We have been meaning to try Gabriela & Sofia's for some time now, as we have heard wonderful things. And I will say that the food is delicious...so flavorful and tasty. The service was also great! My husband was disappointed that there were not any beers on tap (bottles only), but they had a delicious mixed drink menu. However, we were very disappointed in the atmosphere. We seated towards the back of the restaurant in direct line of sight of behind the "bar" where an employee's child was playing and a great view of ketchup bottles (who wants ketchup in a Mexican restaurant). Gabriela & Sofia's is in the $$ to $$$ price range, and at this price point ambiance should be continuous throughout the restaurant. Our unfortunate seating location sadly put a damper on the overall experience.

Mixed fajitas for two (shrimp, steak, & chicken). Amazing!

Came here for a birthday dinner. So glad we came! You will get some delicious food (must try fajitas) and amazing service. A nice neighborhood and a convenient parking too. I will definitely come back for myself. This is a good place to bring guests for a proper TEXMEX meal too. Last thing I want to say- Save a couple of bucks by paying cash!

Jalepeno Magarita!

Nice little spot in Flower Mound. Started out with the jalapeño Magarita and it didn't disappoint. I think they use some type a frozen jalapeño ball bc I encountered it after I finished my drink. It was a nice little frozen, spicy treat. Complimentary chips and salsa dips. Chips were very crispy which suited my style. I preferred the bean dip over the others. I tried something new with the Mole Chicken enchiladas. The mole sauce wasn't my style but they were packed with chicken so I just ate the guts. Great service and nice little lighted patio when the sun goes down.

Brisket tacos + soup Complimentary nachos

The portion was great for the price! The brisket was on the saltier side, but it was still delicious nonetheless. I've had Hispanic meats that tasted straight up like a salt brick, but this was good. A good salty. The salad and rice were delicious, wow, I ate that up. Complimentary nachos came with three dips. The salsa verde was perfect for me because it wasn't spicy at all! It was delicious. I came alone, so I guess the server didn't bother me a lot out of respect. I like that. It was good for me, and I could always wave them down whenever I needed. They kind of have an "open kitchen" so you can see what they're doing. The servers and chefs have a good relationship as far as I could see. All hardworking staff doing honest work. Everything I had was delicious and service was hospitable. I would come here again. What a great night. Gracias!

Great lunch specials. Try the cheese enchilada plate. You won't regret it. Good service as well. Nice environment over all.

Restaurants that call Parker Square home seem to change with the seasons. It's unfortunate, but there are still a few mainstays around like Gabriela & Sofia's. The fact that they have become successful in such an unforgiving environment is a testament to the quality of their food and service. Once you're seated they get the party started by bringing out thick, warm tortilla chips along with 3 different dips - a spicy red salsa, a milder verde salsa and black beans. Raise your hand if you're like me and tend to fill up on these before your entree arrives. On our last visit we were an extra hungry bunch so we ordered the table side guacamole as an appetizer. I will say that it took a long time for the server to prepare, but of course, good things come to those who wait! It was well crafted and very tasty. Despite being nearly full I still really enjoyed my cheese and chicken enchilada dinner. The sauces in particular were outstanding. Also, it was large enough for me to take home an entire meal from what was left. My husband wasn't quite as crazy about his combo fajitas. It was too heavy on the onions and light on the meat. All of it could have used a little more time on the grill as well. There would be no encore of this meal in his future. The rest of the family was on my team though, and thought their food was delicious.

10/10/10!!!! Food - 10/10 Service- 10/10 Atmosphere- 10/10 Our waiter Daniel was hands down one of the best servers we've had! Even though we came at 9:30 and they closed at 10:00, we felt no rush and he was super patient and kind explaining everything. Really made the experience that much more amazing. The other staff member, the gentleman who brought us chips was also awesome! It meant a lot when he checked up on us since we were out on the patio. Now on to the food. I normally am not big into Tex mex but let me tell you- the star of the show is their avocado sauce! I'm not sure what's in it but I could drink it straight! I ordered the fajitas- and it was so fresh and tasty- even the mushrooms and onions it was on were so yummy! My husband got Oaxaca nachos and he loved them. I would definitely come back!

