Butter Chicken Pizza. Medium sized...sorry I had a few slices already lol

I'll break this up into 2 paragraphs since both the Maria Del Mar and the Oven Story Pizza restaurants are there. 1. For as long as I've been going to the Maria Del Mar, it has always been really damn solid, as from maybe 1 or 2 bad experiences, the restaurant itself is still one of my personal favorites. The atmosphere is solid, as well as customer service (wait staff, etc), and of course the food as well. The only thing that in my opinion is a bit of an issue is price, usually going up 15-30 dollars depending what you get such as their ribeye or some of their specials. Other than that, it is a pretty solid place. 2. The newly opened Oven Story Pizza is one of my favorite pizza restaurants I have stumbled across. The wait time usually isn't that long, around 15-30 minutes, and the food is also great. My personal favorite is the butter chicken pizza, and their tikka paneer pizza. However, like the Maria Del Mar, I feel like the price is a bit uppened for what you're getting ( S, M, X or XL ). However, I would still go to either one despite that. ( ps, I don't have any pics of the food at the Maria Del Mar, but like there's already plenty online )

I'm an extremely picky person when it comes to Mexican. There's good Mexican and then there's bad Mexican. Maria Del Mar, I would consider, is Great Mexican. I would call their menu a fusion between Authentic & Tex Mex. So many great flavors on the menu. We eat here a lot and we love it. I would consider this hands down, the best Mexican restaurant in the Keller, Alliance, Roanoke, TC area. In my opinion it's not even close and I like quite a few places in the area. Name me a place, I've been there and Maria Del Mar tops them all. I don't understand why it doesn't ever have a wait, because it's delicious food. Can't complain because we always sit down immediately and the food comes out hot & fresh, quickly. If you're looking for truly tasty Mexican with authentic flavors, this is a place you need to try. I want this place to stay in business. You should too if you visit!

Beef enchiladas. Mealy! I didn't enjoy it at all.

I'm not sure what all of the hoopla is about because I really did not enjoy this place. I got the beef enchiladas and I thought the meat was a little mealy? Anyway, I didn't enjoy the green sauce either. The cheese sauce was pretty good. It was spicy and I enjoyed that. I don't think I'll come back and I don't recommend it. I live in Arizona so I'm accustomed to good Mexican food and this was not it!

Y'all already know, this restaurant keeps getting better and better every visit. Tamales were on point lots of meat with the right amount of masa. They were moist with the mole sauce (chefs kiss!) Chicken mole was perfect, taste like how grandma made it.. I do recommend an extra side of rice to soak up the sauce... don't waste that sauce yall!!! Service was great, refills and food came out quick. Can't wait to try menudo.

Visited on a Thursday evening. The restaurant was not busy. I've been here before and it under new management or revamped... the inside is still the same. The staff is courteous, but short staffed and there is definitely a cultural difference in service. When ordering you better be specific what you want and don't want. Bc the wait staff isn't going to ask you. The food tasted good. My margarita was too sweet ... I don't think they have a dedicated bartender. But I would definitely come by again.

Just went today for an appetizer and some drinks. Drinks were a bit high for a Tito's soda and Bacardi diet and fajita nachos were no bueno. Hunks on dry chicken and carne asada on chips. Not sure what has happen to this place.

They serve yummy and filling pozole on the weekends. Service was great. The birria tacos were devoured by the hubs.

This is a hidden gem in Roanoke!! Honestly, most of the time I've passed by it doesn't appear to be packed but I could also be passing by during slow hours. We decided to swing by last minute not knowing they closed at 7 on Sundays and they were so sweet to welcome us in with no hesitation to serve us. The waitress was so inviting along with the rest of the staff. Friendly smiles, amazing authentic food, and very nice environment. We loved the outdoor patio and would love to revisit when they aren't about to close (our fault) so we can see the complete set up! Thank you Maria Del Mar for existing. It's so hard to find authentic Mexican food within a decent driving distance and little did I know it's been here all this time.

The food and prices are fantastic. Great regular dining spot for Roanoke. It's legit Mexican cuisine like Grandy would make. Don't come for TexMex. Come for the real thing. My favorite dish so far is the pollo con mole.

Seriously enjoyed our dinner tonight at Maria Del Mar in Roanoke. The service was incredible and the food was even better, super fresh and delicious. We had the fish tacos & Marias sampler and both were on point. We also had margaritas and a couple appetizers, not pictured. Can't wait to go back. Check them out!

Good $5 happy hour margaritas! Tortilla soup was tasty, and I loved that it had big vegetables. I wish the vegetables were cooked a little bit more, but the taste of the soup was really good. Fajitas were tasty with lots of flavor.

I can only speak to our experience sitting at the bar since we were not seated in the dining room…read more We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and were able to grab two seats at the bar without any problem. The service was very good, although it was clear the bartender was extremely busy handling both the bar area and the outdoor seating. They could definitely benefit from a second bartender, as drink service was a little slow at times. That being said, the drinks were absolutely worth the wait. I had the Blueberry Habanero Margarita, which was tart, refreshing, and delicious. My husband started with a frozen margarita that he really enjoyed and later switched to a draft Modelo. For food, he ordered the pozole and I had the jumbo shrimp fajitas. Everything was exceptional. The ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, the dishes were well prepared, and the portions were generous enough that we left completely satisfied. What really excites us about this place is that it feels much more traditional Mexican than Tex Mex, which is much harder to find in this area. The food, drinks, and atmosphere all made a great impression on us, and we are so glad we discovered this spot. We will definitely be back!

Unfortunately, I never made it far enough into the experience to actually order any. When I arrived, I was told there weren't any high-top tables available in the bar. I could see an empty one, so I politely asked about it. I was told the server "wouldn't be able to get to it." Okay then. I didn't push the issue and agreed to sit in the dining room. At that point, I didn't even dare ask about a booth. The hostess was giving less "welcome to Chuy's" and more "you're not on the list" nightclub-bouncer energy. I was seated at a table and waited three or four minutes without being greeted. No "hello," no "I'll be right with you," no acknowledgment at all. A manager even walked past me. Nothing. The server I assumed was assigned to my table was taking an order nearby, which is completely understandable. I wasn't expecting him to abandon another guest mid-order. But a quick "Hey, I'll be with you in just a minute" would have taken about five seconds and made all the difference. Instead, I sat there apparently participating in Chuy's new invisible-customer program. Eventually, I decided my time was worth more than waiting to find out whether anyone planned to acknowledge my existence, so I left. On the way out, I told the hostess that no one had greeted me and that I was leaving. I also asked for a business card for the manager or general manager. She seemed flustered by the request and didn't know where the cards were -- or whether they even had any. I was told I would need to call later and ask for him. What surprised me most was that there was absolutely no attempt to recover the situation. No "I'm sorry." No "Let me grab the manager." No "Can we get you seated with someone right now?" No effort whatsoever to keep a customer who was literally standing there explaining why he was leaving. Instead, I got a smile and a "have a great day," which came across less as sincere hospitality and more like the customer-service equivalent of "thoughts and prayers." Restaurants get busy. Servers get overwhelmed. I completely understand that. What I don't understand is an entire front-of-house experience where nobody seems particularly interested in whether a guest stays or leaves. I came in ready to spend money on Mexican food and an irresponsible amount of queso. Somehow Chuy's managed to lose the sale before I could even order a drink. That's honestly impressive.
