño béarnaise for lemon garlic butter. The substitution worked beautifully and the dish was rich and satisfying without feeling too heavy. My dining companion ordered the lobster bisque followed by the sesame seared tuna and cleaned both plates, which is always a good sign. Overall, the food was delicious, the service was attentive, and I really appreciated that the menu includes some thoughtful zero-proof options as well. The ambiance was bright and relaxed. I'd absolutely recommend this location and look forward to coming back to especially to check out the desserts next time.

The Baked Alaska had a cool presentation at the table with the flames but the taste was nothing special. The Carrot Cake on the other hand was awesome. The service at Truluck's was VERY good. First things first: Booths, padded seats, coke products and a full bar + mocktails (whatever those are :) They didn't skimp on decor. I appreciated the painted and wooded ceiling, lovely lighting and fans and tasteful wallpaper. But here's what you don't see every day (even in fine dining places) substantial glasses and silverware (heavy) along with fresh flowers and of course linen napkins. I didn't even realize I was missing those things! Food (let me start out with, I'm a sauce girl and I loved their sauces-both in taste and in quantity)! They give it all to you. Pot stickers in a bowl of sauce and there's crunchy on the crunchy---while laying in a scrumptious salty sauce. Cashew chicken had sooo many cashews (the perfect amount), well-cooked chicken, lots of veggies. I went mild and my husband's dish was medium spice and there was a BIG difference but as long as they're consistent, I'm good. This was my 1st time so TBD. Dessert: Warm sticky rice with mango and even though it doesn't need it (but I LOVED it) more coconut sauce on the side! The coconut ice cream was thick and creamy with coconut shavings mixed in. It's everything a dessert should be; fruity and fresh, creamy and cold, sticky and warm ---every bite is better than the last one! Service: Our server, Juan was fabulous! He anticipated our needs and made sure we had everything we needed and more. The price didn't break the bank (very fair) and the menu has a TON of variety from all regions of Thailand. This is the real deal.