Great service, okay food, great ambiance. The margaritas kept coming as my coworkers needed!

Combo fajita for 2 - subbed extra meat and veggies instead of the shrimp

First time trying and we are fans. We have been looking for a restaurant that was close to our old home and have not had any luck. Then we decided to try this place.... yum! If you haven't tried it you have to give them a try. I love the green dip and have not found anything even close to what I get when I go to Houston for I visit ny family....the green dip is almost a perfect match! We had the combo fajitas and they were delicious! Only thing we would change are the chips. They aren't horrible but we like the thinner chips. The service was great and didn't take forever to get food and it wasn't so loud you couldn't have a conversation

I still don't know exactly what I ate but it was PHENOMENAL chicken dish! Whatever it was, I would definitely order it again! And then there are Kim's (Mom's) pastries... OH MY! So light, fresh and absolutely delicious. Do not leave without trying one! They also have a great beer selection and some really good craft cocktails. My favorite was the Pandan Paloma--so refreshing and delicious! The food is wonderful, the people are so welcoming, and you can tell how much heart they've put into this place. Please go support this small business. We definitely want to see them stick around! A must try--you won't regret it!

This restaurant has been mentioned quite a bit in the gluten-free Dallas Facebook groups, and since it's only about 15 minutes from our house, we had to come check it out! We ordered quite a few appetizers, so we got to try a little bit of everything: * Lemongrass Fire Peanuts -- These were good, although I was expecting them to have a little more heat. They were actually slightly sweet, which just wasn't what I was expecting. * Grilled Calamari -- Delicious! * Fried Spring Rolls -- Good, but they felt a little oily and heavy. * Crab Rangoon -- SO yummy! Gluten-free crab Rangoon is practically unheard of, so this was such a fun find! * Grilled Shrimp -- Cooked perfectly but could have used a little more flavor. For dinner, we ordered the Chicken Pho, which was SO good. The lemongrass flavor really came through beautifully, and the broth was delicious. We also ordered the Grilled Ribeye with Chimichurri Sauce and Fried Rice, and this was probably everyone's favorite dish of the night! The ribeye was cooked really nicely, even though I was a little nervous because we weren't asked how we wanted it cooked. Luckily, it came out great. My husband also ordered the Shrimp Bowl, which he really enjoyed. The gluten-free dessert options were definitely lacking, but that was a relatively minor issue compared with how much we enjoyed the rest of the meal. I've heard they're working on expanding their gluten-free offerings, and I would love to come back and see what they add! Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be back. It's such a treat to have a restaurant where our daughter with celiac can enjoy so many different dishes alongside the rest of the family. Having options like gluten-free crab Rangoon and spring rolls is something we don't come across often, so we really appreciate it!

I didn't want to write them off completely before giving them a second chance though, so I came back with my family for an early Mother's Day dinner. On a busy Friday night they were fully prepared for the rush. Fresh chips and salsa arrived at our table just as we did. Happy hour hadn't ended yet, so we ordered a round of margaritas that also showed up quickly. Already this was an improvement over the previous visit. It was when we got our entrees that I was reminded of why I originally lost interest in this place. My chicken and cheese enchilada meal was about as average as it gets. My husband and sons had the same impression of their meals. To be clear, there was nothing wrong with any of the food. At the same time, there was nothing special about it either. Another thing that didn't help the situation was when I asked for their spiciest salsa they brought me a tiny cup that contained maybe a couple tablespoons of it. I didn't realize until the bill came that they charge extra for it. Furthermore, it was barely hotter than their regular salsa. Had I known all that, I would never have bothered with the request. Now, I have no problem with garden variety Tex Mex as long as it's priced accordingly, but I expected more here due to their higher prices. Fortunately, there's a Tex Mex place on practically every street corner and Mi Dia isn't the only game in town.

