Butter Chicken Pizza. Medium sized...sorry I had a few slices already lol

I'll break this up into 2 paragraphs since both the Maria Del Mar and the Oven Story Pizza restaurants are there. 1. For as long as I've been going to the Maria Del Mar, it has always been really damn solid, as from maybe 1 or 2 bad experiences, the restaurant itself is still one of my personal favorites. The atmosphere is solid, as well as customer service (wait staff, etc), and of course the food as well. The only thing that in my opinion is a bit of an issue is price, usually going up 15-30 dollars depending what you get such as their ribeye or some of their specials. Other than that, it is a pretty solid place. 2. The newly opened Oven Story Pizza is one of my favorite pizza restaurants I have stumbled across. The wait time usually isn't that long, around 15-30 minutes, and the food is also great. My personal favorite is the butter chicken pizza, and their tikka paneer pizza. However, like the Maria Del Mar, I feel like the price is a bit uppened for what you're getting ( S, M, X or XL ). However, I would still go to either one despite that. ( ps, I don't have any pics of the food at the Maria Del Mar, but like there's already plenty online )

I'm an extremely picky person when it comes to Mexican. There's good Mexican and then there's bad Mexican. Maria Del Mar, I would consider, is Great Mexican. I would call their menu a fusion between Authentic & Tex Mex. So many great flavors on the menu. We eat here a lot and we love it. I would consider this hands down, the best Mexican restaurant in the Keller, Alliance, Roanoke, TC area. In my opinion it's not even close and I like quite a few places in the area. Name me a place, I've been there and Maria Del Mar tops them all. I don't understand why it doesn't ever have a wait, because it's delicious food. Can't complain because we always sit down immediately and the food comes out hot & fresh, quickly. If you're looking for truly tasty Mexican with authentic flavors, this is a place you need to try. I want this place to stay in business. You should too if you visit!

Beef enchiladas. Mealy! I didn't enjoy it at all.

I'm not sure what all of the hoopla is about because I really did not enjoy this place. I got the beef enchiladas and I thought the meat was a little mealy? Anyway, I didn't enjoy the green sauce either. The cheese sauce was pretty good. It was spicy and I enjoyed that. I don't think I'll come back and I don't recommend it. I live in Arizona so I'm accustomed to good Mexican food and this was not it!

Y'all already know, this restaurant keeps getting better and better every visit. Tamales were on point lots of meat with the right amount of masa. They were moist with the mole sauce (chefs kiss!) Chicken mole was perfect, taste like how grandma made it.. I do recommend an extra side of rice to soak up the sauce... don't waste that sauce yall!!! Service was great, refills and food came out quick. Can't wait to try menudo.

We love the atmosphere and their food and drinks are superb! They have the best queso around and the staff is amazing and always on top of what ever we need

Visited on a Thursday evening. The restaurant was not busy. I've been here before and it under new management or revamped... the inside is still the same. The staff is courteous, but short staffed and there is definitely a cultural difference in service. When ordering you better be specific what you want and don't want. Bc the wait staff isn't going to ask you. The food tasted good. My margarita was too sweet ... I don't think they have a dedicated bartender. But I would definitely come by again.

This restaurant has become one Mexican favorite for us. When you arrive, the chips, salsa and FRIJOLES REFRITOS Food flavor, yummm AUTHENTIC.Their service, amazing! Simply, don't hesitate, and try to attend their live music events!

Just went today for an appetizer and some drinks. Drinks were a bit high for a Tito's soda and Bacardi diet and fajita nachos were no bueno. Hunks on dry chicken and carne asada on chips. Not sure what has happen to this place.

They serve yummy and filling pozole on the weekends. Service was great. The birria tacos were devoured by the hubs.

This is a hidden gem in Roanoke!! Honestly, most of the time I've passed by it doesn't appear to be packed but I could also be passing by during slow hours. We decided to swing by last minute not knowing they closed at 7 on Sundays and they were so sweet to welcome us in with no hesitation to serve us. The waitress was so inviting along with the rest of the staff. Friendly smiles, amazing authentic food, and very nice environment. We loved the outdoor patio and would love to revisit when they aren't about to close (our fault) so we can see the complete set up! Thank you Maria Del Mar for existing. It's so hard to find authentic Mexican food within a decent driving distance and little did I know it's been here all this time.