This night they had an espresso old fashioned which I have to admit was pretty good though wasn't sure when I ordered. Also have a chicken pot pie. The pie came out in a bowl and rather than a crusty bottom it came with a puff pastry atop. It worked though had uneven flavor throughout and slightly dry chicken. My wife thought it was perfect....LOL... to each their own. They do have a porch so perhaps in the spring weather time it will be a nice spot to get comfy with a drink. It is more a sports-themed bar with several large televisions and a large big screen in the center. Have Kenson make you an oatmeal cookie and you'll be pleasantly surprised. From the horse's mouth we were told the tacos probably weren't the best to try and so I'd stay away from those. Also tried the fish and chips and the fry was very much like a chicken fried steak than traditional FNC, though the flavor wasn't bad. Not sure I loved this style but the fries were great. People of all types came in and out the 3 or 4 hours we were there. Invited some friends to come out and join us and it was a good time so I'd recommend this place for groups. Didn't feel overcrowded here like at other places around town and I do prefer some elbow room.

Walked in, and the location was very nice and inviting. You could tell that it caters to regulars. There were a lot of them sitting at the bar, and most of the dining tables were empty, walked up to a tabletop, and was greeted byba female server immediately. Cudos on the prompt service. I asked her what was good, and she said everything was good, but the wings were phenomenal. Wanted something that I hadn't had. She said the nachos were pretty good, and I ordered chicken nachos. Me thinking it was like standard nachos. You know the chips with cheese and toppings ok them. Nope, that was def not it.. So it took a few minutes for the nachos to come out, and the bartender, I think, brought the dish out. And on first glance kinda disappointed. I forgot to take pictures also! Smh, sorry! Anyway, they brought me a dish that had about 6 mini tostadas with cheese, beans, and about 3 mayb 4 chicken mini pieces on it! Man, I wish I had remembered to take a photo. I would have given it more justice so you could get the full effect. The flavor was decent, but they barely put any sour cream, no Pico, and a little bit of lettuce. The sour cream wasn't even enough to use on all the 6 tostadas smh. I did see someone else order the wings and instantly regretted the nachos damn they looked good. Finished off my nachos and paid the tab. Now to rate. -Location 6 outa 10 very clean and nice also has a nice patio Service 6 outa 10 server was friendly and helpful -Nachos 2 outa 10 nothing special about them -Beer 4 outa 10 mug was nice and cold it's beer unless it's skunked you can't mess it up‍ Probability of me coming back 50/50. Might come back for the wings. Also worth noting that the server said they are rolling out a new menu in a few weeks or maybe days, and it might be why my experience was so so with the food. I did snag a couple of pics from another reviewer so that you can kinda see what I was dealing with but substitute the ground beef or whatever that is for 3 or 4 little chicken chunks. And calling the chicken chunks is giving a lot more like a chip off a chunk..

But we remembered how good the fried fish was here so we went back for another try. Sat at a table, Bryce was our server (he was very friendly and helpful). I ordered the house Pinot Grigio. After a few minutes he came back and said they were out. He offered the more expensive next choice for same type of wine and I agreed. Again, they were out; reason given that they were rotating those 2 wines off the menu. He said they had a few new ones not on the menu, one of which I recognized as reasonably priced, so I ordered it (mind you, fridays happy hour is half off wine bottles). I ordered the Ecco. No cold container was ever provided to keep it in. Bryce brought me some ice after a bit. Food came. Cauliflower was SO tasty! Chorizo taquitos were really good as well. We split the fish but added bacon wrapped shrimp and a crab cake. Most of this was really sad. The fish portion was tiny in comparison to what we'd previously experienced. Carb cake was cold and mushy. Fries were fine. Bacon wrapped shrimp was good, except the bacon on the inner wrapped part that was flabby. Bill comes. Ecco was $20 AT half price. I pay half that retail and we all know they pay less than that. Then a lady comes over (maybe a manager, she never introduced herself) and told us there were cases of the first wine I had ordered in the back. I guess it was too much work for them to look when I ordered? Or maybe this was the ole bait and switch. Because they never offered to charge for the price I should have paid for what I wanted, to make up for their "mistake". Sounds intentional to me. I can show you - Ecco is no $40 bottle of wine. Won't be back. As a side note, Lambeaus and Shoal Creek Tavern have same ownership as Verfs, so beware!!!