The food and prices are fantastic. Great regular dining spot for Roanoke. It's legit Mexican cuisine like Grandy would make. Don't come for TexMex. Come for the real thing. My favorite dish so far is the pollo con mole.

Seriously enjoyed our dinner tonight at Maria Del Mar in Roanoke. The service was incredible and the food was even better, super fresh and delicious. We had the fish tacos & Marias sampler and both were on point. We also had margaritas and a couple appetizers, not pictured. Can't wait to go back. Check them out!

Good $5 happy hour margaritas! Tortilla soup was tasty, and I loved that it had big vegetables. I wish the vegetables were cooked a little bit more, but the taste of the soup was really good. Fajitas were tasty with lots of flavor.

Overall, the food and drinks were just as delicious as we remembered. We ordered the same items each time: steak frites(filet) with chimichurri, French fries, and the Italian salad with chicken. Everything was just as delicious as we remembered! Our service on the first visit wasn't as good or as friendly as it usually is, so we were a little hesitant about making return visits but ultimately we did. On our last visit, bartender Derek was great, and it was nice to end our stay on a high note. We're definitely looking forward to our next trip back to Moxies.

The positives are the complimentary SPARKLING water, and the very nice bathrooms. My husband got the shrimp tacos and He thought they were fine. I had seen photos on Yelp of a delish looking french dip on a pretzel roll, but sadly that is discontinued. I ordered the appetizer of steak bites and seriously I had to chew about 25 times for about 75% of the pieces, I had asked for the medium rare and they were more toward medium well. I almost sent them back (but then I never know if they are going to spit in them or something, I think I have sent back 2 things in my entire life, so I wasn't really keen on that idea) I will say the horseradish sauce they came with was excellent, especially on the 25% of pieces I could actually chew easily

He was patient, attentive, and courteous throughout the evening. The menu is vast so we had many questions and he took his time to answer all of them. We decided to go with the three course menu. I went with burrata appetizer, 9oz filet mignon, and carrot cake for dessert. My medium rare steak was cooked perfectly and paired with creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. My friend got the scallop and shrimp sauté. The chefs did a fabulous job searing and cooking steak and seafood tenderly. Our dessert was the baked Alaska, carrot cake, and key lime pie. All were super generous portions enough to share. And the right sweet tooth to finish dinner. I would say Trulucks nailed the high end dining experience. And the food and service sold me to come back again. Thank you!

The manager said he had the air set on 69, and it just couldn't keep up. Well ... maybe turn it down even a tiny bit more. We have been to other restaurants this week and they were VERY cool!!! Now for drinks - We ordered dirty martinis - there was NOTHING dirty about them. Two olives and vodka. We asked for some olive juice which was brought to us so we could mix them ourselves at the table. I just think at $28 each, your drink should be made as requested... Appetizers - Calamari was great!!!! $27 Jumbo Lump Crab Cake was about the size of a Hostess Donette (you know the little powdered donuts). But in all fairness, we were told it was small; what we weren't told is that it was very runny - ewwww.. Dinner - The Miso-Glazed Seabass was really good! Our friends ordered off the fixed menu and enjoyed their dinner. Dungeness Crab .. taste was great but I have never ordered crab, and it not be served with seafood crackers to break the shells ... had to sit and wait for the waiter (and that's another issue) to come back so we could ask for something to crack them with .. Now the waiter - that man had NO personality!! We were there celebrating a birthday so he could have at least smiled ... for real! We had to constantly asked for things, he was not the least bit friendly and .. I have NEVER been to an upscale restaurant where the waiter had NO recommendations on wine... or at least had a sommelier to help! Desserts: Carrot Cake, Key Lime Pie, and Baked Alaska - all greatness!!!! Decaf Espresso Martinis - delish! Bottom Line: Meh - we were hot, service was horrible .. food was up and down .. not enough for us to return. I'll stick to our favorite upscale restaurants where you get what you pay for and it is all served with a smile!
